"This being my first experience with Fumfie.com I found them to be friendly and knowledgeable. The product price was competitive (Pentax K-7 with Lense). I checked out quite a few other web addresses for the same product. They will try to sell you with supporting items, but so will any other store you purchase from. That is there business. I do recommend Fumfie.com, and I think I will be buying from them again. SJS Black Creek, Ga."

"They Cheated me. When I received the invoice in my EMail, I saw the total price was $31 more than what I was told over phone. And they do not provide break up prices in the invoice. Just one total bill amount. That way you dont immediately catch the extra amount they charged you. When I called back they said they charged $31 for Shipping Insurance. When I was ordering they did not even utter a single word about insurance. They refused to revert that extra charge. Also the invoice they sent looked fraudulent. It had no Invoice number. And no breakup of prices.
Overall they offer good prices on products, but they will charge you for things you were not told about, and they will tell you to ship it back if you are not happy.

"I too was sucked in by low prices, $1249 for a 7D. So, I called up a sales rep on the phone and asked him specific questions: "Is the 7D gray market or imported?" He said no. "So, it carries the full 1 year Canon USA warranty?" He said yes.

I then asked him how much I'll be paying out the door (As I read many reviews about FumFie and knew about the shipping insurance they tack on). He said it would be 1349 out the door. I said ok, Let's order it. He then got my information and said, "Since you're in CA, it will be $48 dollars more". This brought the total to $1397, which is still a great price for the Canon 7d body.

So, I went ahead and ordered it. Once the package arrived, there was no USA Warranty card, came with a generic battery. My doubts became real.

The next day I called up Fumfie with the 7D packaged ready for shipment. I talked to a customer service representative and said I would like to return the product, please provide me a RMA. He then said "Ok, I will begin processing that request for you". He then said "May I ask why you are returning the product?" I told him that it had no USA warranty card as well as a generic battery. He said that he has no issues returning this product and will still process the return, but said you can register the 7D online for the warranty. I told him I'll take a look and see if that truly is the case (give him the benefit of the doubt). I looked at the link he sent me, it sent me to the Canon registration website for updates, etc...doesn't have anything to do with the warranty as Canon will require a receipt or warranty card when doing repairs.

I explained that to him and he processed my RMA confirming that I will not be charged a restocking fee. I will verify that this truly is the case and edit this review if things go badly on that end.

EDIT: My experience wasn't the greatest as I feel they are being dishonest with the products they sell. Since I cannot confirm that it is 100% a gray market or import model, I will just say that the appearance was that it was not an USA model due to the missing items (Warranty card, the two photography booklets, and A/V Cable) and generic battery. They do have a responsive call center, but I would not recommend Fumfie if you are looking for a USA warrantied product as I didn't get the warranty card needed for the warranty service (or a receipt is required if you do not have a warranty card).

EDIT: After posting the resellerratings review, I received a call from Fumfie's manager and he explained that the camera is indeed an USA model. He explained this as them being a non-authorized Canon dealer that purchases from authorized Canon dealers so they take the warranty cards out as they link back to the authorized Canon dealer. This way they don't get caught. He also explained that they have had no issues with the cameras being serviced at the Canon repair center. What doesn't make sense is that isn't the serial number attached to the camera traceable back to the authorized dealer?

He also re-pointed me to the CanonUSA website for registration. He said that once warrantied it puts the camera into Canon's system (Which I don't doubt) and allows for it to be serviced. The website is http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/registration/consumer/eos_slr_camera_systems/eos_digital_slr_cameras/eos_7d. I called into the Canon service center for the 3rd time (Called in twice last night asking about the warranty card) and asked information on this site, they said it has no bearing whatsoever with getting the camera serviced.

They offered a 3 year warranty along with getting the the parts that weren't included. They have great customer service, I'll give them that, but I'm not confident enough in the product that was given to me so I will be sending it back for a full refund. I'll update on the refund status when it's complete.

Refund Update: They did not refund the entire amount like promised, they deducted 15% for a restocking fee. I will be calling them today to discuss and have them refund the full amount or I will be getting my credit card involved to reverse the charges.

Refund Update: I called up FumFie customer service and they said they did indeed see that I should get the restocking fee as indicated on my RMA. She said she would give me a call back after she had talked to her manager.

I received a call back from her saying that the product is indeed a USA model and they will not be refunding the restocking fee. What a bunch of crap that is. What USA model would not come with a warranty card, genuine battery, and the included accessories!?

I'm getting my credit card company involved to get all my money back. Do not buy from these crooks!



Update: I ordered my 7D from another vendor...guess what, it came with a Canon USA Warranty card with the serial number on the card. Watch out! Fumfie's "USA model" DOES NOT come with the 1 Year Canon USA Warranty. I talked to Canon's Service department and they stated that the USA Models come with this card! After going through all this research, I'm sure that they ARE NOT selling the USA Models with a 1 Year Canon USA Warranty.

Not only did they have the best price that I found on the entire web but it was shipped out to me in Canada and I received it less than a week. I talked to customer service as it seems they forgot to pack the extra battery and when I called their customer service line, Tammy, a representative there was very professional and courteous and apologetic and made everything good. "Fumfie is a great place to shop. The sales rep was a wonderful, helpful person. The price was $350 less than the local camera shop, and they (Fumfie) threw in a camera bag and a small cleaning kit.

Everything from the email tracking number to the scheduled delivery was excellent. If I had a company, I would want it to run like this one. Thanks Fumfie for the great commitments and standing behind them.

"I placed an order for a Canon T1i camera on a Friday the 15th as an anniversay gift. I needed it to be delivered before the 27th. The email confirmation I received had an error message in it with no data so I was beginning to worry about the legitimacy of the transaction. I replied to the message and requested a receipt. On Monday night after getting home late from work I got another message saying I needed to call and confirm the order. At this time they were closed so I lost another day in getting the order confirmed. I finally spoke to someone on Wed. to confirm the order. I explained that I could have called on Friday if the confirmation receipt had instructed me to do so and that now I thought the camera would not make it here in time for my anniversary. The gentlemen used the time on the phone to offer me some other products of which I bought an extra long life 5 hour battery. He then proceeded to tell me that he was going to give me a second battery because of all the trouble at no costs AND offered to ship it with a guranteed delivery so I would get it before the date I needed. I didn't have to ask. I just got the camera after only 2 days. I haven't used it yet but its here. You know things can happen in any business transaction but its how the business responds that builds a reputation. I'd say this response should go a long way towards building Fumfie's reputation. thanks RJ "

"On Friday, October 15, 2010, my bank had not accepted the charge, and after clearing this error up with my bank, I left 4 voice mails to either George or Albert to ask them to run the charge again. Neither called me back. On Sunday, I called George and he said that he'd have the billing department do it on Monday. That Monday morning, my bank said the charge hadn't yet gone through, so I called and spoke with Kasey, who successfully made the charge with my bank. The camera arrived on Thursday evening, but did not include the wireless mics I had also purchased. On Friday morning, October 22, I left a message with George, waited an hour, and called him again. During this conversation, George put me on hold about every 5 seconds, and then I was disconnected. I called back, and he gave me Robert, who told me that they were waiting for a shipment of the wireless mics and said a letter stating this should have been enclosed with my camera (it was not.) Later, Robert returned my voice mail and said that I should receive the wireless mics on Monday or Tuesday. It has been a challenge to get in touch with the appropriate people at Fumfie, and a few times I felt like they may not want my money. I now await the much needed wireless mics."

That sums up in a nutshell my transaction in dealing with Fumfie.com Such a unconventional name might not have drawn most people to this company's website and at the same time it might pique the interest of others; it did arouse my interest and when I called I was blown away by the courteous and polite Customer Service offered. "I placed an order of CANON HF-S20 over the weekend with Fumfie and there is an email sent to my mailbox right away, however, there is no order number provided. Then, they keep sending everyday with 2-3 emails and asked me to call them. I knew the game, so I did not call. Look like Fumfie (where I found too many good feedback - are they real?) does not honor their price - like most other re-sellers trying to "add" some more expve things to the original order. Trusted websites no need to call. Just order and receive with all with confirmations and tracking number. I ordered what I need and feel that the price I can afford, if I need something else then I will added to my cart. No need to ask me to call for some more things. No deal."
