"I ordered Salvatore Ferragamo boots from bluefly today. Because we got confused about this brand sizes, we ordered the wrong size. I called their customer service within 40 minutes, and they would not cancel my order!!! How is that even possible! Usually every single store tries to help you, unless the item is already shipped. A girl in customer service says, 'not possible'. I am so frustrated I am gonna have a problem with refund.
I am gonna contact paypal now, and try to cancel an order thru them. If I will have a problem with refund from Bluefly, I will definitely open a dispute!"
"Horrible experience, do yourself a favor and don't buy anything from them, scam artists"
"If you're like me - you've found this site too late: after bluefly has screwed you over. I ordered boots that never showed up at my house and have spent 1.5 months trying to get a refund for that order which I never received. Three times representatives have promised me a refund and so far I'm still out of $86. I will never use their site again. BUYER BEWARE!"
"Sounds like a lot of people had a very bad experience with bluefly. I really wish I would have seen these reviews before ever buying from them. I ordered some gloves and total price was 250 with shipping. They supposedly sent it via DHL and they promptly lost it (the usual result with DHL). Anyways, six weeks later, after multiple emails, calls etc....no package arrived, no refund, no nothing. Essentially they took 250 bucks from me and I never saw anything. I always this was something called FRAUD!!! But hey maybe I'm old fashioned. I am still trying to get my money back. Somehow I am doubtful. Please please please stay away from these crooks!!!"
"I ordered a beautiful Vera Wang gown from Bluefly.com. I had given an accurate street address, state and zip code, but the city I entered was incorrect! I contacted UPS and notified Bluefly by email. A Bluefly representative sent a request to return the package to Bluefly and was going to issue a refund. But I wanted the item very much! I called Bluefly immediately, and asked that they contact UPS and revise the city. They did so, and made the change at UPS. I love the dress! It arrived on schedule. I am impressed by the service. Thank you Bluefly.com."
"I ordered 2 down coats and scheduled free standard delivery. It was shipped and tracked on time, but delivery is supposed to occur today and won't. I work long hours and won't be home to accept delivery from UPS, my apartment management office accepts packages but I'm scheduled as a residential property so they'll attempt delivery at night after the office closes, and UPS says Bluefly puts extreme restrictions on delivery so you can't make any changes to it! I called Bluefly to make them remove the restriction so I could pick it up at a UPS facility, but when I called UPS to confirm it happened like the rep said, I was told there is no way that could happen unless Bluefly changes their entire systemwide policy. It is set as standard practice to have restrictive deliveries in their UPS account.
How the hell am I supposed to get my stuff! Right now I just have to pray UPS delivers early enough for my complex to get it, or else I won't get my coats. NEVER ordering from them again."
"So I've read a lot of these return stories. I have one of my own. Bluefly's fine print:
2 weeks from the time they receive the item
PLUS
3-5 business days for the refund to post
Therefore, with shipping time, it could be up to a month to get a refund. The fine print says you pay shipping both ways, which was $15. So here's how my return broke down:
Mailed out on Nov 10th 2012.
Called and they received on the 15th.
Called them on the 23rd (day after Thanksgiving).
Got confirmation e-mail on the 27th
Returned to CC on 29th
13 business days (not including holiday) plus I paid shipping both ways. Is it great, no. Is it inline with their stated policy? YES! Am I ecstatic to buy from them again, no, but I'm not against it either. If you're getting a super great deal, you better believe they don't want it back. :)"
"Not worth even 1 star. Absolutely awful site. Terrible RETURN policy. Bluefly makes you wait forever for a refund, with a myriad of excuses. It wasn't until I threatened to file a dispute through PayPal that I got any action. Then it took another week to get my money (3 weeks start to finish which, based on other complaints, is apparently record time.)
BCBGMaxAzria Puffer jacket I purchased was ill-fitting, with sleeves so tight, not even a beanpole like me could move in it. I had to pay shipping BOTH WAYS, which added up to $17, down the drain. NEVER AGAIN."
"BEWARE: I was a loyal Bluefly customer, but the last 6 months has been a nightmare - I regret ever doing business with this website. It started when I placed an order last winter. I tracked the package, and it never arrived, despite saying "delivered" via UPS tracking (which I later found out was inaccurate - UPS actually delivered to USPS, who subsequently delivers to customer). I was at home, no deliveries were attempted that day - as confirmed by my local postman. I've never had a lost package, so chalked it up to a fluke. I let Bluefly know, and after "researching" this for a couple of weeks, they refunded the order.
In July of 2012 I purchased some items for my upcoming honeymoon (I also used a Bloomspot deal as part of this transaction). I was vigilant about the tracking after my previous experience. I work from home in an apartment that looks onto our street. The pacakage was reported "out for delivery". The tracking statement I received via email that afternoon said "Delivered", although I received nothing. I was irritated, & completely perplexed - Again my local postman, and the manager of the USPS branch had no knowledge of any package that day.
I spent at least 3 hours on the numerous phone calls to Bluefly over 20 days- customer service agents would put me on hold for up to 30 min, transfer me, drop the call, etc.. and I would have to explain the situation over & over again. I was told a number of times they were still "investigating the issue", and they would contact me - it never happened. The last person I talked to all but accused me of lying, and told me it wasn't their problem. Fortunately, the excellent agents at Bloomspot were able to intervene, and remedy this matter for me - I recommend Bloomspot, as they are always phenomenal.
I wouldn't have even dreamed of using Bluefly again after all of this, but had a $150 credit that would have gone to waste. I hesitantly ordered a pricey wallet, and immediately email Bluefly an urgent message asking them to not use standard shipping, but to send it priority with signature required - I offered to pay whatever extra fee was associated, and explained the past situation - wanting to avoid future issues for both of us. I got an auto-reply saying the had received the message, and would contact me promptly - I heard back 7 days later when the package had already shipped - I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, I watched for this package like a hawk, and ONCE again - it says delivered at 3:53 PM, when not a soul attempted to deliver anything to my home. I immediately went to the local post office -where I finally got some vital information from the postal manager - Bluefly had mailed this package to a 94123 zip code where it was delivered - I have lived in 94109 for the last eight years. I spent several hours that afternoon on the phone with Bluefly rep's, and a manager named Chris - he confirmed that there was no reason in my account that this package should have been mailed to an old address, and that he could launch a trace on the package that would take five days. Again, 10 days later they have not contacted me, and I had to start again at square one - it was as if they had no record of the 2 hr conversation I had with Chris, and other rep's the week before. Again, no one can manage to get anything done, and they again said I would hear from a supervisor - I got a rude call from someone today, November 1, named Glen that basically said they couldn't do anything because I had a lost package in the past - no mention the "Tracer" they were supposed to have placed on the package, trying to retrieve it from the address (not mine) that it went to, or the fact that this was their mistake....I don't think that Glen had even looked at the notes from multiple calls or emails from the previous week... It was quite frankly, shocking and maddening. Hours and hours of wasted time, and money!
It's now obvious to me that all three of these packages were delivered to the wrong address due to some glitch in their system - not one of their supervisors or rep's could ask the basic questions it would take to get to the bottom of this - instead they gave me the run around, wasted my time, and basically accused me of stealing. They should be ashamed of the way they run their business, and treat customers who are actually willing to spend a decent amount of money ( greater than $500 from me) on their site.
My suggestion: seriously reconsider doing business with Bluefly - the time & money I wasted shopping, ordering and dealing with the immense lack of customer service was disgusting and costly."
"The most horrible shopping experience I've had. They're a HUGE MESS, randomly cancel orders, send you the wrong items, never refund returns or respond to emails. Absolutely not worth the "savings". I wish I read the horrible reviews before getting trapped.
STAY AWAY"
"TERRIBLE ! These people are thieves. Their website works just fine, until you want to return something. Then it just crashes immediately and is impossible to operate. When you call to return over the phone they make you wait for hours. Then when you mail everything, they just keep the money anyway. I still have to get my money back. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. AVOID !"
"This website has big issue. I returned my item on 6/21 and received confirmation email from Bluefly on 7/2. But right now is 7/13 and my money is not refunded yet.
I highly doubt this is again PCI policy. I called customer service and wrote them emails but they said they would refund me the money but they didn't!! Don't go to this site!!"
"I should have read the horrific reviews about this company before I ordered from Bluefly. I ordered a pair of shoes that seemed to be below cost of what everyone else online was selling it for. I paid with Paypal and after a few days I received a UPS Tracking number. It was then sent through USPS. 5 days later USPS says address UNKNOWN & it is being returned to sender.
I called Bluefly and I explained that it was a confirmed Paypal address and how can it be an address unknown if I received hundreds of packages to that address without any problems. No explanation from them. She said we are sorry but it will take 10 days to process a refund.
It’s now June 18, 2012 without a refund and after multiple phone calls. Finally after speaking with the same lady with a horse voice (we spoke 3 times before) and threatening them to dispute she finally took action and refunded me.
I cannot believe efforts I had to do, to get a refund from this company. GO ELSWHERE!!! DISASTER!!

"My latest communication with BlueFly Customer Service:
This is not FAIR! I bought a Large shirt on Feb. 8, didn't get it for 12 days. The shirt is NOT a large, it's a Small size (even though it says L). I checked the box for free shipping and sent it back via UPS and its been another 9 days before you even acknowledged receiving it. Now, you're telling me that its going to take another 10 days to process my credit in-house? That's just not right. Once I get my credit and get the shirt I ordered nearly a month ago, I will NEVER buy from BlueFly again and will do free advertising for your company on-going UNLESS you make this right!"
"It has taken Bluefly over 1 month to process my returns, even though they say 10 business days."
