"Ordered a Canon T2i for the advertised price of $579 plus tripod for $24.98 on March 17th. Received phone call from salesperson on 3/20/12 asking me to confirm order. I emailed him back a confirmation but received nothing in response. On 3/22/12 I called back to confirm my order by phone and was upsold a battery and 8gb memory card for an additional $175 by a fast talking salesmen named "Mickey". Taking my order total to $779.
My order arrived on March 30th, nearly two weeks after it was placed. The memory card was not even the brand listed on my order and I have since looked at prices on Amazon for the same items I was charged the additional $175 for. The memory card goes for $8.99 and the battery for $4.00!!!
This company is a complete and total scam. I saw them listed on a camera review site and thought the were a reputable company. My mistake!!
Now, all I want to do is return the entire order and purchase elsewhere. I'm sure it will be a hassle to do so. I just want my money back! These people are thieves."

"Mickey was a superb salesman. I knew he was "selling" me; after all, I've been a "fine art" photographer for 40 years. But I also knew that Mickey really knew his stuff and that most of the accessories he mentioned were items I needed. Some I had planned to buy (one extra battery), while others I hadn't thought of. Mickey's presentation made a lot of sense and I wound up buying an extended warranty (which I've never done before), two (not one) extra batteries, and a 16GB compact flash (I'd only planned to purchase a 8GB). When our order was concluded, Mickey was kind enough to offer me 2 dayFed Ex shipment which was truly appreciated.
I've been a passionate photographer for four decades, and have purchased many cameras, gear, and accessories online. Most online salespeople are OK, but they are often transparent in that they just want to sell,sell, sell without regard for what you really need. More than doing his job well, I felt Mickey cared about me and my photographic needs. He was a pleasure to work with.

Update 3/27/2012: I got a lot more than one thing right in my review. My bank informed me that my card was compromised TWO DAYS after your company called me and asked me to confirm my credit card transaction/information. Somehow, somewhere your company compromised my information. I did not use this card for any other transactions a full week before/after making this purchase. No, I cannot be 100% positive but I did not buy anything else with this card besides transactions at my bank. Do not be condescending to me. I will continue to warn people about your business regardless of what you post on this review site.

They had to call to verify my order, 24 hours after ordering - some may think this is an inconvenience but if it's truly for security reasons (which I have no reason to doubt) - kudos to them! "I had never ordered on-line before and was quiet hesitant because of the "bad rap" heard all of the time from people who had been "burned" by such companies. I decided to order my new camera from BestPricePhoto.com. The salesperson did a great job of helping me through the decision-making process with the exceptions of some misscomunication concerning batteries and Gray Market cameras. After placing the order and thinking for twenty minutes, I just "knew" I had made a hugh mistake by ordering on-line. I called the company back, talked to customer service, and told them my concerns. They walked me through my transaction and confirmed there had been a misscomunication concerning the batteries. They adjusted the price I paid accordingly and put my mind to ease. I felt better. However, the next day, after reading on the internet concerning Gray Market vs U.S. Market cameras, I convinced myself since I didn't get a warranty card or sales slip in the camera package, the camera I got "MUST" be a Gray Market camera. So I called up customer service at BestPricePhoto.com once again complaining! Thank goodness, once again the very understanding person on the other end of the line listened to my "concerns" and completely satisfied my questions. He did not rush me or make me feel foolish.
