"Horrible experience, poor customer service: My X-mas order arrived late on Jan 3rd. My DVD boxed set of the Simpsons S. 6 was missing disc 2. I Googled their unpublished number only to speak w/ someine w/ an Indian accent. I had great difficulty communicating w/ him. He told me they would approve an RMA via email, I would need to send the product back, then they would send mea new product. This should take about 2-3 weeks. Even worse, there was a rebate on this product. The need to return the product would invalidate by rebate (postmark dates). When all was said and done, I was told to sit tight and wait for my RMA email. I was given an apology which doesn't fix my (now) late AND lousy Xmas gift."
"What a colossal waste of time. FYE was running a special on the Die Hard Ultimate collection DVD. Purchase it on Dec 06, 2005 for $30 and get a $20 rebate. The catch is that you have to postmark the rebate entry by Jan 06, 2006 and the rebate entry must include proof of purchase. Well that's kind of hard to do when they never ship you the product. The website lists the item as IN STOCK and has continued to list the item as IN STOCK throughout the entire month of December.
I called their Customer Service department (1-***-***-****) which referred me to their rebate department. I was assured the rebate would be honored regardless of the postmark date. Luckily I checked my email because that assurance was later retracted via email. They refuse to extend the postmark date eventhough they are the cause of delay.
They bait you with a rebate offer and then renege on the offer wasting your time. I don't know why they made the offer knowing full well that they never intended to keep to their terms in the first place. Why have a one day rebate when they know that have no stock?
Save yourselves untold frustration and deal with a reputable organization like Amazon. FYE's customer service is the pits and I'll never do business with them again.

Update - 2 days after cancelling my order I receive an email telling me my order has been shipped! I received the package today. One slight problem is the packing slip that needs to go in with the rebate has the wrong order date on it. I'll submit it anyway and see what they do."

I ordered a "Die Hard: The Ultimate Collection" DVD set 3 weeks ago when it is in stock, and was told since then it is out of stock. And yet on their regular sale web site says it is "In Stock", "BUY NOW".
According to fye, their web site is updated every 24 hours. And yet when I called the customer service the lady says the web site is not up-to-date and her record shows they don't have the DVD set in stock.
And yes, they don't provide customer service phone number on their web site. It is up to you to goggle it trying to find out what number to call (1-***-***-****).
Overall experience: very unsatisfied. Will never buy from them again."
"Scammed by this company doesn't begin to describe the frustration I feel when dealing with FYE.com. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM no matter how good the deal seems. I purchased a DVD set that advertised as on special for the day (even had an annoying popup come up on the screen when I navigated to the site). My card was charged for the full retail price. Bait and switch at it's finest. When I tried to contact customer support I got a cookie cutter response that basically attempted to brush me aside. HERE IS THE RED FLAG FOR YOU: THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT ANYONE LIVE. Customer support is probably some teenager sitting at a single computer typing furiously to respond to hundreds of angry emails received every day. STAY AWAY!!!"
"Pre ordered a music CD 18 days before the release date. One day after the release date I inquired why it had not shipped. (CD in local stores at this point). Response from the company was prompt and they stated "item was delayed in the fulfillment process". What the heck does that mean? Why are they advertising a product they don't have in stock? Did not have an estimated arrival time either. Not happy. cancelled. *UPDATE* After THREE requests not to send package because I cancelled they sent it anyway AND billed my Credit card after they said they wouldn't!! Dealing with "customer support" over e-mail because there is no phone number to be found for this company. Should have been a red flag. DO NOT DEAL WITH COMPANIES THAT DON'T HAVE PHONE NUMBERS!!!! Will keep you posted on when i get my card credited. *UPDATE* After refusing shipment and waiting 10 days I inquired why my acount was not credited. Finally got a response and my account was credited. I think this Company needs to get it together. #1 have "real time" order status. My order was received and a day later i got an e-mail stating it was shipped. The on line order status was showing I cancelled. #2 Have a phone number where an actual person can be reached. Only have e-mail support. #3 if the order was "not available" they should have given me an ETA on when it was going to be available. Everything worked out in the end and i give credit to FYE for doing what was right but I doubt I would ever use them again after this experience."
"Ordered a video game for my son. They shipped me an empty cardboard box (no signs of any tampering). No game, no case, nothing but an advertising flyer inside. Two weeks later they sent me a replacement. Then they denied my rebate because they said I did not send in the original UPC, which I did. After five months, several calls and letters with copies of my documentation (at their request)they have still not sent me my rebate. Will never do business there again! After initially placing my order, I did see that they have had rebate denial issues in the past. This place just reeks of fraud."
"I ordered online. Because of poor product discription, I ordered the book-on-tape instead of the book. I followed their policy for a return, and never received my shipping label. After a MONTH, I finally got a number to call from a FYE store (the website will only deal with customers via e-mail). I called on a Sunday, they were closed. I called on a Monday, they were disconnected. I finally returned the product to the nearest store (several towns over) but they cannot refund the shipping charges. I'm still battling for them, but I doubt it will ever happen."

I thought I had signed up for their product replacement program, but the website had failed to mention that the offer was limited to Albany, NY. The issue took 6 months to resolve! The gift card (for half my purchasing amount) they sent me as a peace offering for wasting so much time had never been activated. Customer service nightmare."
"Same rip as other users. $20 rebate was denied and supervisors at Trans World wouldn't budge and were very rude. As others stated too, I was very unhappy that I didn't receive the game for 11 days after it's release date so rebate issue aside, I would never order from Fye.com again, nor would I ever set foot in one of their stores."
"I too have been ripped off from FYE and Trans World on this rebate issue on San Andreas. I called Trans World's rebate # and the guy was telling me that the form clearly states to buy both the Grand Theft Auto Combo Pack and San Andreas, so I wonder what is he talking about as the copy of the form I saved no where indicates to do so. Going back to the rebate link, there you have it, I find out now they had changed the form. This is WAY too late as everything is ordered, shipped, and screwed up. "I also purchased GTA: San Andreas from FYE solely on the fact they offered a $20 rebate. They won't honor the rebate and, as others have described, they changed the rebate form and are not giving us the $20 we all legitimately have coming.
I describe FYE and Trans World Entertainment's business practices as illegal, deceptive, irresponsible, and dirty. To put it simply, don't give them your business because they in NO way shape or form deserve it with the way they have treated all us GTA: SA customers.
Oh, and the icing on the cake was that FYE was slow to ship the game out to me. I pre-ordered on 10/19, the game shipped 10/28 when it was released by Rockstar on 10/26, and I received it 11/02!!"

"Seems many people got tricked with the rebate of GTA: san andreas. I purchased the game off their web site where it mislead me into thinking that if I bought San Andreas, they had a link right their to the rebate. Also the Rebate Title says "$20 GTA Rebate, With the purchase of GTA San Andreas" and does not imply that you have to buy both. I just got off the phone with the rebate center that denied it (transworld) and "Debbie" was the rep i talked to and she said that they hold the right to qualify them or not. I will never buy from FYE again. To misleading."
