"Took out my old battery that still worked but did not have great battery life. Put this one in and it didnt work or accept a charge.
I put the old one back in.

Update:
After contacting support by just replying to my order email. They sent out a replacement battery immediately. The new battery works great.

"My Surface Pro 7's battery died last year and I had to replace it through iFixit. Despite it being a "very difficult" rated fix, I managed with the great instructions and my tablet was good as new! Unfortunately that replacement ended up having the same issue not 9 months later.
iFixit sent me another new battery and the replacement consumables for the fix (adhesives, thermal paste, etc) and I simply followed the instructions again. Hopefully this battery will last longer (I don't hold the battery quality against iFixit, clearly it's an issue on Microsoft's end) but if it doesn't, I know who has my back if I need another one again! "I purchased a replacement MX 3 battery and opted to get their installation tool kit so I would have the correct tools that they showed using to eliminate any issues. I just installed the battery and the screwdriver I purchased as part of their “installation tools” was too short to reach the one of the screws (step #5 - bottom Philips screw). Also the tweezers that was part of the toolkit bent when removing the battery connector (when used as shown in the instructions at step # 11). Extremely disappointed that I could have saved $20 from buying these subpar tools. Hopefully the battery is a better experience. "
