"I placed an order 9/6/2010. After not receiving it by 9/21, I inquired about it and they responded saying there was an error and the item was not in stock, but they should get it in. After not receiving it in another month, I contacted them and asked for a refund. They issued the refund immediately without a problem."

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They attempted to defraud me out of $235 on an order for a wireless telephone. Paypal is pursuing them for lack of available funds in their account. Paypal *had* to refund me because that is their policy. However, they (Paypal) are out the 2+ c-notes."

"*****BEWARE***** In my opinion this vendor is a scam artist. I bought a Navionics Chart they said they had in stock. One week later I inquired where it was. A few days later I got a response it was on backorder, but now shipped. When it arrived it was the wrong product. I sent another email because there is no way to get a phone number to call them. Since then no response! They claim to have a chat/help site, they give no direction how to get on it and I can only assume they don't.

I went to the manufacturer to report this vendor. To my surprise, the manufacturer agreed to refund my money through a credit for my purchase from them albeit at an additional cost. My experience with these guys cost me $75 and could have been the whole $249 if Navionics didnt step up and honorably make good on their distributor's dispicable behavior. My advice would be to not deal with this vendor. I feel embarrased I did not read the other reviews here before I did business with Electotronics!!!! I will have them tracked down (they are very camoflauged on their web site) and report them to the Atty General, Dept of Consumer Affairs.

My two item were indicated as "in-stock" their website and their shipping policy states most items ship in 2-3 business days. I should
have received my item by now (eight business days later) but I have received absolutely no correspondence from the retailer except the initial sales confirmation. No way to check on the status of my order online. I should have trusted the reviews on this website but I thought I'd take a chance. I'm email canceled my order (if it has not already shipped). I will order this item elsewhere. IF my item ships after I sent my email cancellation notice, I will refuse delivery.

"I order an item from this store on July 17 and my card on the same day. As of now the only email I ever got from them is the order confirmation. They do not replay to emails or their "live chat". I should have read the reviews before ordering from them. I am very disappointed.

Update: I was finally contacted by electOtronics.com yesterday. They offered me to send the item with a free 2-day delivery update and it is on the way now. They ware very friendly, but I think they definitely have to get their act together in the future.

"I placed an order with this seller on 7/15/2010. My card was charged at that time. I have never received an order confirmation or tracking number. I tried to contact customer service via Live Chat, it doesn't work. I sent an e-mail message and was contacted by customer service within a short time. They acknowledged their error and to make up for any inconvience sent my order out for express delivery. Any company that takes responsibility for an error and makes up for it is in my opinion a good company. I would order from Electotronic again."

HOPELESS CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Th order was not shipped at all - after intervention and sending an email to CS I received the answer saying that there was an error in the warehouse and it never shipped.

I never received the promised tracking number. Finally after 2 weeks I receive the prosucts - completely unadequatly packed - the box was torn and almost half batteries were missing !!!!!!

After very bad comunication I finaly got the missing batteries.

"Item was listed as in-stock; card was charged immediately and there was no contact from seller for next 12 days. When I attempted to use the "live chat" customer support to find out what happened to my order, I discovered that in fact you can only leave a message to be returned by phone or email, and that the number I had seen is for faxing orders in only. At this point I am wishing that I had gone with a different seller for the product.

After posting this review, seller contacted me by email and says that there was an error at the warehouse and the order was never shipped. They apologized and will be sending it with 2-day shipping to make up for the inconvenience.

They were closed on holiday for the next 2-days and failed to send me the tracking number, but they did ship as promised with expedited 2-day shipping.

This company is NOT a scam - they attempt to follow through on orders in good faith - they just appear not to have things 100% together. I would order again from them only if they had a significant price advantage over other sellers.

"I am satisfied with the products and prices, however customer service and promptness really need improvement. Also access to customer service is dismal - almost non existant.

The previous reviewer is not alone.

Ordered 4-7-10

Credit Card Charged almost immediately

No contact for several weeks and finally I got an response to my query as to order status in email stating I "slipped through the cracks" and some items were backordered.

Partial shipment 4-23-10

Now its 5-14-10 and I'm still waitng for part of the order to show up. No communication. No offer to cancel or any idea of when my order will come. I cant even find a phone number to call on their site, and their online "live chat" seems to always be "offline" I've sent emails and left messages and I am starting to think I may never get what I ordered.

Summer is here and I'm still waiting for this part for my boat - was hoping to have it all done before the sun started shining. Just a little dissapointed...

Aside from the long delay in actually receiving the items (listed as in stock on the site), to be charged so far in advance of shipping is unacceptable.

Ammended Review (05-05-10) After I posted this review, the company very promptly contacted me and made a conciliatory offer in compensation for this situation. I do not feel a need for this, but will consider this company again in the future, as their rating with the Better Business Bureau is good. (I had checked there before ordering, and always recommend this to anyone, when dealing with a company with whom they have not dealt before.)

"at first, i was skeptical about ordering with this electotronics, because i had read some negative reviews.... i am SO glad i decided to do business with them.... they bent over backwards to ensure everything was exactly as stated, and i will not hesitate to do future business with them in the near future.... one thing to remember.... most people wont leave a review, unless they had an unpleasant experience... so dont automatically assume that the majority of customers have been unhappy.... theyre just the ones who leave reviews!!!! A+++ "
