Ran Some test found out that does not have a Prescott CPU there not out til April but still Show on there site as a Prescott also wrong Memory put in PC problem have not been fixed YET!!!!!!!!

Found out that the CPU is not out yet was not there fault, they did make it up to me and was very nice about the problem that i ran into

"Purchased the 4774 for the purpose of having a mobile development station for the .NET platform. What I ended up with was a system with far more power. The 17" widescreen is amazing. The colors so crisp and vibrant due to the 128MB ATI Radeon 9600 Mobility Pro. It has every option available with plenty of expansion ports (USB 2.0 and Firewire). Load it up with XP Pro and this turns into a dual processor monster that can put even some of the more popular desktops to shame. Even the best Dell, Sony and Compaq can't compare to this system and it ended up costing about $1200 LESS!! So it is made by a company called "Pro-Star". Who cares what name is on it. Its the insides that matter and this machine has all brand name parts. The only downside is that the subwoofer seems a little weak but its amazing they even offer one on a laptop!! This is one very happy owner."

The primary distributor (ProStar) got backed up when I placed my order.
However, the guys at XtremeNotebooks stayed in contact with me, to reassure that they had not forgotten me, and were doing all they could to get my order to me as soon as possible. As soon as ProStar got their part done, XtremeNotebooks had my laptop to me the very next day.
Great performance under pressue, I'd say.
Also of note is the excellent value of the laptop. At XtremeNotebooks, they include some very nice deals for free xtras for a much better price than I would have gotten from ProStar. "I came into the market looking for a laptop that would run games fairly well. I admit my interest isn't purely educational/business-related. After scouring the internet, I came across a few companies, with xtremenotebooks being one of them.
I called and spoke with Mark. I already knew what I wanted, and he was courteous and didn't try to push anything I didn't want, which was nice. Also, Mark seemed genuinely "nice" when I spoke with him. Very refreshing for a customer service/salesperson to be so human.
I ordered the Prostar 5614 which just started shipping on September 10th (finally). Originally, the tentative ship date was 28 August, but that ended up slipping for nearly two weeks. Everytime I emailed Mark about an update, a reply was sitting in my inbox within an hour.
My only complaint about the company was the lack of volunteered information. In my case, I was charged the price of my laptop two full weeks before my laptop shipped. $2300 dollars sitting out of an account with nothing to show for it tends to not always sit well with me. Also, since my laptop was delayed, so to speak, a few weeks, it would have been nice to get a short email proactively from Xtreme Notebooks about what was happening. Like I said, though, whenever I was the one seeking information, the answer was always quick to follow.
Overall, I was very satisfied about by experience with Xtreme Notebooks. When I am in the market for another laptop, I will be coming back here. "
"It was incredible; I was reffered by a friend who had purchased a machine. I just can't say enough about this company. I would not do them justice. It was awesome to say the least. First of all I was treated w/respect, as an individuall, I did not ever feel like they just wanted to make the sale and get rid of me. Second, Jeff was great we talked about the Lord; I felt like I was talking to an old friend; It was great really. Even if you are not a Christian, you need to know that this company is setting the standard for excellency and customer service. This is the way God meant for businesses to be run and for customers to be treated...w/respect and honor. "Ordered laptop from an international location, which they allowed at that time (APO/FPO address). Never got the computer. After wrangling with them for 10 months, finally got 85% refund. What's more, I never saw the remaining 15% (approx. $300). They did do an admirable job of attempting to rectify the situation. However, they did not treat me as ethically as they claim they treat their customers in their mission statement. They lied about phone conversations regarding the whole thing, and even called me two faced. This is not the practice of an ethical company. Maybe stateside they are great, but my experience with this company was mostly a tug of war. I believe that if push comes to shove, they will do just about anything they can do to protect themselves. **. They don't always live up to the business credo that "the customer is always right". They will say things over the phone and then deny saying those same things. I would advise caution to anyone who would do business with them. If it is a perfectly executed sale, then great. "With out question the quality of products we were purchasing were superb. Compared to all the companies, Dell, Compaq, Sony, Toshiba etc. the Prostar 5634 was the best quality and value. My son is a computer buff who at 18 worked in his schools tech dept and outside at a company that does video networking. He is a very smart shopper with many connections. We found out about Xtremenotebooks only 1 week before the purchase and that was all the time we needed to make our final decision. That, however, is not why I am spending the time to write. As a parent with a student going off to college, I wanted the best for him in our budget. I did not want to spend $2000 on a product or a company that I was not comfortable with. From my first inquiry with Dave I knew I had found that company. I told them how important it was to have this computer the way we wanted it and on time. I received 5 calls subsequent to that to let me know the status of my purchase, when it was to arrive in the office, when it was to be shipped and believe it or not after we received it, a call to see if everything worked out. I was floored and impressed. "I ordered my 5634 notebook from Xtreme Notebooks on July 23 and I received it on August 7; I would have had it one day earlier, except that UPS wouldn't release it to my son (who is only 15) because they needed someone 21 or older to sign for it, so I had to take one day off of work to be there when UPS redelivered it to my residence. Other than that, the ordering process with these guys was flawless. The laptop was everything I expected and more. After about a week however the laptop began crashing, at first intermittently, then regularly, and finally got to the point that it wouldn't hardly boot at all. I called Xtreme up, they gave me a few pointers, it turned out to be a flaky memory chip, and after removing it (I had two installed), it began running perfectly. I let the folks at Xtreme know what I found out and they even offered to get an RMA number from ProStar on my behalf. During the entire time they were exceedingly courteous and professional, and in my opinion went above and beyond "the call of duty". Mark even went so far as to do research on the particular memory errors I was receiving in Windows and emailed me within a very short time what he had found. I understand that hardware failures happen, and I don't blame either ProStar or Xtreme, and I will not hesitate to purchase or recommend from them in the future. Thanks a bunch!

P4 2.66 GHz, 512 MB RAM (1 stick), 40GB 5400 rpm HDD, DVD-CD R/W combo drive, 15" WUXGA screen, 3 year warranty. No OS. 3year warranty (they were running a special :))
Recevied on 06/16/2003.
Loaded WinXP Pro and all drivers in order specified by users manual. Had video problem where pixels were displaying colors as a "negative image". After trying everything I knew. Got RMA number from Xtreme and then shipped it to ProStar in California ($45 shipping).
Had my laptop back within 3 days of ProStar receiving it and replacing the LCD screen.
ProStar 5634 - The Good:
1) The WUXGA screen is amazing! When I show it to friends, I play the StarWars Episode II DVD. Stunning graphics.
2) I haven't loaded a lot of stuff on it yet, but everything I've run so far is very fast.
ProStar 5634 - The Bad:
1) The keyboard seems a little flimsy to me. It has more flex than other laptops I've used.
2) The new screen they mounted also seems frail. (the old one did too). I cringe when I open the LCD afraid I might crack it. The seam on the right side pops open a little when opening it and I pinch it back together.
I'm glad I got the 3-year warranty!

All said and done - it's a great laptop. Remember that any quality issues are not a reflection on XtremeNotebooks.com though. They just sell the ProStar notebooks. As a company, XtremeNotebooks.com is great and I'd deal with them again.
