As for the ease of the site- I ran into one dilemma. When the order form asked which shipping I preferred the options were jumbled. After going 'Back' then 'Next' again...It was cleared up. Other than that I was very pleased. Especially with the car options. (It allowed mw to type in the year, make,model. Then told me which wequipment would/should work).

"Misleading product availability. Web site said in-stock (ship within 24 hours). Ordered on Friday, still hadn't shipped by Tuesday. They didn't respond to an email even though they have a 5-business hour response gaurantee. Waited on phone for 10 minutes to talk to a rep. She said item had to ship from one warehouse to another before they could ship it to me and it should get sent to me within 1-2 additional days. I indicated I did not consider this 'in stock'. I found another company that carried the item and ordered from them. Called etronics back and cancelled the order - they didn't even ask why. This type of behavior gives online etailers a bad rap - be honest with me and if you gaurantee certain levels of customer service you should deliver on them.
After my post here, I was contacted by their marketing department who offered free shipping on my next order or free overnight if I still wanted the product I originally ordered. To be fair, I've had success with them in the past but in the past I never had a service issue (that's good) so the first time I did need their service they failed me. Given past success I will try them again in future and update my review accordingly."

"Ordering with Etronics went smoothly. I always pay with money order and they had specific instructions on how they accept the payment. I was given a order number and a shipping number to track my package. It arived the day it was suppose to. The product was brand new and was well packaged. I found a couple sites a LITTLE cheaper than Etronics, but the sites were unorganized and didn't have any instruction on paying with a money order. I will be back on Etronics.com the next time I want to buy an appliance. "

"I hate to leave a bad review for etronics.com as I’ve had good experiences with this company in the past. However my most recent order for them was on 3/2/05 for a Dual XDVD-180 7" Portable LCD DVD Player so that my daughter could watch movies while drive to our vacation destination. When I ordered, I understood that there was a 1-2 day wait on shipping which was fine because we were not leaving for our trip until 3/18/05. On March 7th, I received an email stating that my item was shipped (but no tracking number was provided) from a separate distributor because this item was not in etronics.com inventory. This email also stated that I should receive the package in (at most) 7 days. Fine, I still have enough time. On March 15th, I fired off an email to their support email asking what the status was. I never received a reply from anyone there even through their phone messages suggest that you email them and that you “are a valued customer” and your emails will have a guaranteed response in 5 hours. I Guess not!. Anyhow, I just got off the phone with them demanding to know what the status is, and I was told by the support representative that she spoke to the buyer and the product has not shipped yet. Even though they charged my visa! I asked that the order be canceled and that my account be reaccredited the difference. Etronics.com had 12 business days to fill this order.
Some suggestions for etronics.com
1) Don’t charge a customers card until the product actually ships
2) Don’t represent that a product has shipped, when in fact it has not.
3) Don’t state that you will guarantee a response to customers email in 5 hours when you don’t.

"Etronics.com has very competitive prices on just about any electronic device I would ever need. Their shipping rates are very reasonable, and I really like the fact they actually pack larger electronics inside another box - They don't just ship the item in the manufacturers box, like some on-line retailers. Shipping is always very fast, also. The only thing they could do better is show larger, multiple views of the product you are purchasing. They only have one small image of the item, and there is no option to zoom in and look at the item. I always have to go to a competitors web-site to actually look at the item I intend to purchase from Etronics.com"

"I placed an order based on pricing for a small item, an antenna. Etronics had the lowest listed price and the item was shown as "In Stock." During the order process I was surprised and shocked to see that they requested, for verification purposes, the online user i.d. and password for my credit card account. Not likely, and there was an option to proceed without providing this info. One week later I received an email stating the item was backordered. The same occurred after another week. I canceled the order, and it appears the temporary authorization has been removed from my card account. A mixed experience. I have to say that, on balance, I will not be dealing with this company in the future. I would add that a number of the reviews posted here are suspiciously commercial-like in tone."
