"Fumfie is a dishonest seller! Same as another reviewer wrote before me - after I paid online for a Nikon 3100 camera, the next day I got an email to confirm the order by phone. The salesman first tried to upsell me extra battery. When I declined he informed me of an additional 48 Dollare shipping insurance. So it was not a free shipping as advertise. At that point I asked them to refund my credit card. I will have to check with my credit card company to make sure they refunded me.

I have been shopping online extensively over the past few years and have never encountered this kind of misleading sales techniques.

"Here is the deal with FUMFIE. Actually the people there are just trying to make a sale. They will be pushy like a used-car salesman! You may have to be a little stern in making a deal. Learn to play their game. Be vigilant regarding hidden charges. Do not buy extra's that they push if you do not need it. Stick with your plans. FUMFIE ships promptly and pricing is lower than most places I have been too. Buy smart!!"

"Fumfie is the worst online seller! Dishonest seller! After I paid online then I got an email to confirm the order by phone. And I found a hidden charge for the insurance fee. About $40 so basically it is not a free shipping as advertise. When I received the Sony SLR 500 camera, it s brand new but the box has been opened and checked inside there was an after market battery! Not oem Sony battery. So I called they said I told them that i wanted an extended battery! They are thefts ! Stole my battery and replaced with a cheap after market one. They told me to return the whole package and I have to paid the shipping back and lost my $40 insurance fee. End up I lost money about $70 shipping insurance and shipping it back. So don't do any business with them. They will rip you off. "

"I recently purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T1i Camera plus telescopic lens from Fumfie. I was helped into this buy from a knowledgable customer representative who really knew his apples! This camera is exactly what I wanted and the pix quality is superb. Fumfie's price beat all other competitors as well. I had a perfect shopping experience with Fumfie. "Big Savings ,Big Rip Off, BIG WASTE OF TIME!
Be Warned, do not buy!
Tried pricing a new Sony Cybershot and found Fumfie with the lowest price of anyone around and was excited, over $100 difference! Even the 16gb Sony DuoPro memory card was a great deal and after some brief homework on the company, ordered. Wish I had done some more research. The next day I got an email asking to call their customer support line. Thinking there was a problem with the order, I did. I was told they were confirming the order, but they tried to upsell a battery. I knew the price, and on my computer while I was on the phone I checked, not much difference from what I saw in a local bestbuy, so I told them no thanks. I was then told about the "$30 insurance fee, required on all purchases". I told them their site had mentioned nothing about the fee, and orders for my amount had no shipping or handling. again, I was told it was required. I figured what the hell, it's still a huge discount over the closest competitor. I ordered the camera, which took 3 weeks to arrive. I was happy, until I realized the memory card was not in the package. HOPING the card was shipped separately, I waited an extra week, looking for a package with the memory card.
One month after I had first ordered the camera, I called customer support and told them the situation. The guy on the phone apologized, but tried to switch the more expensive ProDuo, which ONLY WORKS IN THE SONY, to a regular memory card, with no discount. I eventually got the guy to understand, and he said one would be shipped the next day. Two weeks later, no email or information about the memory card, I called customer support back telling them I wanted the memory card I ordered AND paid for. I was told they had a back order of memory cards and mine was among several who hadn't received one, and although they had gotten a package in a couple hours earlier, he didn't know if they were memory cards because he was the only one working and couldn't leave his desk. I called back the next day, they did have the memory card, and mine was being shipped out. I got an email with tracking information and it took another week for the memory card to make it to my door. I could finally use my camera that I had paid for just over 6 weeks earlier for. DO NOT BUY from this seller, not professional, poor communication, and they don't have all they claim to have in stock.

On March 28 after the original posting my original review, I was contacted by a customer service rep asking about my experience. After explaining the situation and all that happened, I was offered a Battery for the camera originally purchased, por gratis. Within the hour I received an invoice with no charge for the correct battery, and in less than a week the battery was at my door. The follow-up helped ease the animosity about the initial experience, and appreciate the attempt to correct the purchase, but I probably still won't be back to order from them again.

"I placed an order for a Nikon P7000 camera because Fumfie had the lowest price and offered free shipping. At first there was a problem because they wanted a steep handling fee. However, this was resolved and I am very pleased. I am impressed with their level of customer service."

"I was looking for two specific camcorders and did a websearch and came up with Fumfie. The prices were good, better than any competitors. I placed the order on Friday and got an email asking me to call and confirm the order on Monday. I did and the salesperson went through a number of options I had not specified making sure I didn't want the extended warranty, extra battery, or other accessories I had deselected when going through the ecommerce checkout on Friday. It was a bit annoying but I just said "no thanks" right up till the moment he confirmed the price and announced quickly that there was a 9% insurance fee they had to add for my protection of course! That came to an extra $120 that had not been noted anywhere on the pricing when I'd gone through the checkout with my shopping cart on Friday. When I balked at that and asked if the insurance was mandatory he said yes it was mandatory. I quickly canceled my order and had to spend another 20 minutes looking around before I found the same products on ebay and B&H. I ended up saving $100 over Fumfie. Now I understand they said that shipping was free, but it was free on eBay and B&H as well, and they certainly didn't try to tack on an extra 9% fee after I'd ordered. I looked around on the internet for others who had similar experiences and sure enough found others hit by this mystery fee. Evidently it used to be 6%, but is now 9%. It was easy to cancel, but all in all it was deceptive on Fumfie's part and made me not want to ever shop there again. UPDATE!!!, a week after this I was contacted by a representative of Fumfie asking about my experience, apoligizing, and stating that they are changing their policies. I'd already ordered from another vendor, but they sent me a set a filters for the cameras free as their way of saying sorry. It's good to see that Fumfie does seem to care about what customers think. If they change their mandatory insurance policy then I'd consider buying from them again."

"Beware - Smoke and mirrors - Terrible online ordering system. No instant order confirmation, no way to retrieve order info from site. Mystery as to what they are going to charge you. Outrageous 9% "insurance" fee hardly makes shipping "free". Additionally site states that first $100 insurance is covered by UPS, but they still charge you their insurance fee on the first $100. Rude communications via email. Not worth your time, go elsewhere - nothing but regret..."

"I recently purchased a DSLR through Fumfie.com and could not have asked for a better experience. Their prices blew all the competitors out of the water! I was aware of the 9% insurance fee prior to placing the order and still saved money in the end. Plus, a few days after placing the order I needed to upgrade the shipping for an event coming up. When I called the customer service rep was outstanding in ensuring my order left the warehouse that day for overnight shipping. He walked to the warehouse while I was on the phone with him just for my own peace of mind! Needless to say my camera was in my hands the next day ready to go. My only concern was that it took me so long to discover fumfie.com in the first place! "
