The checkout process was missleading, and only after completing my order and checking on the status was I informed that my payment method e-check had a 5 day processing time, even though they had my money out of my account within 2days. Then to top it off they waited till 1 day after the 5day waiting period to varify the order, then waited another day to ship. I tried to address my concerns to their customer service and got no response so I'm here rating them maybe that they will respond to. This is in reference to item #101577, "Seagate Cheetah 10K.7 ST373207LW [...] Hard Drive..." as part of Order No. Zxxxxxxx (the other half of the order arrived in fine condition, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet).
I have found nirvana: a discount computer parts company THAT PACKS DISK DRIVES CORRECTLY!!! The drive arrived without visible damage, has been running [accordinding to SMART, 78.5 hours without a single error reported], and if any problems occur in the future, they won't be your fault.
Could you find out and tell me if it's standard ZipZoomfly procedure to re-pack individual disk drives into the white semi-hard plastic box enclosure you sent it in? [According to my friend who recommended them, yes.] This is VERY important, because:
The disk drive this is replacing failed due to mechanical problems, and was probably the one roughed up in shipment when I bought it from NewEgg three and a half years ago; they did not properly pack it.
My first attempt at replacing the drive was with PC Connection, which TOTALLY mis-packed the drive; I sent that one straight back to them.

I still have not recieved a refund from zipzoomfly after almost four months and have made numerous phone calls, and sent two emails which were never answered trying to resolve this matter. The customer service reps. told me each time that they would take care of it. They never have, and now I am having to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge. "First off, This place shipped the product to me just fine; speedy delivery. But it ends there. The video card I got was a Sapphire x1950 pro 256mb, and it malfunctioned. I did not know this so I switched the fan on it for the exact same one the the higher end x1950 Sapphire card had, because It was showing signs of overheating (it would run 2d programs fine but with 3d apps it would crash my entire computer). This did nothing to help it out so I did some research online and found out that there was a bad batch of the videocard that I got. I send my card back with the original fan and the new fan still attached to show that It wasnt overheating because it was a Good Zalman fan that the higher end cards use. I e-mailed them telling them that i wanted my money back and that i switched the fan and they sent me the RMA number to send it in. I sent the card in for 2 day shipping. about 2 weeks later i finally get an e-mail saying they have to send it to sapphire (which i understand since i switched the fan). Now It's been over a month and a half and they wont e-mail me unless i e-mail them first and they told me 2 weeks 4 weeks ago so idk what to do anymore and will most likely have to go buy a different video card because there sending me in circles. I've lost too much production because of the loss of my video card. This company is good to get your item but after that your on your own, dont expect your money back or an exchange."
