"I ordered a "Dell" dvd-rom drive for my laptop from these guys. When it showed up, the drive is obviously made by someone else who then puts a phony looking sticker on it that says: Dell (but not their logo), and get this, it says CD/RW ont the door of the drive, but it is MARKERED out...oh boy.
On the order page, they give you a specific option as to whether you want to allow them to change shippers to: expedite your delivery (ummm...what?). Well, I just wanted FedEx so I could track it, and I figured I'll pay the extra 50 cents. So I explicitly told them to ship FedEx ground...sure enough I get an email saying that they shipped it through USPS.
All said, the drive seems to work, which is good, but the swap from a "genuine Dell" drive to some cheap copy that is being masqueraded as the real thing, and the shipping thing just really give me a bad feeling about this store. I will definitely not be a return customer."
"According to the website, the part was available. I paid for three day shipping. I heard nothing concerning order availability from this company until nine days later. NINE DAYS??!!!! And then they said that it was not available. Not acceptable, at all. If it isn't available, let me know ASAP so I can find one that is available. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!"

Pricing was excellent, shipping was free and very timely.
My only issue was with the ordering process. Somehow, I ended up with two orders for the same item. I did not know this until I received the confirmation email from eTech. However, I was able to quickly identify and correct the mistake.
I think the web ordering interface can be improved a bit to eliminate such occurrences.
Other than that little glitch, the entire process was superb. I will use them again in the future."

"Be careful buying from this merchant. They substituted a brand that was totally different from the item I ordered ... and without prior notification or authorization. On 9/1/2005 I asked for an explanation and still have received no response."
"I ordered a single item, a Dell AS500 speaker bar, on September 1st of 2005, over two weeks ago, and have yet to receive the order. This slow response is annoying, but what really angers me is that I selected UPS Ground as the shipping method from their shipping drop down menu but received US Postal Service shipping, instead. If I had been honestly informed of this situation, I would have paid the little extra for FedEx ground shipping which is quicker and much more dependable than USPS and, in some ways, UPS.
So my complaints are basically the slow fulfillment of my order and the fact that I was lied to about the shipping method I paid for."
"I ordered a ASRockP4V88 motherboard. Their warehouse is only about 40 miles away from me. It took them over a week to ship it...I should have just picked it up myself. If that weren't enough. They instead sent me the P4V88+, its not compatible with my CPU, so I cant use it.
I tried to RMA it, but i never got authorized. I had to call up and speak to a rep and they authorized to send it in. I think they credited the shipping. Nonetheless, they tried to find the motherboard i was looking for and they refunded promptly."
"My family has tried several times to buy from them. Same story: flimflam bait & switch. They gather orders for stuff they don't have, then decide which merchandise to procure and resell. The web site is a fake. The item I tried to buy is STILL listed as available, although days ago they notified me it is out of stock and wouldn't I like to substitute such and such. Don't bother trying to call them... they NEVER answer, but always suggest you "leave a message."
There are plenty of other tech stores on the internet that try to operate with integrety. Stay away from this one. "
"Got a call last Wednesday on August 31st from customer service to switch out different model hard drives (WD out of stock for Maxtor). I said okay but still have not received my other two items even though I requested to ship them separately if something was out of stock. Got tracking number on Friday Sept 2nd 8:09PM EST. Fed EX estimate Monday Sept 12th delivery. If you are in a hurry, Ground shipping is definitely not the way you want to go here especially around a holiday weekend! At this point I just pray that I have ordered compatible hardware.:)"

"I heard about this "great offer" from the SA forums, and people commented it seemed kind of fishy that the quantity amount listed on the site stayed at one number. I decided to just go with it and order one anyways. Big mistake!
Etech4sale emailed me a few days down the road and said they could send me another keyboard instead since they were out of stock on the one I wanted to order. Immediately I found their phone number and left a message, detailing my order and my request to cancel. I then sent off an email as well. No answer for the next 3 days.
I think I was still charged for a keyboard, but one was never sent. I will never purchase from etech. They used a bait and switch technique with a relatively cheap order, and now their resellerratings are going to turn up the heat. I know I'm going to be doing my part.
