"I had placed an order for a Canon EOS T2i on 18th of Nov. Everything was okay and I got a confirmation email of my order until I called customer service to confirm my order on 30th of November. The first person I spoke to was polite and he transferred my call to another person to deal with my case.
When I spoke to the second person, he asked me for my zip code. I said its international and then he asked me for my surname, I gave him my surname and he said that the order cannot be processed because they do not have stock of the camera.
I asked him as to what can be done. He said they will have to cancel the order.
I questioned him about the listing that was still visible on their website, to that he answered " we dont' have stock and thats it" that was in a very rude manner. With so many good rating around, I was taken aback for a while. When I asked him if something can be done, he said the transaction was made by an international credit card, anyways it cannot be processed; & if, I had a American card. BestPricePhoto.Com have you forgot that you also serve international customers? Do you expect all international customers to use American cards?
I was very upset and I requested them to cancel the order. The order was put on hold until I called them again and asked them to send me an cancellation confirmaton, which they did though.
Why did BestPricePhoto.Com behave in such a way? Is it because they no longer wanted to ship the item at $588 as the price had changed to $605 or more later?
Why was the item still listed when it was not in stock? However the listing said Availability "In Stock" till date.
I came to shop with BestPricePhoto.Com because of their ratings here and the positive feedback from buyers + attractive pricing. But I guess cheap is always cheap & I felt very cheap at the way BestPricePhoto.Com behaved with me.
Real unpleasant experience & hard to believe when you've got such feedback and ratings here. Let the truth come out.

Our stock on the Canon T2i was not available at the time of sale (The costomer service rep could have asked me if I can wait for stocks to arrive, the website at that point of time showed "Stocks Available").

Another concern was the credit card issued in Dubai would not verify & the customer wanted his package shipped to a P/O Box in Iowa (The same card was used to purchase the Camera as well as a Lens from another site; BestpricePhoto could have emailed me about this).

Our sales representative states when the customer called our company with concern towards his order, he was on skype (I don't understand how this matters if someone calls from skype or landline or cellphone. An update in your webiste to this effect should be done asking customers to call from landlines or cellphones) & very confrontational (I don't see why I should be confrontational, I just called to confirm my order).

Bestpricephoto.com does not process overseas credit cards unless the consumer provides documents to verify their identity (This is not mentioned anywhere in the website terms and conditions for International Credit Card holders.).

If you're going to try to sell me something, be up front about it.

This was an attempt to sell me a $50 battery (a $10 addition to the $40 battery he was also trying to sell me, not the one the camera came with - and yes, I ASKED EXACTLY THIS), not throw one in for just $10 more than the cost of the camera. Perhaps like this one (http://bestpricephoto.com/h/product_info.php/canon-nb6l-lithium-ion-battery-p-20502) one? Note, that is $59, not $10..... Interestingly, none of the batteries on the site list a real amp/Hour rating (actual work the battery can do) in order to make an educated choice. They just promise "extended life" or "long life." Red flag anyone?"
