"I placed an order of a Camcorder (Panasonic TM900)with them, provided my credit card information, and the order was confirmed on Jan 2, 2012. In the order, they charged $28 for shipping to Toronto, Canada (free shipping to US customers). On Jan 3, I received an email from Eric at BestPricePhoto saying I need to call them to confirm the order due to the high value of my order ($600). I called Eric and confirmed my address with him. He then asked me if I need to purchase extra accessories like extra batteries, etc, with the extra cost of $100-$200. I said no. Then he said the shipping cost had to be $89 instead of $28 for a small Camcorder (1 lb?). I asked him the dimension of the package and suggested he could get the real shipping cost from USPS website. He said they would charge me $89 for shipping no matter how much the real cost it would be. I was so upset and canceled the order.
Later at the day, Anthony from Customer Service at BestPricePhoto called me and explained that the $28 shipping cost was correct. The $89 includes an estimate of customs fee for Canadian customers. I am ok with the explanation... Colin"

"I am responding to the above comment from Anthony. Yes, we received our package in a Timely manner; however, it was not in the correct box (Strange for a 2600 dollar purchase). Yes, we did order the other batteries, which in retrospect was a complete scam!

Why did I wait 6 months to contact you? Well, we assumed that it was our fault that we purchased that batteries with the worthless tripod, bag, and filters. However, our usb chord stopped working; thus, we called canon and we were informed that you were not an authorized dealer of canon products. They also informed us typically online stores such as bestpricephoto replace the components inside the box with used and non-original components. Furthermore, we did not receive a guarantee card inside our box; thus, we were informed that our warranty most likely is not valid. This is because "BestPricePhoto" is a black market dealer. Not the words out of my mouth, these are the words of Canon.

Now, I have called, but it takes 20 minutes to get through to anyone, and I do not have that kind of time during my business hours. The other reason I am leaving a comment is because I want everyone to know they are not an authorized dealer of Canon products. Best price photo is not an authorized dealer of canon products, and my guess anything. I recently spent 2600 dollars on a Canon 5d mark II, and it did not come in its original box. It did not come with the original batteries or chords. It was the worst purchase I have ever made. Furthermore, it did not come with the original warranty. What a scam this place is!!!!"

"Late in the evening on the 21st we decided that we were going to purchase a new camera, it was a bonus when we saw the great price through BPP, the free accessories, and that they were going to be able to get it to us by Christmas.

Originally we thought it would have been a pipe dream to have in time to capture our son's 1st Christmas (he's just short of 10 months old). But the BestPricePhoto site did advertise that with the 2 day express shipping, BPP would upgrade us to next day air. The next day when I spoke with Chris to confirm my order he reiterated that we should expect it the following day (23rd). Unfortunately that was not so -- we received the camera on the 27th with the accessories to follow.

I spoke with Anthony in BPP's customer service department who couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. We ended up splitting the shipping charge, and he is going to throw in a battery and upgrade some of the accessories as well. I understand that holiday shipping is crazy and I don't really know who (if anyone) was at fault for the lateness of the package. We weren't really all that upset because we realized that we were up against it time-wise.

And we love the camera. Price was great, and I would order from BPP again."
