Reaching chords was difficult on the Nylon as it was a stretch; the fender was tough because of how tight the strings are. The quality craftsmanship, the buying experience...everything made me feel less like an outsider and more like I was a student of Mr. Zager and his son. My guitar arrived in a beautiful case. "I purchased a Zager guitar several years ago several years ago after reading reviews and speaking with Denny Sr without having played one. When I got it, it as if I had an old friend. It was so easy to play and sounded so good I could not believe it. Being under 5 ft tall tho it was a little bit large for me so I soon invested in a second Zager guitar, a ZAD 80 OM. It was slightly smaller, but had the same sweet sound and easy playing ability. I love this one and I’ll never give this guitar up! Zager guitars are as good as advertised and get better with age. Your flyer recommends setting the action to 3/8” at the 12th fret, but I set mine to 1/4”, and the only buzz I get is from my long unpracticed technique. "

"Like many of you reading this review I was trying to determine if Zager guitars were the real deal. I finally took the leap and ordered the ZAD900CE hoping the the 100% satisfaction guarantee would be hassle free if I decided the Zager wasn't for me. Upon receiving the guitar I immediately took it out and began to play it. Just like the other reviews I was immediately taken back by the tone, clarity, and projection of this guitar. Quite amazing for an instrument that hasn't even had a chance to age. Just to make sure I wasn't simply smitten my new gear I took out my 20 yr old Martin DC16-GTE to compare them. My Martin has been professionally set up and the action is dialed in for me, so it just feels right. What I did notice right away is the Zager made my Martin sound a bit lifeless.

I love my Martin, but the Zager outshined it immediately in sound quality even before plugging it in and using the AURA system. There were two things I did not like about the Zager upon initial examination. First, I found the action to be too high for my playing style, which quite honestly I found surprising given all I've read. Second, the fit and finish is phenomenal on this guitar with one exception. I felt like the finish on the bridge pins did not match the quality of the rest of the guitar.

This purchase was a stretch for me, and really a stretch once I break the news to my wife, so I needed to love everything about this guitar to avoid sending it back. I decided to reach out to Zager and express the two hangups I had. To my surprise, Dennis Jr. himself replied almost immediately and treated me like I was an A-list artist that was signing a contract to play a Zager guitar. My complete satisfaction seemed to be his top priority, and he didn't seem to care wether I was a rock star or a guy who leads worship at a small church. I am the latter. He addressed my concerns, provided me guidance on getting my guitar dialed in, and sent me new bridge pins to ensure I was happy. Now that the guitar is dialed in I am very happy, and decided to take a few moments to share my experience. This level of care and concern for the happiness of customers is rare these days, and it's natural to be skeptical of claims from online sellers. Zager guitars has earned a fan for life because they are the real deal. Take the leap. You won't be disappointed!"

I received my ZAD 80CE today. It arrived a day earlier than scheduled. WOW! I pulled out of the box and tuned it with the on board tuner, and it has not dropped a note since. I thought my Polar was nice, but this has blown me away. The tone resonates for a long time, and the ease of playability has surpassed my expectations.

It is beautiful and sounds wonderful. Again the finish like my polar is so smooth and strong. I have opted not to put the pickguard on.
