"Bought c840 replacement keyboard on Jan 13. On Jan 14 received confirmation of order processing. On Jan 16 I was told to wait for credit card approval but would be done on Jan 17. On Jan 17, I was told still to wait for credit card approval. On Jan 18, I called to cancell order but I was told it was shipped on Jan 17. I received defective keyboard on Jan 19. File RMA reqest on Jan 19, no respone. Called on Jan 20th, no response. On Jan 23, still no response. I filed my complaint with the American Express to withold payment and BBB for possible consumer fraud. I will file a complaint with the Santa Clara District Attorney for consumer watch on Jan 27 of 2006. Days wasted! This is one of the worst online retailer that I have purchased from. No response still on Jan 25. Hope this will help others from making the same mistake!"
"I order this Laptop on the 19th, Credit card Charged and Still I have no Laptop. I have called Twice. The second time I called I notice they had placed a second order for the same laptop. I pointed it out to them and they removed it from my list. Still no word on my laptop"
"Order a replacement Dell Laptop battery. Etech4sale saved me $35 over batterysavings.com.
Etech4sale also sent me the item a few days after my order was recieved and it was at my doorstep within a week. Batterysavings.com told me I would have to wait over a month for their battery which they advertised as in stock. I will look at Etech4sale before I shop around from now on. Great place to buy from. This is my second purchase from Etech4sale."
"Transaction went through smoothly. Received package in a quick and efficient manner.
BUT! I did not receive the advertised product. I ordered a SANDISK 128mb memory stick duo, and received the LEXAR brand instead."
"They post lots of things on there site that says it is in stock and it is not. They did not check inventory until my credit card had cleared. And then did not have what I need. Now I cannot order what I need because my funds are all tighed up waiting for my refund. This has set me back over two weeks and has been a huge pain in the ass."
"I ordered 13 disk drives. They immediately charged my credit card. A few days later they called and said they had zero drives in stock. I agreed to a cheaper substitution which they shipped. They did not credit back the difference so I have been overcharged over $100. They NEVER answer emails. I called for credit bu nothing happens. I filed a complaint through my credit card company.
I have bought several things from them over the years but this is the end. Customer service is nonexistent!!! The RMA process doesn't work! I request online RMAs but have to call every time to get a response.
The somewhat lower prices are not worth the grief!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"
"My motherboard died -- an MSI Neo Platinum -- and I searched the internet for a replacement. New ones are practically (completely?) nonexistent, since the Neo Platinum is a full feature socket 754 motherboard, and MSI now manufactures a cheaper board without firewire, with only 2 SATA connectors and only 2 DIMM slots that they call the Neo-V, for value. I use firewire and have 3 DIMMS and 3 SATA drives, so I needed the Platinum.
Etech advertises that they have it. I order it. It does not ship until January 4 (ok, I know, holidays) and does not arrive until January 10. They give me the wrong tracking number too -- for a package bound for another state -- and do not respond to my emails asking what has gone wrong while the package is in transit.
Sure enough, the motherboard they deliver is the Neo-V! The Neo-V is an inexpensive motherboard anywhere else, but they charged me a Neo Platinum price for it. Their terms say they are not responsible for errors on their web page, only on their invoice, but even my invoice says clearly "Neo Platinum." So I am screwed. My computer has been down almost 2 weeks, and I still don't have the part to fix it.
My wife says to mention that when I saw what they had shipped me I was so angry I used inappropriately *colorful* language in front of the children. So on top of everything else, I am in the doghouse.
Overall, a very unpleasant transaction. I have emailed themEtech to RMA the board. Will update when I get (or don't get) a response."

"Great product! Fast shipping. Just packaging. No complaints here!"
"I first tried to order the ASUS K8N-E Deluxe on December 18th. It showed as in stock so I ordered it and a Sempron processor. The next day I received a voice mail that the motherboard was out of stock and since I can't use the CPU without a motherboard I cancelled the whole order.
Two days later I checked and the motherboard was now listed twice - the first was the one I ordered and now said out of stock. The second showed as in stock but a few dollars more so I again placed my order.
Two days later I received a call that the motherboard was not available. I asked why it was on the website as available and didn't receive much of an answer.
TWO WEEKS LATER - as of this writing - the motherboard is STILL listed as available and in stock.
I'm very unhappy with this store. If you don't have something in stock, if your "supplier" isn't sure they have the item, then don't show it as available on your website. Use the phrase "call for availability" or something similar."
"Twice I purchased a CPU from this company, and both times I was later informed it was out of stock. That is fine, but after the second purchase and several phone calls, it took two weeks to refund a simple PayPal transaction."
"Charged card after 2 days, but did not ship nor email nor call. Inquired after 13 days, no response other than generic email to call company. Didn't return first call. Turns out item was out of stock, despite "Qty in stock 34". Cancelled order after 22 days."
"Purchasing hardware from Etech4sale was very smooth. I did not experience any problems. They were quick and responsive. I would definitely purchase hardware from them again."
"My last purchase was an AMD system. I am retired from IBM and worked on PC's prior to my retirement. The system that I bought is running fine. The only thing that I would have liked in addition to what I received would have been a CD with the drivers on it. Since the computer had no software on it, it would have been easier if there would have been a CD shipped that included the drivers. In addition, my shipped USB doesn't work due to lack of drivers. I am using my original copy of Windows XP Pro. I do not register it, or update it. I have turned off all of the auto update features. It runs as good as i would expect any Windows to run (fair at best). After reading the EULA, I decided not to register or update. I don't think that Microsoft or any company should have the right to shut you down because you didn't inform them of a hardware change. They are not Gods!! I will be going to a Linux based system as soon as possible. I am having a little trouble learning the new Linux language. For your information PCLinuxOS runs fine on this hardware from a CD alone. It's a little slow but they have compressed 2 GB of programs onto a standard CD. I am satisfied with all of my purchases from etech4sale."
"This was my first time ordering from etech, and from the start, all seemed to be ok. I bought a 80gb Maxtor harddrive, intending for it to be in use by Christmas. Shipping was slow, but ok. Unfortunately, after receiving it, I found it was defective. I was upset, but etech4sale did
send me a new one after I shipped them the
bad one. I couldn't get a hold of them
except for their telephone number. Aside
from this, I am satisfied with the purchase
and will probably purchase from them again.
I just happened to get a bad drive with my
first order from them and assumed they were
a fraud. They were very helpful once I got
in contact with them, and I want to try to
clarify that they aren't crooks. Just be
sure to call them - don't email. They were
very helpful once I called. They offer some
of the best prices around - thanks!
