The worst products and customer service ever

"The do not send you the products you have ordered and the shipping took forever. When the products arrived, they are damaged and the customer service will ask you to send them pictures, but the emails kept on bouncing back after two or three days. Then they blocked your calls. I have paid $3500 for things I can't use and they do not take responsibility. They did not give me invoice or receipt. Please help if anyone knows how to resolve this issue."

Best Customer Service

"I recently ordered a pop-in blind to fit my bathroom window. I am not sure if I accidentally order the width wrong, but it came too wide. I called customer support and spoke to a truly wonderful representative named Rochelle. She told me not to worry and would send a new blind out to me A.S.A.P. and I was welcomed to donate the incorrect blind. What a pleasure to work with a company and representative, who really do care about making their customers happy. I can't say enough about how easy this company is to work with and will buy again and recommend to everyone I know. "

Made in mexico garbage.

"Shipping took forever....vinyl mini blinds look great but the mechanisms haven't worked right from the get go...blinds wont stay up half the time the other half they wont release and you have to pull them down. I wont ever purchase again."

Disaster

"I ordered verticals for my sliding door, the headrail was creased. I called Blindsgalore and they had me send a picture. Once they received the picture, they ordered a new insert for the headrail. Two weeks later, I received a new vane, not the headrail insert. I also ordered a mini blind, outside mount. I needed it to clear the window trim as in their picture example. Of course it didn't and I was told to go to Home Depot and get extensions. The mini blinds are being returned and the verticals if they can't get a headrail insert. They lost a customer!"

Go elsewhere, you'll save time and money

"I ordered 2 roman shades from Blindsgalore. They are both wrong. The woven woods shade has the cord pull on the front side of the valance (not behind like most), thus the cord was interfering with the shade when they fold and open. The cord is installed perfectly straight from top to bottom. The answer customer service gave me is that it is supposed to be this way. I spent $479 for one blind. I have a big window (59 x 59), but the woven wood material will wear out if I keep opening the shades. This was the first of 2 shades.

The second shade's fabric was old and yellowed and not like the white sample. I exchanged it and got shades without brackets to install. I called, they said it's supposed to be this way. In short, I spent over $800 for two shades that don't work. Don't buy your window treatment here. There are a ton of other places to screw up or not.

Disappointing Transaction

"I recently purchased three of Blindsgalore's best wood shutters. When they arrived, there weren't any directions in the box as desribed on the shipping papers. I looked for the installation guide on their website, but it didn't show the style of shutters that I purchased. I contacted customer service who told me that they would email the manufacturer for the correct guide and send it to me via email "right away". Two days later, I still hadn't received it. I called customer service again, who sent me a link to the same guide they have on their website (the incorrect guide). So, I decided to insatll the items without the guide. After installation, I noticed that the hinge screws were loose. When I tried to tighten them, I found that the wood was stripped due to being overtightened at the factory. I had to removed all the hinges and use a construction adhesive to get the hinges to hold tight (time will tell if this fix holds up). I sent an email to the Blindsgalore customer service center outlining my concerns, but they never responded. I will never use this company again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

Be Careful Ordering

"Blinds were ordered for outside measurements, came made for inside measurements...replacements came quickly after argument about how I was wrong...put up replacement roller shades, only to find chain operators were several inches different in lengths on each roller...very shoddy...had to shorten myself...and now had uneeded holes in my 6000.00 doors because the operator pulleys were different lengths and had to be moved...emailed blinds galore several times with issue and questions....they fo not respond to emails!!! D'Asia in customer service is great....rest of experience not so good...there are lots of other blind companies out there...check them out first...quality of blinds is decent.. but shoddy on the chains....looked terrible...had to alter myself...300.00 shades...been better off making my own..."

Excellent Customer Service

"The site itself gives you good instructions on how to measure, plus information every step of the way of 'building' your blind. I ordered 4 wood blinds and they all fit perfectly. One came with a tiny hole in one of the slats. I called them and was asked to send a picture, which I did. Less than 30 minutes later I had an e-mail stating a new set had been ordered.

I also ordered 2 sets of cellular shades. One was light filtering, one was black out. The manufacturer sent 2 light filtering. I called Blinds Galore and she got the manufacturer on the line immediately. They checked their side, and agreed. A replacement order was placed then and there and a call tag to have the wrong shade picked up by Fed Ex was sent to me.

Both of these errors were not made by Blinds Galore, but by the manufacturer. Both were take care of immediately. It took less than 2 weeks from initial order to receipt for both orders and the prices were far less than a big box store or even Bali through Costco. I have 2 extra large windows and the Blinds Galore Cellular shades were the only ones that I could order that wide.

I asked a lot of questions, both through the on-line chat and on the phone, plus ordered many samples as I was trying to decide on what treatment/color for each window (6 in all). This company has excellent customer service. I would order from them again.

inconsistent and poor customer servioce

"We purchased blinds and one year three months later one of the blinds has started to tear in two of the places. They requested pictures so we sent the pictures. Apparently they are willing to replaces the blind. At the time we asked if they would allow us to modify the blind. We were assured that this was permissable and that there would be a nominal charge for the change. But after sending the pictures we had no response. We called back. We will not mention how long we were kept on hold. Sigh. But now it appears they are only willing to replace the blind. Any modification would constitute a new order we were told.
Our advice. Choose another supplier. Blinds that last slightly more than one year are not worth the hassle. Customer service that does not respond and then when coerced to respond reverses what was you were previously told is simply not worth your money.

Can't seem to make them correct.

"I have two huge windows in my bedroom. BG was the only company that would make them that height I needed. It was 5 panels that were need to cover all the windows, they definitely weren't cheap. I had multiple conversations and emails about the type I wanted. I received the delivery pretty quick. They sat in my apartment till other work was done to install them. The installer finishes the job, I walk into the room and found out they sent the wrong blinds.. weeks on the phone again. finally they send us the correct blinds we ordered plus more money because they undercharged me the first they made them.
Had the installer return which I had to pay again. (All the visits already cost me $450) They ended up sending 1 of the 5 panels incorrectly. 4 of the pull cords work one way and they'res a random one that works the opposite. I got in touch with BG again... the transition between the installed wrong one to the install of the new ones took a couple months.. there out of warranty!!! and he asked if I wanted to purchase a new panel.
What is wrong with the company? Do you think they should just sent the correct panel at their cost?

No instructions for installation

"There were no installation instructions enclosed with our blinds. Online instructions for our type of blind did not make sense and did not match the brackets sent with our blinds. What should have been a simple installation became much more difficult and time consuming because there were no instructions. Very frustrating and no excuse for not providing any simple instructions. I am a contractor and understand how to install blinds, so i was able to figure it out. I guess they want to force their buyers to use a professional installer. Also, the purchase instructions tell you to give exact measurements and they will make the blinds a little smaller to fit on an inside installation. However, the blinds were exactly the same size as the inside, making the blinds bind on both sides. "

Great experience with Blinds Galore (BG)

"Live in central Florida where the sun is brutal. Our new house has 3 skylights in the roof that allowed heat and light to heat up the living room to the point where the AC rarely shut off during the afternoon.
Worked with a great, knowledgeable CSR, Robert E. they sent many samples of products before we selected the Bali double cell product. Robert walked me thru the selection process helping us at every step. Just great support.
The items shipped on time and arrived completely intact.
The first one took about an hour and 20 minutest to install, as the instructions were a little difficult to interpret and follow. The 2 remaining shades took about 20 minutes each. A little tricky but not too challenging.
The look great on the ceiling. They keep the sun's heat out while allowing a soft light to enter the room.
Accurate measurements are CRITICAL, as each shade is custom made to YOUR measurements.

Just a great overall experience. Love the product. Appreciate the good service.

Back for More

"I ordered a blind for our kitchen and it was exactly what I was looking for. The perfect color to complement our cabinets and it is very well made. I was a little nervous ordering online but called their customer service and they were great. I don’t remember her name but the lady I spoke to was great and sent me samples. The price was a little more than Target but this was made to order and not off the self. Hubby like it too and now it time to update the bedroom!!!"
