"I am impressed with the tool kits available from iFixit. Professional quality throughout. The breath of tool tips is amazing, and packaged in their own plastic tool chests.
I now own three different tool sets, and I am totally happy with them.
A must for any hobbyist or maker."
"I received the product as promised, but it doesn't function as advertised. The piece of the audio cable remains lodged. The product is overpriced even if it had worked. "
"So, I went into this repair thinking that my camera was busted. I didn't do any research, just did what my gut told me. Turns out that the camera was fine, the lens was just broken and is a completely separate part. They don't really mention that, but you can kind of tell once you go through the build. I now have a spare camera incase I break my current one when I'm replacing my lens. A little more money than I wanted to spend though, especially considering you can replace the lens without opening the phone and potentially breaking something inside. I'm giving them five stars because even though I messed up on not doing enough research, this repair kit was extremely easy to follow and I broke nothing and I'm super thankful for the minute details. They even made sure that I could repair the water resistant gasket without any additional cost, just standard. Very nice detail."
"This time it was just getting some adhesive remover, which by the way made removing my MacBook Pro battery much easier, but really great company. By stuff from them and support fixing your own stuff :)"
"So far so good - I am very slow and methodical with projects out of my comfort level so when I finish - I will give you a shout. I want to thank you for being around for us. Without fixit I would be spending $800 to get my usb-c port fixed. It’s a great option for the little guys who kinda know what their doing."
"I've order several products from iFixit for some of my beloved Apple devices and I have managed to repair, replace or upgrade them with relative ease due to excellent service and magnificent online repair guides."
"Easy ordering and tremendous installation instructions. My excellent progress came to a halt because the part didn’t come with necessary replacement adhesive. I don’t remember seeing a notification during the ordering process that replacement adhesive was required. I recommend including it with the battery or at least notifying the customer it’s required somewhere during the ordering process."
"I ordered the items online and there were no hitches up to the time they arrived! "
"From the email promting the product through to the arrival of the tool kits, a totally professional experience.
Many US companies wont ship to New Zealand , “small market who cares”
Not iFixit prompt service and well presented product.
5 stars plus
A customer who will be back!

"There's a degree of trust that the guide will hold up and the part won't let down. iFixIt came through again, this time with a successful diy replacement of my mid-2011 iMac's logic board. They'll again be my first stop when the next repair is needed. A couple things that would have made completely positive:
-When ordering the free shipping option wasn't available and an overly-pricey shipping fee was applied. (Sent a quick email to the company and they did get back the next business day with a fix for the charge.)
-The part does not include a CPU or GPU, but the repair guide shows a new logic board being installed that already has both without mentioning the need to pull up separate guides for the the CPU/GPU transfer from old to new board. This left me scrambling on the day of repair to try and locally find thermal paste that I didn't know was needed at the time of order.
"
"This repair was super easy due to the in depth guide given from iFixit. It goes without saying I’ll continue to use them for future needs. "
"I first brought my I-Pad to Batteries Plus, 6 weeks later & the battery was still not replaced. I ordered a battery and repair kit on Thursday evening from ifixit. The package arrived on Monday, and with the easy to follow steps, I was able to fix it myself. Thank you "
"I don't really have a need for these right now, but had to have it. Delivery was quick. Quality is very good. "
"Fantastic customer service and a great product."
"I really like the products that iFixit puts out. I really do. But the shipping is the absolute slowest of any technology company I've dealt with.
Even when I get 2-Day Priority shipping at checkout, it often still take me between 9-13 days to get an item. If I'm ordering tools for myself, this isn't a huge issue. When I'm ordering parts for a customer, well, tell me, are your customers willing to wait as long as 13 days for a part to come in? Mine don't, and would much rather go to someone who has parts in stock to get it fixed, or just warranty their phone. Oftentimes, they can send their phone in and get a replacement well before my part even comes in, leaving me with parts that will take a long time to use, if I ever actually get the chance. Of course, there are options to purchase faster shipping (because 2-Day apparently isn't quick enough), but at price-gouging rates. Nobody is willing to pay $20 for shipping on a single part so that FedEx can deliver it 3-5 days later.
Like I said, I really really like the products that iFixit puts out. The tools are high quality, and many of them will last a lifetime. Honestly, a little on the expensive side for most things, but I'm ok with that since it's quality stuff. Even the parts are higher quality than most other vendors put out, and I often go to iFixit when my usual sources have questionable looking parts available.
But, like I said, getting parts in a timely manner is near impossible, and I can't really trust them to get to me in time. Customers won't wait. They're happier going to the Apple, Microsoft, Verizon, etc. store and paying 2-3x as much so that they can get a fix quickly. If we can somehow work on shipping times, iFixit would often be my go-to source for parts and tools. When I need something quick, though, I don't feel that it's reliable enough to get the job done."
