"I was very nervous to fix the broken screen on my husband's steam deck, but this kit and guide made it so very painless. Didn't take too long!"
"Excellent! Fast shipping. High quality products. Easy to follow instructions and everything worked great! Thank you ifixit!

"First off, I want to preface this by saying, I think iFixit is a great site with great products. The shipping on my product was faster than expected, they provide all the tools the customer will need for installation, and they have great customer service. Unfortunately, the product I ordered (DualShock 4 CHU-ZCT2U Motherboard Replacement) was faulty. The right joystick works but requires a high amount of pressure to activate the L3 button. I am aware that this product was refurbished and that there may be issues. Although, that is what the QA team is for. So, for anyone purchasing any of these items make sure to thoroughly test them yourselves before completely reassembling your device."
"The screen and rebuild kit were top notch. However..... You'll still need a certified google technician to get your finger print scanner to work. The software will not recognize the new as original. You will have to factory reset the phone (make sure to backup!!) and download the software to set up properly. But the issue is the finger print scanner, at that part of the setup a message pops up telling up that the scanner is not currently set up and to bring to a google certified technician. Otherwise everything else went and works mint! Looks and feels like its a band new phone again!"
"Screen replacement process was straightforward and headache free. 3rd party solutions can sometimes be hit or miss. This one is a hit. If you need a screen replacement you can order with confidence.
Only small critique I might add is in the screen installation instructions. The step where you will be reattaching the ribbon connecter on the screen to the housing on the deck calls for the white line to be flush with the housing. In reality there will be a small but defined gap between the two. You can even see this gap in the instructional image"
"Paid for next day shipping and it’s been 3 days already and haven’t received my order. I have also reached out to customer service and no response from them "
"When getting the screen, it was defective submitted a support to get another ds not receive no reply. STILL WAITING "
"MacBook Air M1 2020 would not charge or run while connected to wall charger. This was a super easy fix! The replacement part, tool kit, tax and shipping total was ~ $50. Removal and installation took about 30 minutes (followed instructions shown in YouTube video). Both Thunderbolt connections were discolored/ corroded; no wonder they wouldn’t connect power to the battery. Thanks iFIXIT"
"Shortly after getting my steam deck my puppy chewed up my charger and nothing charges fast enough except a brand charger. This charger was the perfect replacement and is steam branded so I trust it."
"The 2 joysticks I ordered arrived within 1 business day of placing the order. They came in anti static bags, and double wrapped for protection, which was much appreciated. The guides helped me to install them really fast, and they function perfectly after installation."
"This was my first time needing to repair a phone, and every part of using ifixit was worth it.
The new genuine screen for my Pixel 8 Pro was in perfect condition, and even had a backup layer of adhesive in case I messed it up the first time.
The toolkit was absolutely necessary (at least for me since I didn't have any separator picks) and the warming tube for loosening the adhesive worked like a charm.
There were a few gotchas that were very well detailed in the ifixit directions which made the process VERY easy to follow and kept me on the right track. I would have been confused at a couple points without the in-depth steps."
"I have 0 experience, and i was able to repair my Nintendo switch all by myself using your tools and instructions! thank you! "
"Exactly as advertised. I was able swap out while following a video with no issues. Shipping was also faster than expected.
5/5 stars "
"My phone is 5 years old. Time for a new battery. Instructions were excellent and easy to follow. Pictures with closeups great. Only thing that was a little difficult was plugging in the digitizer and display cables. They are tiny ! Anyway, I was a little nervous starting but you'll get through it. Thanks."
"I read several reviews and YouTube videos on how to swap out my older MacBook Pro batteries. A few years ago I had installed a new hard drive and therefore had at least a little understanding of the job I was contemplating. The hardest part was deciding on the correct battery pack from the many different choices. Luckily I had on hand the proper tool to fit the screws and remove the bottom cover of the computer. The battery identification number was clearly printed on the battery itself and I was satisfied I was ordering the correct battery pack (the one iFixit indicated was correct from my MacBook Pro "About this Mac"). The battery pack and tool kit arrived in less than a week via USMail.
As an aside, I had been having issues with the trackpad of the computer not indenting (when pushed) and the Magic Mouse going crazy, jumping around the screen, etc. I now believe that was due to the old batteries being severely swollen to the point they were exerting significant pressure on the back of the trackpad touch plate, preventing it from working properly and causing a conflict with the mouse. This issue resolved itself when the new batteries were installed.
I did not follow all of the extensive instructions in the iFixit tutorial. I had seen a different video explaining and showing how to skip the removal of all of the internal computer parts except the glued in battery pack itself. I merely tilted the computer so any of the glue dissolving liquid (I used it carefully and sparingly) would remain at the battery compartment. I then used the various flat plastic cards and tools to carefully wedge and pry the battery pack slowly, one section at a time, from the aluminum frame of the computer, starting at each side and working toward the middle. I worked slowly, but it only required maybe 10 minutes to remove the battery pack. I used the dissolving liquid and towel provided to remove the glue residue from the backside of the touchpad and the frame, installed the new battery pack, replaced the bottom cover, and fired up the computer. The computer started normally, worked perfectly, and my trackpad once again detents and functions as it should. Couldn't be happier. The entire process took less than 30 minutes, working very carefully. This morning my new battery pack was fully charged and I am typing this review using the MacBook. Thank you for helping me revive this older machine. I anticipate many more years of additional service.
