"Before placing an order with ebags I called customer service to make sure they had the item I wanted in stock. I was assured that it was, and was given an estimated arrival date of arrival which was 7 days later. A little bit long, but acceptable.

However, when the item arrived, they shipped me the wrong color and when I called to inquire about it they were not very helpful until I demanded to speak to a manager.

At first they said they would send me what I had originally ordered, but then later I received another call back from them stating they no longer carried the item I ordered.

They were not able to arrive to an acceptable resoultion, so now I have to deal with their return process.

If they did not have what I ordered, they should NEVER have verbally confirmed that they had it, and they should NEVER have substituted the item for a different color.

I will NEVER be purchasing from ebags again.

"Order arrived according to promised date, but in my opinion that was too long. Time from order to delivery was 10 days, much of that time was spent processing the order. In the realm of todays internet shopping that is a long time. Also you are teased with $25 off coupon towards your next purchase, but its a joke since it is basically worthless for most of the product they sell. I was not thrilled about the slow order processing but when I found out the coupon was a dud I've elected to do my shopping elsewhere.

I'm updating this review. I ordered from Amazon a slightly larger piece of luggage to match above purchase. As a comparison it took a total of 7 days, not bad considering I ordered it before a long weekend. Order processing was much quicker than ebags.com. Price? Same! Shipping free. Same!

"Returns is a joke! You return an item to get an exchange and then you get a credit to your account but in the mean time, the price went up and you pay the shipping. Slow processing time. Won't be buying from ebags anytime soon if ever. "

"I got a delivery estimate for 5 days after my order, and still, 11 days after my order I have not received any product, nor has the 'order status' changed in the order tracking part of the website.

I found the customer service ok, but it is the communication between customer service and the warehouse employees which seems to be the problem. The customer service lady assured me she has contacted the warehouse staff multiple times, but they never contacted her back. I have a feeling the bag I ordered, although indicated as in stock, actually isn't, which doubles the incompetence of the warehouse staff as they obviously have no idea of stock control.

To put it lightly, I am annoyed, I'm calling tomorrow morning to cancel my order, as I was intending the use the bag I ordered almost 2 weeks ago on a flight I'm taking in 2 days. Not impressed at all.

"I ordered a bag from this store and the wrong item arrived a week or so later. I called CS and was assured that they'd pay for shipping and that they'd send the correct item once they receive the returned bag at the warehouse (strange policy!!! It was their fault, after all). With the gift certificate CS issued I "purchased" the bag I wanted again. It was shipped immediately and arrived in relatively short time. "It" however turned out to be yet again the same wrong bag! As it turns out, they never had the bag I ordered in stock and so were just sending me a substitute. The logic behind this is very frustrating to me. After all this it has taken two full months for me to finally get my money refunded to my credit card but I am still without a new bag! I will never ever do business with them again even though the third CS rep I spoke to ended up being very helpful and nice. What a waste of my time this company has been!!"

"Ordered this product and paid for 2nd day air to get here before Christmas. I received my tracking number and it went ground and from the looks of it, it won't arrive until after Christmas. I called customer service and all they could do was refund my 2nd day air and apologize. I felt that is very incompetent of them not to double check shipping especially it being around the holidays to make sure people get their order in time. I will never do business with them again and I suggest whoever reads this review to do the same."

"I placed an order for four items with a discount code. eBags tried to overcharge for these items separately (luckily I had set a limit with a Virtual Account Number). eBags then removed one of the items stating that is out of stock and removed the discount code as well. When a request (sent three times) was made for a replacement item, no replies were made. Simply the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I will be disputing the charge through the credit card company but eBags was such a turn off in the way they handle correspondence, I would never deal with them in the future."

"Horrible customer service and order experience. They took my order for an item they showed in stock. When it hadn't shipped per their online order status, I online chatted with Kenneth. He assured me I would have the item as originally scheduled and the online order status was lagged. Today ( 6 days later) I received and email that the item was not in stock and the order was cancelled. It is now too late to order elsewhere before my trip.
BEWARE that their stock status means nothing !
Lorenza wants to give me 25 % off my next order and free shipping for the trouble. I think I'll save the aggravation and order elsewhere.

"Originally ordered a 14.1" laptop so I bought a small Roadwired Skooba Sleeve from ebags.com, however instead I bought a 15.4" and it would not fit in the smaller sleeve. I got a return slip from ebags, sent the sleeve in, and was promptly emailed a gift certificate of the cost. I replaced the skooba with a 15.4" sumdex impact guard sleeve and received it in about 4 days with free shipping. I must say ebags.com handled everything smoothly and I am very satisfied with my new sleeve. Will definitely shop again!"

"I bought a Macroloader last night online, and found the price had dropped after I bought it by $4.50. I submitted a price challenge, and was told it couldn't be honored even though it was from eBags themselves. They have a supposed "110% 'PLUS' Price Guarantee" that says "Part of providing good value is making sure you get the best available price." Don't believe it!

UPDATE: After too much hassle, I finally got the price match, and the bag is great for my new Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop.

They met the best price I could find online plus 10% of the difference. Shipping was free and fast, and the case arrived in perfect condition.
