"I am surprised not more people have written reviews about this great establishment?!?! I placed my order online on March 5th and received it on the 9th with a free shipping uprgade when I bought an accessory package. At first I wasnt sure if I wanted them or not but now after using them for a week I understand what my salesman was referring to when he explained to me why I needed the filter set . Otherwise my Sony pc-120 is very easy to use and I will definately be back to CentralDigital for other purchases in the future."
"Had a good experience. Would use them again. Their web site was easy to use the the prices competitive."
"I bought my sealed, factory-new, US-warrantied JVC camcorder at over $100 below retail, including shipping! The order arrived in less than a week (including the weekend and my midnight ordering time - three business days). There was a phone callback for order verification and an ever-so-slight soft sell in case I needed accessories (why not?). I didn't - no big deal, absolutely no pressure.
Have to play with the camera now. Any problems, I follow up this post. Otherwise, we're good!"
"wonderful to do business with, many praises to linda, wesome deal!"
"This store was not my first choice, but since another vendor increased their price over the weekend, I chose to try this vendor.
I placed an order for a JVC HR-DVS3U on a Monday. CC was debited on Tuesday. Sent them an e-mail on Tuesday and they responded stating unit would ship out Wednesday. Unit finally shipped on Friday and I received it on the following Monday, via FedEx. Package was in pristine condition and when I opened it, was relieved to find the unit untouched, factory fresh. It even has a USA warranty card and no missing UPC codes. Unit works great and is a bargain at the price this vendor sold it at. I would have paid $200 more at a trusted competitor I've used in the past.
I will probably buy my next video item from this vendor.
If time is not critical, ibuydigital will save you money.

"This has been one of the best transactions I've had in trying to purchase a camera online. I didn't receive any high-pressure sale calls or have to call a verification number to have deal deal with same, I just ordered online at a great price and received exactly what I ordered in retail packaging. Now I want to call them to buy some accessories."
"I ordered the canon powershot s200 on Feb 4th and received it overnight deliovery on the 5th, needless to say I am very pleased with cameraclub and would order from them in the future."
"Paid $1829 plus $69.90 for Fed-Ex 2nd day for Nikon D100. Although they called back and left a message to confirm my order, when I called them back the order had already shipped. Actually, I ordered late Saturday night and it shipped on a Tuesday. There was a bad snowstorm so that could be the reason for the delay to ship. The item arrived and everything was included as expected. It was obviously a US version camera, so I'm satisfied!"
"10-JAN-03: Used SHOPAMEX/AMEX card to locate this vendor, I placed my $391.39 online order for a digital camera; was immediately charged by cameraclub. After checking Resellerratings.com, I discovered camerclub's very poor ratings (4.25 life), with numerous billing scams, incomplete & poor products, etc.
17-JAN-03: After sending several emails & wasting hours on their customer service/sales phone lines, I rec'd no response from vendor and canceled my order via SHOPAMEX; prior to shipment of product (thank God). Was told my account would be credited the full amount.
08-FEB-2003: No credit has been given to date and I am starting an investigation thru AMEX, but cameraclub continues to make interest off my money (I will update this later). I am tryin to block payment thru AMEX."
"Ordered a Canon Elura 40MC mini-DV camcorder, they shipped out in about 4days. Everything was ok. The sales representative is not professional, communications are bad. However, if you want to get sth for a low price, that seems fine as long as you get what you paid for. Would recommend to buy from them. They should seriously work on their customer service."
"Buyer beware!!!!!!
Find another place to make your purchase.
Company is defaulting with creditors and may dissappear soon.
DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE!"
"Purchased a Canon S40 here because of cheap prices and decent reviews here and elsewhere. Camera came fairly quickly (around 5 days...pretty average). Had to do the usual "call us to confirm your order" at which point they try to tell you that the battery is only good for 25 pictures, at which point I said "oh, good, that's what I thought" ;). That pretty much ended the attempt at an upsell. Otherwise, camera was and is in great shape. I am satisfied with my purchase. "
"I posted my experience at eopinions as well. I just like to share my experience with as much Internet viewers as possible.
Reading the reviews always makes me wonder how they can apply to my own online purchase experience. Finally, I have a reference point. My conclusion for short is that I don't recommend ibuydigital.com. No matter how low their price is, I will not do any business with them.
I placed an order at ibuydigital.com for a Cannon Powershot G3 late night Friday, Jan. 3. Several reasons why I order the camera at this online store, the key one is that the ratings of ibuydigital.com on several websites are high. It also claims that order will be shipped within 48-72 hours.
Next day, Jan. 4, I received an email confirmation and an order number. I replied to the email that if the order could not be shipped on Monday, Jan. 6, consider the order cancelled. I received another email on Sunday, Jan. 5, saying that the "To ensure a Monday delivery please call our internet verification dept at 1-***-***-**** ext 558".
On Monday I phoned twice, the first time, at the extension 558, I was put on hold for about 30 minutes. Finally, I called the number again, selected the sales and information option, got immediate answering and then I stated my intention for confirming the order and also reiterated that if the order could not shipped by the end of the day, I liked to cancel it. Guess what, the sales person who answered the call said "Are you threatening me?" What a blow! Does he really try to serve the customers or does he try to play hard to sell? I replied politely, "No, I just would like to make certainly that you could ship it today, otherwise, I'd like to cancel the order." He replied "I cancel it right now". I said "Fine" and hung up the phone, thought that was the end of the story. Given those horrible stories of never-ending disputes for the abusive credit card charges by the online stores, I was a bit of concerned and logged into ibugdigital.com website on Tuesday to see if my order was really cancelled. My order disappeared from the website. A note: ibuydigital.com does offer email address-based order tracking at their website. I also checked account activities at my credit card company. Indeed, there was no charge from them. However, my comfort only extend to that one day. This morning, Wed, Jan. 8, I checked my credit card transaction agian, guess what, there was a charge of $692.90, dated Jan. 5, from ibuydigital.com for the "CANCELLED " order. Out of my expectation, I also received a package from FedEx from ibuydigital for this "CANCELLED" order.
If this salesperson had not cancelled my order, I probably would be a happy customer now. But I am not, After the cancellation by ibuydigital's salesperson, I went on order a G3 at another website, $25 cheaper, much more polite sales persons. So now I am in the process of disputing this charge with ibuydigital. I will keep you posted what happened to this disputed charge on my credit card as well.
I do hope they are honorable enough to issue credit back to me and willing to take their unopen package back, fingers crossed.
Update 1:
I called back on Jan. 10th, about this "CANCELLED" order. Of course, no one at ibuydigital has any records about my order being cancelled. As I explain the events that my order was cancelled, their customer support lady became impatient and shouted back, you just need to refuse the order when delivered and that's the end of the call.
I call the other store, where I placed another order at a more competitive price, to cancel the order. That store is US1 Camera. Their sales were so polite and said no problem. Within half an hour, I received an email to confirm the cancellation.
A separate note, ibuydigital lowered their price between the time I placed the order and I called back. No one at ibuydigital even mentioned this price difference. Whatever the price you place order is what you have to pay for, not what the price they sale the item. You can see and smell their business practices from my experience for sure.
What can I say about ibuydigital. Avoid it unless you are willing to put up with their business practices that lacks of customer focus completely."
"These guys are ok. The customer service is god awful though and the salesman are salesdrones. Bought a Canon G3, it's nifty. I assume they would be ok as long as you don't have to speak with them."
"I think these are same guys as dbuys.com. But prices here are a bit cheaper compared to dbuys.com. Not the "cheapest" around, but after seeing their ratings here, decided to go for a Minolta Dimage 7i. Called in to avoid the usual "confirm" email. Salesman tried to push CF card and AC adapter, not too pushy. After the usual "no, thanks", the order was good to go.
Received a phone message after 3 hrs regarding some probs with my credit card. Thought this was a new ploy to push more worthless overpriced accessories. But the credit card was actually declined by the issuer (too much holiday shopping :). After I cleared that up, it was smooth sailing.
They were supposed to send an email with tracking #. Never got one. Called after 2 days and she gave me the tracking #. Camera arrived next day.
New in the box, with all accessories, US model with warranty. I'm a happy camper...:)"
