"I ordered a chip and a hard drive, and after hearing horror stories about this company on the web, I tried to get order and/or shipping info from them. It was a total nightmare, and I had to go through all kinds of things just to talk to them (they were only available via IRC). And every time, somebody promised that the order would ship that day. Just when I was about to give up, the order arrived without any advance notice from the company.

I suspect that Xbox-Modchips had problems with their vendor in the US, and they definitely had poor communications.

Ultimately, the product was fine, and I got it in a reasonable time. But I had to worry and sweat about it, and there was no assurance from company reps about my order questions.

Once I received the premodded xbox, there was a problem with retail kernel. I contacted customer support and they set up an appointment under live support. That was a huge help. Most sites would have left you for yourself. They walked me through step by step until my xbox was fully functional. The support was friendly and patient (I'm a total newbie). "WOW! This is about the worst online shopping experience that I could have ever imagined having. I'm actually impressed by their severe lack of customer support and exceptionable tardiness.
I ordered a Spider Modchip from them on 28-12-2004 5:21pm and was sent an instant email telling me that the order was processed and that I need to wait for it to be shipped. Well, this is where this brilliant company began to shine. The website says "Availability: IN STOCK NOW!
Ships Within: 24 hours" Don't let that fool you. I waited a day. Not shipped. I waited 2 days. Not shipped. I contacted customer support. Never wrote back. I waited 5 days. Not shipped. Waited 8 days. Finally got a order 'complete' email update. Great, finally this ordeal is over right? Nope. Bad tracking number. Again, got into the "Help" IRCroom and was ignored (just like the 10+ other times I visited). Wrote another email. Never was responded too.
I am now waiting to see it the product was actually shipped. Should be here today, but you never know with these fools. I'll keep you all updated.
In the meantime...PLEASE do not waste your time and money on this website. Don't be fooled by the rating here at ResellerRatings. Good luck.

UPDATE. I finally recieved my Spiderchip. There is a problem though. Broken chip. Yes, they sent me a Spiderchip with a broken off switch. The on/off switch connecter was broken off from the chip, rendering it useless. Tried to install anyways, but it didn't work. I contacted the Returns desk and they amazingly responded within literally minutes, even though it was a useless response. I'm going to try(doubt I will) to get a full refund from Xbox-Modchips instead of a exchange, cause I'm done with this company. Again, good luck if you use their service.

"Stay away from these guys prices arent worth the headache. extreamly poor customer service. Ordered card with fedex. Originally fedex tracking number invalid. After talking to someone in the mirc room he had it pushed through. Logon information to check order, and excuses and a lot of angry customers on MIRC support room. I received my overnight package a week later and installed it. I went to mirc for support on how to finish install and was given wrong information by mirc tech. Card does not work now and there is no way to fix it now that they offer. I decided to scap the 40 bucks and order from a diffrent site, and hope I have better luck there."
