"I did a bunch of research on vendors that carried a Yamaha RX-V1500 receiver. I went with Dbuys because of the rating and price. I considered other sites too. Had some hesitation because of the bad reviews at dbuys, but there were also a number of stellar reviews. I decided to go for it. Dbuys had an overall 8.88 lifetime but a 5.45 6-month. What the heck, they all can’t be newegg.
Though there was a error on the e-mail entry that probably caused 95% of the apprehension (didn’t get notification of ship, fed-ex tracking, etc.), this order went extremely well. I would definitely buy here again, though I would verify that the information I provide is correct so there is no confusion (if I ordered through the website or talked with a rep).
The price was excellent, my rep was great, and dbuys is going on my “keep” list."

I did a ton of research and found dbuys to have a good reputation but still there were enough poor reviews to keep me skeptical. I purchased the camcorder on line and just as expected was contacted the next day by a salesman. He was not overly friendly but courteous, (probably gushy for A New Yorker). "I have had a good experience with DBuys. I ordered a Nikon Coolpix 5700 from them after seeing the low price advertised on dpreview. Everything arrived today as expected and ordered.
I placed the order over the telephone. The sales agent confirmed the price, the camera was in stock, and then obtained my credit information. After taking this information, he referred me to the accessory packages and asked if I were interested, to which I told him, no. He then told me about extended warranties, which I also declined. He was never pushy. After supplying my e-mail address in order to get confirmation of shipment, the conversation ended.
The next day, I received confirmation from Fedex that the item had shipped. Today, it was delivered, less than a week after the order. I am very pleased.
The only glitch I have seen is that the order tracking on the web site has not had my tracking information, must be only for orders placed online. Just a minor detail and if I had any questions, I would have called.
I have been skeptical of low price online sellers. I have played the bait and switch game before when I refused the accessories and warranties. Suddenly the item that had been in stock was no longer in stock and had to be ordered from overseas, unless I wanted to purchase the more expensive US version!!!
Not so with DBuys. I will definitely consider future purchases from them."

"I ordered a Minolta Z2 digital Camera on Monday July 26th, paid for 3 day shipping $24.90 only to find that it didn't leave Dbuys Brooklyn shop until Thursday the 29. Don't get me wrong I still consider it a great price for the camera BUT if I'm going to pay extra for faster shipping I expect you to get off your duffs and send me the merchandise. I just got sgipping confirmation on Thursday evening that says to expect the package on Tuesday. Hmmmm lets see, Monday the 26 to Tuesday Aug 3rd = 8 days in my book. "This is from a totally unhappy customer.
I had ordered a Nikon 3700 from DBuys on May 11 and was told the camera was in stock and I even paid for 2 days deliver so it will arrive on Friday May 14 in time for a present for my daughter's graduation. I also explicitly told the sales person I *WILL* cancell the order if delivery did not happen by Friday evening.
Friday evening came and went by and no delivery, no email apology, no sales person called. Zip.
I called back on the following Monday to explicitly cancel and even spoke my displeasure with a female customer support supervisor and even followed up with a email to cancel.
3 weeks later I received a email from Fed. X advising me of a camera shipment from DBuys!
This is the LAST time I will ever deal with such dishonest companies.

"Order a Sony camcorder on May 4, 04. dbuys customer service called May 5. Stated shipping would take 3 weeks. BUT if I took their survey they would ship ASAP. I don't participate in online or phone surveys. I consider this a THREAT and unethical business practices. Told dbuys representative to cancel order. He said that would not be necessary as he would ship this week. Their web site states all orders shipped in 48-72 hours. I waited over 72 hours with no tracking number. I emailed and faxed order CANCELATION. I WILL NOT ORDER FROM dbuys.com again."
