"I was hesitant, but Canon T1i was nearly $90 cheaper than other vendors. Ordered on a Sunday. Called them monday to confirm because I did not get an email confirmation. Was given moderate pitch for extra battery, declined twice and they let it go. Product shipped wednesday. Received on Friday. 100% as described. Would buy again."
"My experience with this company was bad. I placed my order on August 5th and my order was shipped on August 22nd. I was assured my order was shipped on August 11th and it was not. The product I purchased was finally shipped August 22nd after countless telephone call and emails. Don't waste your time, money or patience as this company obviously is out to scam people. What a shame a business thinks they need to operate this way. I would caution anyone dealing with this company. Pay a couple extra bucks and go with a reputable company. This one won't be in business very long conducting business this was."
"I was a bit hesitant to buy from IBuyDigital after reading the latest reviews but their price for Panasonic Lumix ZS3 was $50 less than in other places and they picked up the phone quickly when I called to check if it was in stock, so I ordered.
I did get an e-mail asking to call back to verify the order and they did ask me to buy me some accessories when I called, but there were no sell pressure of any kind.
I got an e-mail with my UPS tracking number and got my camera on time, brand new and sealed.
The warranty card included did not look like Panasonic and required registration within 30 days, so they may be providing their own warranty, but the camera works great and those things rarely break, so no worries here."
"BAIT AND SWITCH! tried to buy an a/v receiver. got a call the next day to confirm that i knew they accept no returns and that pioneer won't even honor a warrantee on any product sold by this company. This company can ship you a box of scrap metal, charge you $1000 and there is nothing you can do about it. they do offer to sell for an additional $100 a 3rd party warrantee that covers "everything". We all know how well the 3rd party warrantees work. Shady outfit. They did supposedly cancel my order without much fuss, though, must get that alot when people feel like they are about to get robbed."
"Short and simple: DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!
I was forced to put in an invoice number even though I canceled my order. I placed on order online 7/23 after looking over the 4.5 star rating out of 5 thinking they must be a pretty good company to get that kind of rating. They also appeared to have the best price. I wish I would have read some reviews first. After I placed my order I got a call from them trying to sell me some extended warranty and some other stuff. I told them no thanks. I thought that was kind of odd so I decided to start doing some research and found out the company was not to be trusted. I called the very next day 7/24 and canceled my order. They couldn't give me a confirmation number of course nor an e-mail but, said everything was fine. I took their word for it and figured everything was good. On 8/6 they charged my card and sent me a very cryptic e-mail stating my order had shipped but, it had no information about a tracking number and besides I had canceled the order. I called my bank the next day and put in a complaint. I also put in complaints in NY and NJ with the attorney generals office as I think this is fraudulent activity. I did get in touch with them on the phone on 8/7 and they told me it was a mistake and that they would take care of it and reverse the charges. They also told me that they had already shipped the product out and that I would have to refuse the package. When I asked for a tracking number they gave me a number of one of the millions of generic UPS labels that you can pick up in any one of the public UPS locations. When I called UPS they said there was no billing or shipping information for that number. It is now 8/13 and they have not refunded my money and UPS still shows that tracking number as being invalid.
Bottom line is these guys have figured out how to game the system and make it look like they still have good ratings because for every one of these bad reviews they go out and create five more positive ones with IDs the company themselves made up. I would be willing to bet that if the truth were revealed about their rating they would be lucky to have a 1 out of 5."
"I purchased a Nikon D90 dslr kit on Ebay for 1299.99. They called next day, offered "upgraded kit" and extended warranty for another $380.00. The Nikon D90 was advertised as "new/ never opened" in the Ebay listing. I paid $50 for two day shipping, this was a birthday present. I recevied an opened gray market Nikon D90 with a photocopied manual. I called their customer service line repeatedly nevery got through, endless hold. Finally called the billing department and demaned service. The woman I spoke with, Tammy, said it was a big mistake. They never meant to send me the gray market item. She promised to send me a "brand new, never opened, sealed in the box Nikon D90", with expedited free shipping. I paid for return shipping for the gray market item. Then they sent me another opened gray market Nikon D90. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe I fell for it twice either.
These people are bad mojo and I had to open a paypal claim to get my money back. My pennance for this moment of insanity is to write a review about this, everywhere. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I also reported them to the BBB, local internet fraud authorities and the I3C."
"I ordered a Canon SX10 from ibuydigital because it was $30 cheaper than Amazon and $65 cheaper than Best Buy, where I had tried out the camera in person.
I ordered the camera on Tuesday, July 28, got an email to call to "confirm" so I did. Got a "soft" sell to buy accessories and an extended warranty, which I declined. THEN later I read the reviews, got really scared and tried to call the next day to cancel my order but remarkably it had already shipped. The representative gave me a UPS tracking number and later the same day I got an email confirming with the tracking number.
I received the camera today, Friday, so 4 days after ordering, and that's with free shipping.
Now, the camera. I had read of "gray market" cameras being sold as having US warranties, had also read of cameras being sold as new and unopened but arriving clearly opened, etc.
I encountered none of that. The camera box itself could have been opened-it wasn't sealed with tape or anything, but the camera was wrapped in foam and all the instruction manuals were in sealed plastic, the accessories were all included and also sealed.
Most importantly right on top was the Canon USA/Canada warranty card with part number on it, which I compared to that on the body of the camera and they matched.
I was still skeptical due to the negative reviews, so I called Canon. The representative confirmed that I had all I needed to have if there should be a problem and the camera needs repaired (within 1 year-the length of the warranty).
I don't know what to say except that everything seems to be in order. I have tried out the camera and it seems perfect, works just like the demo at Best Buy but cost a lot less.
I know this merchant has been accused of some pretty shady practices. I believe the people that wrote those reviews and I was really scared. As for me all I can say is so far it seems that everything was exactly in order and it was a smooth transaction."
"I don't know what all the negative ratings are all about. I ordered a Logitech Harmony ONE remote from them, and 3 days later, it was delivered. The price was the cheapest that I could find online $179.00
I do have to admit that I immediately called after finding the price (Google Shopping search), having read all of the reviews I wanted to make sure that the item was in stock. However, no one answered the phone. I thought about it for a minute, then decided to order online at their site anyway, because NONE of the complaints were about this being a scam company (taking money and running), so I figured if wait a little bit, its fine as long as it eventually arrived. Like I stated above, it was delivered in 3 days after online order.

"If you enjoy gambling then by all means order from these guys. From what I've read, as well as from my own experience with them, for every 10 orders that go well there are 3 or 4 that go horribly wrong. Just over a week ago I ordered a digital camera that was indicated to be in stock. Within the first 48 hours of ordering I recieved an e-mail saying my order had been processed in their system, so I was thinking great, it should ship very soon then. The reason I thought this is for one, I've never had an internet order that took longer than a day or two to ship, and for two it says on their site that "All orders are processed, billed, and shipped within 72 business hours from when the order is placed provided the merchandise ordered is available and in stock." A week passed with no notification so I gave them a call. I was on hold for about six minutes, which isn't too bad so I won't bash them for it, and then I spoke to a woman who told me she was sorry but my order hadn't shipped yet. She assured me they had upgraded the shipping and I should recieve it by the end of the week. Well, a few more days passed and I started scouring the internet for more reviews on ibuyDigital. I kept finding more and more dissatisfied customers. It was common for someone to place and order for an in stock item and not recieve it until a month later. After coming to the conclusion that I would not see the camera I had ordered for another 3 weeks, I promptly called them. After several minutes I spoke to someone and told them to cancel my order, but they informed me only an authorized employee could do this. I waited a few minutes then spoke to another guy, indicating I wanted to cancel my order, but was again told I would need to be transfered to someone authorized to do so. A few more minutes pass, and then I speak to yet another employee, who I could've sworn I had already talked to, and tell what I'm trying to do. He begins to tell me he has to find someone authorized to cancel an order, so I interject in a semi-annoyed tone and tell him I've been transfered twice already for the same reason. He quickly tells me he'll get the authorization to do it himself and less than a minute later, voila! I'm very happy I chose to cancel my order, because soon after I found the same camera on eBay for 5 bucks less and sold by a reputable store. Within the first 12 hours of ordering the camera on eBay, the package had been shipped and the tracking numbers sent to my e-mail. What a refreshing change of pace from ibuyDigital's run around BS-fest. If you're as foolish as me and decide to order from ibuyDigital, I would recommend canceling your order if you haven't recieved a shipping notification within the first week. After reading about the throngs of other people who waited around for these jokers to get their item(s) to them, you're taking a serious risk by paying a few bucks less and ordering from this place. Please shop around more and save yourself the headache and frustration. "
"I purchased Canon 50D from ibuydigital.com. According to their website, the unit is brand new and have factory warranty. The price was reasonable and shipping was fast. But what I received was a brand new unit with a store warranty card. The customer rep told me ibuydigital is not an authorized Canon dealer and Canon just wouldn't honor the factory warranty. It is a simple misrepresentation. I will have no problem with them if they simply put on the website that the unit does not come with factory warranty, but they will offer 1 year store warranty. But they just should not lie to customers."
"WARNING. FRAUDE. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I just tried buying a digital camera, and after having to call to confirm (where I was on hold for about 30mins). They said it was all ready to go when I get a random email the next day saying that my order was cancelled. I called back again (on hold for another 30mins) and they said they needed a copy of the credit card and a copy of a photo idea. WARNING. FRAUD"
"Looking for a Canon SX1IS camera, found the cheapest at IBUY. Placed the order on a Friday, received an email to "confirm order" Monday morning. I called up and was hit with a BIG
upsell presentation. I had ordered the camera without a memory card thinking I would use an old one. He told me it was a different size than the one I had,so I let him sell me on an 8 gig card. I asked him if it was a good price ,he said yes. It was an ok price. He tried to sell me on an extended warranty, telling me he would upgrade shipping so I would have it by July 4th. I didn't need it for that so I passed. Camera showed up as it was suppose to Monday. However the price was about 23 dollars higher than I was quoted. I called and was too late as their customer service closes 5pm est. I then looked around at some ratings sites and realized it may be hit or miss for saving the money I did. I was expecting the worse when I called today. However Regina was very professional and took care of things right away with no mess. She was a pleasure to deal with. I wanted a credit, a Return Number or I said I would pay 10 dollars more and get an accessory kit that included the card I got as well as some other items. She said she would send
me the accessory kit without any charge. Wow! A much nicer reslolution than I thought. I will probably look at them for future purchases, knowing the upsell will come. But that they do the right thing when needed.
Jeff
3 days after I ws told I would receive the items I ws promised they arrived. Do not do business with this Company if you can not deal with the upsell. Or at least don't cry about it after getting some of the lowest prices ever. This is the ifrst time I have ever wrote an online review. As I initially said I was expecting the worse when I read some of the reviews. But it turned out otherwise. I was not solicited to write this review. I am thinking perhaps they feel that a more straight ahead business model versus a New York electronic row type of business model is better. A few years ago who knows. All I know is I am satisfied and will buy from them again if the price is the cheapest."
"Absolute crooks! You must be absolutely ignorant to have a good experience with these people. The only way they will sell to you is if you buy extra over priced items. I declined all extras then the problems started and long story short they eventually could not process my order. Now I have to wait 3 days for them to credit my card back and I can buy from somewhere else.
Come on people! They have to make a profit somehow. So they lure you in with cheap prices but will complete a sale only if they can make up for it with the extras."
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM!!
I bought the canon 5d mark ii from them, called them about the order and they told me it's the non-us camera! there was nothing about that in their website. so i told him to charge me another 100 so i can get the us factory warranty camera. which ended up being 2699 which is not any cheaper than anywhere else.
I got the camera and it did not have any warranty with it. It was even in the kit box, which was obvious that they have opened it and took the lens and the warranty 0ut!
So i called them and they said they automatically fill in the warranty for me, and they can't send it to me!
i called again and said i want to return it, and the lady said she send me a warranty herself.. i googled and saw people had the same situation and got the warranty for some random NY repair shop. Finally I decided not to take that and return the whole thing.but they are refunding me 2300 instead of 2700!! they lied and stole my money!!"
"I ordered a Canon SD780IS point-and-shoot digital camera online. I was emailed to call a number to confirm my order. The operator was brief and courteous. He asked if I needed any accessories for the camera but no pressure. That was it. I got the camera by free UPS ground. I'm 100% satisfied - lowest price; great new, latest technology item; timely shipping."
