"Before I share my experience, here's WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY. According to the New York Better Business Bureau (www.bbbnewyork.org), this company operates under 3 different names (www.dbuys.com, www.ibuydigital.com, and www.centraldigital.com); and "Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record." I wish I had this information before ordering from them.
Here's a log of my experience:
12/02/04 – Order placed on their website for digital camera. Listed as “In Stock: Usually Ships in 1 to 2 business days.”
12/03/04 – Called their 800 Number (1-***-***-****) to confirm order, no answer from Sales nor Customer Service departments.
12/04/04 – Called their 800 Number many times (at that time, their website said that they’re open on Saturdays), but unable to reach anyone. Sent an email to their Customer Service mentioning that I needed the item soon for an upcoming vacation trip.
12/06/04 – No response from vendor via phone nor email. Called and spoke with someone (he said his name was “Joe”) in Customer Service who said that the shipment would be sent out today. Told him that I needed the item soon for an upcoming trip.
12/08/04 – No item and no status. Sent another email to Customer Service. Called and spoke with someone (he said his name was “Peter”) in Customer Service who said that the item had just arrived and would be sent out today.
12/09/04 – No item and no status. Spoke with someone (she said her name was “Terry”) in Customer Service who apologized for the delay and said that the item would be sent out today.
12/10/04 – No item and no status. Called their 800 Number, no answer from Sales nor Customer Service departments.
12/13/04 – Spoke with someone (sounded like “Terry”) in Customer Service who said that the item had shipped out today via Fedex Overnight. She said would receive tomorrow, and that I would receive an email with tracking information tonight.
12/14/04 – Spoke with female in Customer Service (very rude) who said that item had shipped out today. I told her that I was told the same thing yesterday, and wanted to cancel order. She said I couldn’t because the item had already shipped.
12/15/04 – Bought camera locally for my trip.
01/02/05 – Came back from trip to find delivered camera. Decided against hassle of returning camera to this vendor, so returned my other camera to local store.
Their low advertised prices are not worth the hassle and time wasted.

Checked out their 8-something rating on RESELLERRATINGS, crossed my fingers and made my online order. The next day I got an email stating that there was a problem with credit card; that my zip code somehow didn't match. From previous experience I knew that this was usually nothing more than a ploy to upsell me. It was indeed but when I opted out of the extended warranty (five years at $199 was nearly $300 less than those crooks at Broadway Photo) there was no pressure and the camera shipped the next day. Three days later I have my camera and all is as represented. I haven't dealt with their customer service yet and that will tell the whole tale. I hope it won't be necessary, but as of now count me "Very Satisfied"."
"I purchased a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 from dbuys.com after reading somewhat favorable reviews from this website. I purchased the camera from dbuys.com because their price was $100-$130 cheaper than most other retailers anywhere, and being a college student, I was shopping on a budget. Anyway, I read more reviews after I placed the order, and I became a bit more wary about my purchase.
However, I'll be 100% honest and say that there was no delay, no horesplay, not even a confirmation phone call (just an order confirmation e-mail, and a shipment notice e-mail a day later), just a camera that showed up a day earlier than they quoted me to arrive.
Overall, I'm very pleased, and I would most likely buy from dbuys.com again, provided they keep up the excellent service that was modeled to me. I hope this is helpful!"
"Ordered a digital camera Monday night, selected three-day fedex shipping. Did not receive any follow-up calls, the camera shipped on Tuesday but the website was only updated the following day with this information and the tracking number.
Received the camera Thursday (from NY to CA). Fedex seems to have been eager to clear their slate fast so they didn't keep it an extra day in the depot.

"It is refreshing to know that there truly are some great deals out there on the internet. I think buy now most people are very sceptical about these internet stores that offer "LOW" prices, and turn out to be nothing but out and out scams.
I am a very picky shopper-I always do my homework before I make a purchase of items like electronics ect. After searching the net for quality goods at a "GOOD" price and seeing so many unbelieveable low prices that turn out to be PHONY, it really makes you think that your better off paying the retail price at legitimate neighborhood stores. I recently purchased a Casio digital camera from DBUYS, and I must say that it went very smoothly through the whole process.
Their online store is easy to navigate and they have a large selection of products.
After finding the camera that I wanted (EX-P600)
I thought that the price was to good to be true because it was WAY less than retail stores. I decided to take a chance on this one because of the rating-despite a few bad reviews.
I placed my order late thursday night and by the next morning I recieved an order confimation email.
On saturday I recieved the FED EX tracking info saying that the order shipped at 2PM friday and that they upgraded the shipping to 3day express at no extra charge. I recieved the camera on Tuesday morning and was pleased to see that the box was well packed, and in perfect factory retail packaging.
This store did not require a phone confirmation
like some of the scams- nor did they call me to try and sell more products at outrageous prices. I placed my order- It was shipped- and arrived in just 3 days.
If the majority of stores on the net were like DBUYS the world would be a better place. I will definately shop there again. HIGHLY RECOMENDED FROM A SATTISFIED CUSTOMER!!!"
