"The long story short, I am pleased enough to purchase from this company again, now that I know what to expect and how they differ from other web marketers. On to the long version:
On 9/14/2010 I ordered a Sony HDR-CX550V video camera. After shopping the web, looking for the best deal I could find, they had the best price listed. Surprisingly, when I clicked to place the order, no printable invoice was displayed. Instead, a few minutes later I get an email which wanted me to call and verify the order for faster processing.
I called, as requested. At the start of the conversation, the “insurances” charges of about $50 prompted me to ask them to just cancel the order. This was a surprise charge and felt it was very misleading and disingenuous. The customer service person then responded that he would throw in an AC/DC charger for $11.00. I cooled down a bit and said ok.
Then he came to the battery talk. He claimed the original battery would only last for 30 minutes. I knew better than that. Sony’s website and the camera box itself both say the original battery will last for either 100 minutes, or 110 minutes, depending on use of the LCD screen. I over looked that and just realized they were trying to take an original sale and add to it for the bottom line. That is business, with the exception of misrepresentation. I did end up purchasing the “buy one get one free” battery offer. I had seen the high capacity NP-FV100 Sony battery being sold on other websites for about $62.00 each. Even though Fumfie wanted about $4 more for the pair of batteries, I purchased them.
I called back a short time later to make sure it was the Sony NP-FV100 battery I had purchased, and the customer service representative state that yes, it was indeed a real Sony battery.
I ordered the camera on 9/14/2010 and I just received it an hour ago. I went for the 7-10 days free shipping and it was delivered before it was expected.
Upon opening the box, I discovered the battery was not a Sony battery. Also, there was only one battery not two. The AC/DC battery charge was for the old Sony battery, not the new sized batteries. The video camera was in an unopened box, as I would have expected.
My first temptation was to send the whole thing back and start over. I called and talked to two customer service representative and then a supervisor. I spoke kindly to all of them and they all spoke kindly to me. I explained the situation. One representative told me Sony does not make the high capacity battery. I told him the box of the Vivitar battery clearly states this battery is a replace for the Sony NP-FV100. During the conversation with the supervisor he stated they have had nothing but trouble with the Sony brand batteries. Maybe Sony batteries are inferior, but I have never had a problem with my 4 previous Sony camcorder batteries.
Down to what matters with conflict resolution: They agree to take back the charger that will not work for the camera, send another Vivitar battery, the correct charger and a 4G flash card. They have done the best they could, in my opinion, to make the best of this incident.
Items where they could improve would include an online receipt and a detailed invoice with brand names and part numbers. More honesty in the first contact and further contacts would be good too. It is misleading, at best, to tell a customer the original battery would only last 30 minutes on a full charge when the actual time would be greater by factor of three, 100 minutes or longer.
While there were some misstatements, they are just a company trying to make the most of each sales contact. It would be my guess, if they were completely forward with the information presented to customers, sales would go down some. This would lead to much higher customer satisfaction and result in fewer conflicts or problems with the orders.
Being upfront and accurate with information is the only serious problem of consequence I can note in my dealing with them. It is better not to have a problem to begin with versus trying to repair the problem.

"This review is made after I have had my order for 5 to 6 weeks now. I have had allot of time to learn about, and use the video camera I bought. First let me say that ordering was easy on Fumfie's website. My order was processed, shipped, and received in a very timely manner. Now to my camera which is the Cannon VIXIA HFM31. I like the camera allot and it is rather easy to use. I never had a touch screen camera before so that took a little getting used to. This camera is compact, and light weight. The LCD screen is backlit in case it is very sunny out. You can still see the screen although not as well as out of the bright sunlight. But well enough that you can shoot your video. The software that came with my video camera loaded on my computer easily. The software seems to work well for transfering my video to my computer. I haven't used the different utilities to manipulate my video. I have other programs on my computer that I am used to using, and have been using them instead. The one thing that I wish was included was a complete user manual for the camera. It has a watered down manual that directs you to pages on a PDF file. The PDF file is very complete and easy to navigate. I like reading a hard copy now and then browsing through it. It gives me something to do while I wait for comercials on TV to get done. Overall I like the camrera allot. I also ordered the total accessorie package and am pleased with all the stuff that was in that. Would I buy from Fumfie again. Well I have them bookmarked and the next time I need anything for still shots or video you can bet they will be the first place I look.

May be ok or it may not. My experience was similar to others. Placed order on line then had to call to confirm per email instructions. First call no answer, Second Call told I had to talk to someone else who would be in later, when called back later and told that the cost would be nearly $100 more than advertised and order stated on web site. They tried to sell me up on everything under the sun. When I declined and told them I wanted just what I have ordered at the price advertised they refused and still wanted nearly $100 more for shipping handling and insurance. By the way I had chosen the free shipping option (7-10days). Maybe they are ok other than false advertising but I don't do business with deceptive companies. You can if you want but when they misrepresent themselves from the get go I figure if there is a problem later I will get no where. By the way I cancelled my credit card number after canceling my order with them. Who knows what guy on the street might end up with it."

Good Flash Memory card/tripod/cleaners/AC attachement/carrying case...However: Universal Battery charger wouldn't fit this camera's battery (they're sending me a new one) and the super-duper camcorder light was a super cheap chinese piece of junk that wouldn't charge properly and that I threw out. Advice to Fumfie:class up that Accessory package!
