"Constellation is untrustworthy and deceptive. They attempt to lock in a contract at old rates when natural gas prices are lower. Customers have to specifically ask to get the true market rate per therm. Constellation moves billing due dates to cause issues with automated billing. Billing cycles are too complicated. Little attempt is made to contact customers of to verify notification of end of contract. Communication barely meets legal standards and in a confusing way. The website is constantly down and has many dead links. It's difficult to receive offers in writing leaving the customer no evidence of verbal agreements. No estimate of change in cost is given with the variable rate plan takes effect. You charge what you want.Constellation price gouges on the variable rate plan. I was charged over double of the market rate of price per therm. Instead of rolling over the contract (which was still substantially above market rate) when they failed to communicate the end of contract, Constellation chose to price gouge us. Though the customer service agent was top notch, the methods she was able to offer to correct the situation fell way short of what was needed for me to feel comfortable remaining a customer. In short, you cheated my family.Constellation should reexamine their ethics as a steward of a natural resource that's necessary for modern living. Your current methods are shameful. I will communicate my experience on social media outlets, with my local media, and with my community groups. Please change your ways."

"The representative was fine. THe call was needed to resolve a threatening and misleading letter from BG&E demanding a $150 payment which was not owed. The company let me down not the service rep."

"Horrid! I have been a customer for 8 years and recently fell on hard times due to loose of my job. I spoke to a supervisor on my account and asked if an extension or something could be had as my account was about to be disconnected and I did not have the money to pay for it. I have never not once in 8 years had this issues. This was the first time ever, and she simply said no. We can’t do it your service are due to disconnect any day. I have a 22 month old and a 5 month old we are still in winter and I need heat for them. She did not care. No empathy nothing. I told her she didn’t care and had no emotion, she just continued to repeat the policy. Sad.. we are people and all have had rough patches in our lives. Her lack of empathy really made me evaluate what gas company I am dealing with."
