terrible quality, terrible service

"DON'T BUY THE HONEYCOMB BLINDS! THEY ARE TERRIBLE. I bought many of these and every one behaves differently. I've been working with the company for 6 months. They still fall off the mounts (which are also terrible). Some don't go back up. The service is slow and never returns calls or emails. "

Very poor company with very shady business practices

"I would definitely not go by the color of their samples for one, because the order that we received looked completely different. And, when you call to tell them that you are dissatisfied with the color of the blind and the structure of the valance there are NO RETURNS WHATSOEVER. Additional they count any exchange that you have ever made with them towards your 4 exchanges. So apparently it is lifetime exchanges WHICH IS NOT CLEARLY STATED ON THEIR POLICY.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

"Guess I was lucky, had to cancel my order. Placed order on 12/1/15, got an email on 12/3/15 saying the estimated ship date is 3/9/2016. 2016!!!! So much for the "Order by 12/7 and receive by 12/25 or it's free*", back orders don't count. How can you be in business and a lead time of 13 weeks?"

"I wish I had taken the time to read reviews before making the purchase. I ordered a roller shade with a measurement of 281/2 inches, the shade was cut to 27 inches,a substantial discrepancy. When I called Customer Service, I was told to take a picture of the blind with a metal tape measure and email the photo back to them AND if the blind measured at least 27 and 1/16th inches it was within their specs and I was out of luck. I can not use the shade as you can imagine there are large gaps. Do not use this company ,even home depot does a better job and it is not their specialty. Save your money. I now have a $73.00 unusable item. "

"I actually found this website after I placed my order. I was a little worried at first but then the order came and the products were awesome. They were exactly as I measured and fit perfectly. So great to have a shade that fits my window instead of the old faux wood blinds that were cut to size at the store. Looking back at the reviews on this site, I wanted to share my review that Blindsgalore was awesome and they answered my questions before I ordered and fulfilled the order just as I specified. "Very dissatisfied, 1st blind ready to install, end cap was off, 2nd blind went to install, the whole shade rolled off the blind roller. Looked at other blinds in their packing, some end caps were off.
Did not want to put any more holes in our new home window casings and have the blinds roll off therefore we called Blinds galore and were very disappointed with the blinds and with the service, there was always someone going to call us the next day which never happened. We asked for a full refund as we felt the blinds did not meet the quality we were seeking, did not want replacement as we felt the same thing would happen again with this product. Our blinds went from Richmond to Alberta then came to us in BC due to wrong Postal Code on Packing Slip. We were called once and were awoken @ 6:35 a.m, we thought someone in the family was sick or injured, not a call at that time in the morning from Blinds galore customer service. We are still awaiting a call from a Manager as per our phone calls....none as yet. We keep trying to get somewhere with this issue.

"I was a little weary about Blinds Galore because of some bad reviews I saw online, but I decided to take a chance and I am SO glad I did. We ordered 8 sets of natural roman shades for our house, each window was a slightly different size. When the order arrived, it was packaged with great care, no parts missing and everything was in perfect shape. The blinds had all been cut exactly according to our specifications, they fit each window like a glove and they look amazing! Very high quality, expensive look at a steal compared to other custom window treatment options we had looked at (Lowe's and Home Depot to name a few). We purchased the black out lining for the windows in the bedrooms but opted for no lining on the windows in the living and kitchen area. Both kinds look perfect! I would definitely recommend using Blinds Galore! Just make sure that you measure your windows properly, I honestly think that's why other people have bad things to say about Blinds Galore, when the mistake was really on their own part in measuring their windows wrong. "

"A horrible retailer. poor quality at best and then refuse to take returns. save your money -- and buy elsewhere. I spent over $200 and have shades that are so low quality I would never hang them. So basically just out the money and spent another $200+ buying decent shades. What a waste....DO NOT BUY."

"I orderred several blinds from blindsgalore.com. The design of blinds is good, but the key problem is that the blinds emit very strong odor. This odor makes my headache. I called the customer service. They told me that the odor will go away after several days, but after one month the odor is still here. If you do not care about the odor, then you can buy it. Otherwise, never buy it from blindsgalore.com. I cannot return it, since the shipping cost is too high. Thus, I have to throw them away."

"Ordered a blackout shade, it arrived in a timely manner but was installed unevenly on the roll so had to be hung at an angle. This caused much light to come in at the top. I contacted customer service and was told I was allowed one return. I sent the shade back and ordered blinds, figuring they would block more light. The blinds are very cheaply made, could get a better product at a local hardware store for one half the price. Light come through the blinds, and through the sides and top.

Blindsgalore will create products to the correct size, they will just be of inferior quality. They only allow one return, so now I'm stuck with an inferior product. I plan to take these blinds to Goodwill and buy something from a hardware store. Not as convenient of getting them shipped to my house, but at least I will get a decent product.

Beware, these products are very cheaply made!

"My wife ordered a custom 120" roman shade for one of our new windows. We wanted a one piece room darkening shade across all three windows. The product arrived two weeks after our order, on time. It was well packaged and came by Fedex. The instructions didn't exactly match the parts shipped. (5 screws on the instructions for my size versus 4 screws and 4 mounting holes on my shade) But 4 screws was enough to hold the shade securely. It fit the opening perfectly, installed easily and look great. We are very pleased with the shade. My wife even got an extra $25 discount while she was on the phone placing the order with a very friendly sales rep. We will us blinds galore for our next custom window covering."

"I purchased roman shades through Blindsgalore and at every point I was very happy with the experience. The site is easy to use and find what you are looking for, the prices are a great value and there are measuring and install videos all over the site. I spoke with their customer service team to make sure I was getting the right samples and they were extremely helpful and not pushy at all. I got the samples very fast and placed my order on Sunday. The experience I've had has been really solid."

"Nice website - that's where the nice experience ends. Took 2 weeks to deliver, no instructions, no manual (update found the manual rolled in one of the blinds - upping the score) - just blinds, they had a different name on the packaging, the blinds are horribly made...

I'm following up with the manufacturer on the blinds quality... Upping the Blindsgalore.com rating...
