"I ordered the Kodak CX7530 and the dock accessory online. I did recieve the "contact us" email. I called and confirmed the order. The respresentative did inquiry as to other possible accessories which I politely declined, and he did mention another "bundle deal" which sounded good, however, I also decline. He confirmed the total price, which was actually a couple shipping dollars cheaper than the website and wished me a happy holiday. I even called back to reconfirm the price and he was pleasant then also. I received a confirmation email that the order was shipped and received the items 3 days after I placed the order. The experience was hassle free and pleasant, service was good, and I received the merchandise much quicker then I expected. The item is a gift so assuming the merchandise works and they back up their sale, then overall I'd say my experience was very good."

"I tried to purchase a Casio Exilim Ex-Z55 from A & M Photo World. After submitting my order, I received and email and phone call from A & M to verify my order. When I did, I was told that the camera only came with a 30 minute battey and that a extended battery would cost $99.00. I was told that the camera was in stock and told them I did'nt want the extra battery. After two days, I noticed that my credit card had not been charged. I called A & M and was told that the camera that was in stock was now on back order. The camera was listed on A & M for $299.00 and listed at several other sites including Circuit City for $399.00. Obviously, the $99.00 for the extended battery brings A & M to parity with the other sites for this camera. I do believe that A & M is a fraudulent merchant. I'm also fearful that my credit card information is now in the hands of theives and have contacted my credit card servicer."

"Horrible service. First, I received an e-mail that before my camera ships, I need to call them. When I called them, they told me that the camera comes without a battery (which is INCLUDED in the package since it's a brand new camera) and I can purchase it for $199... I politely declined, knowing that it costs $20 anywhere else. They said that was it, they will ship my camera. Couple weeks later, I checked the status online, and it shows that my order is on backorder??!!?? I go to their site again, and the camera is right there, still available for sale, nothing about a backorder anywhere? It's a scam in my opinion, and I doubt I will receive anything in the future... Worst service I've seen so far, and I place orders online pretty much daily, with hundreds of different merchants... these guys have to be the worst!!! BEWARE!!!"

"I almost got taken like many others! I called to verify what came with the camera. I had a check list and asked about each one individually and the sales person told me that all the items I mentioned came with the camera. I placed the order then called to confirm. Surprise! This was for the camera only and no other items. I told the person that the salesmam told me otherwise and he said that it was for the US version which was clearly spelled out on the web site. He couldn't get me to the web page. I went over it again and was put on hold for 20 minutes until I got cut off. I called back and went throught the whole thing again. They told me that they were sorry for the misunderstanding and that they would be happy to sell me the whole package for $369. I said no deal. What a rip off! Don't do business with them, you'll be sorry!!"

"I was going to buy the Fujifilm FinePix S5100 Digital Camera and I Called to verify that indeed they had the camera I wanted in stock, the guy said that, YES it was, and it would ship in 5 days. I got an email saying that I needed to verify my order, when I called back, the guy told me that I needed the "upgrade" pakage that costs 100dlls extra...I told him I did not need any extra stuff, he then told me the camara would not work, because it did not have cables, or software, or batteries, I told him no problem, I have rechargable batteries, and you dont need the software really if you have a memory reader...he said, well, this camera does not even come in a box! again, I said, no problem, I dont need the original box...he then told me "fine then you will get your camera in 8 to 10 weeks" WHAT?? I asked why? "because it comes from over seas" if you need it sooner, you can order our american product, for the 100dlls extra! I said: why this info and price diference is not on your website? what kind of SCAM is this? he said, "sir...I wont help you any more, unless you apoligize, for calling me a liar!" I said, YOU ARE A LIAR! and he said "sir you will no longer be a customer of ours! your order is cancelled! WHAT A JOKE! (the guy was "Gary" @ 1-***-***-**** x 789) I have now called the BBB and filled a complaint, PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE.....the prices are TO GOOD TO BE TRUE"

"I had a very very bad experience ordering from A&M Photo World. I ordered a camera, the Sony DSC-T1, for $349 which is in stock, according to the website. However, I soon received an email stating that the product is out of stock and they changed my order to the Sony DSC-T11. The T11 is advertised on the website as $329, cheaper than the T1 so I called to inquire about the price difference. The very rude salesman, Alan at extension 273, insisted that the Japanese version is the one that is $50 cheaper but the USA version, which can only be found by searching the site for "dsc-t11 USA" is listed as $899. The T11 and T11 USA have exactly the same specifications according to the A&M website. I was wary of the whole situation so I tried to cancel the order. Alan told me that there is a $75 cancellation fee, even though I never ordered the T11. I never agreed to purchasing the T11. I do not want the T11. I do not believe Alan, regardless of how rude he is and how loud he yells, should be able to strong-arm me into paying him $75 or receiving a product I did not order."

"Wow. Slimy, slimy place.

They were rated 5 stars by the rating company that they made up. I placed my order, and I find you need to make a "confirmation" call where they start to sell you the stuff that typically comes in the box: a remote, a power cable. At this point I'm thinking, "Oh boy, this sales pitch." Next he started with the extended warranty and "cleaning service". After saying "No" to his offer about ten times, he still refused to quit. Finally, sensing evil, I said to "cancel the order". Now suddenly he brings up a cancellation fee that's not listed on the website and I told him that that was unacceptable, then changes his mind and decides to sell me the TV, remote and power cable at a price 60 dollars higher than what I wanted to buy at originally.

This left a bad taste in my mouth, and so I found myself putting a block on the credit card 10 minutes later. On calling the guy back and saying I want to cancel, he hangs up. Finally, I left a message saying that the order was cancelled and the credit card was blocked and VISA was advised of fraud.

I wish I'd found this site before I made the order.

"This was without a doubt the worst internet transaction I have ever attempted. I am a real estate investor and needed a digital camera to photograph progress on the homes I renovate. The A&M website indicated the camera I ordered was in stock and would ship in 1-2 days. I received no information to the contrary until I called for status a week later and was told the camera was on back order and would ship in 2-3 weeks. However, the A&M representative added that he was sure that if I would like to upgrade to a more expensive package that they could get me the camera more quickly. I said no, that I would like to stick with the basic package. Two weeks later I called again for status and again was told it would be 2-3 weeks. When I asked to speak to a manager, the representative refused and told me to "stop bullying" him. I asked again to speak to Andy's supervisor and he said he only reported to his wife and that he was not going to let me speak to her. I hung up the phone and called back to request the name and contact information of the owners of the company. The operator refused to give me the information and would only transfer me back to customer service. I have now cancelled my order and will certainly never do business with this pathetic excuse for a company again."

"This is a rip-off. They offered a Canon S1 IS at a great price. I ordered online and got a message to call them. When I called they tried to sell me all sort of extras. "Thank you to all of you who posted on this site! I made a purchase from this store for a new camcorder. Not until after the purchase did I find this site. Skeptical, I called the company after I obtained my confirmation number. I asked them if the camera I bought was a "European" model. They said no, I had purchased the correct camera. Later that evening I called again to ask a question only to find out from the sales person that the camera I purchased did not come with any accessories, no battery, no charger, etc. The model I needed to buy was $699 and not the $445 that I thought was the price. I immediately cancelled my order. Thanks again to all of you who posted to save me some trouble."

"The WORST customer service ever. I placed an order back on September 6 for a digital camera. I received an e-mail saying that I needed to call them to expedite the sale. When I called them they wanted me to buy an extended guarantee and accessories. I said no and they told me that the item will be shipped in 6-8 weeks! This even thought the website says the item is in stock. I called them today (over 2 months later) and they told me that the vendor has not shipped them the cameras. Again I checked their website and it says they have it in stock. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BUY FROM THIS PLACE."

"BUYER BEWARE!!! Broken promises, misrepresentaions and rudeness!! I called 4 different times to make sure my product was in-stock and ready to ship. But AFTER I placed my order, I received an email saying the camcorder was on backorder and gave no promised delivery date. I then called and talked with a supervisor. He told me that they hoped to have this camcorder available within 3-4 WEEKS (but gave me no guarantees). One customer service rep was also rude and offensive when I did not agree to purchase extra products and upgraded services."
