"Replacing my iphone 6 battery was a breeze. Simple to follow on-line instructions, with excellent pictures, made the process go smoothly. Thank you iFixit for being there! Brought back to life my old iphone 6 to be repurposed."
"I ordered to use digitizer i was kind of
Skeptical to be honest I was worried maybe it would have issues but it was I impressed when I installed it and boom! It worked i also ordered with the stickers to "glue" the screen down . Everything worked perfect I would ordered from them again for sure 100%."
"iFixit used to sell genuine Apple/Mac laptop replacement batteries that lasted years. I just ordered a new MacBook Pro replacement battery and it is Garbage! It appears to be a very overpriced aftermarket battery that I could have ordered from Amazon for $20.
Super disappointed! "
"Ordering, shipping and part quality was excellent. The watch parts included were the new battery, touch force gasket and two new adhesive seals, plus excellent tools neeed to complete the job. The instructions and photos were quite good. The original battery in my watch had swollen, causing the screen to pop off, so it was very easy to remove the screen. In my situation, it appeared that the touch force gasket was not damaged. I don't believe this scenario was covered in the instuctions. The instructions assumed the touch force gasket would most likely be damaged and would need replacement.
Based on a comment by a previous customer review, I realized since my touch force gasket appeared undamaged, that I could avoid removing the screen. This meant I could avoid the removal and replacement of the two screen connectors and their cover, which is the most delicate and dangerous part of the job! I simply skipped these delicate steps and instead just replaced the battery. I then held the screen down and tested the watch. The battery already was charged, and the watch powered up and seemed to work fine. So I proceeded to install one of the new screen adhesives by carefully working it over the screen. Then I pressed the screen down to make the initial adhesive contact. I then heated to screen a bit with the iOpener, thinking this would help soften the adhesive for better adhesion, then I placed a can of beans on it (haha - high tech) to weigh it down until it cooled. This method worked great.
So the missing scenario in the instructions, was how to proceed if your touch force sensor was undamaged. I think it would be helpful to include this, as it makes the job so much easier and much less dangerous.

"Fixing iPhone 6s
The project went very easy to fix the videos are so helpful the gasket to seal the phone is quite difficult"
"The battery never worked even though I followed the whole instruction to replace the battery. Now my macbook pro have to be connected all the time and it keeps saying battery is not charging. I even reset the smc module."
"Thank you so much! We received it on time and my husband loved it!"
"Great screen repair kit including every tool you need to fix an iPhone X. The only thing that did not work was the suction cups. I used some VSB tape from an old GoPro mount to help lift the screen away from the phone body. After replacement, the phone works perfectly including Face ID and long press. The kit was more expensive than generic Amazon kit, but most of those kits were not OLED screen replacement and a new used phone was 2.5x more at the time of repair. Would buy again!"
"Didn't bother with the removal of the speakers. Instead I just tilted the device toward the battery end, to ensure no solvent ran in the direction of the speakers. Worked perfectly. My old batteries were puffy and expanding the case. I was very concerned about using any strong force to remove them. But the solvent is very good. With patience, and a bit of slow gentle leverage they come out with no drama. Battery life is better than it was when new. Easy peasy."
"After watching an iFixit tutorial on how to change out a MacBook Air battery, I ordered one from iFixit. It took me less than 20 minutes to install my replacement battery and now I can unplug my charger without fear!"
"I received my Pixel 2 OLED/Screen replacement kit this afternoon. Once I got the old screen/oled panel removed, I plugged in my new oled panel, booted on the phone and all im getting is white static noise. Removed connecter to check all the pins on the board and on the connector, no bent or broken pins. I think my oled panel is dead on arrival.
How would I go about getting a replacement sent to me, and sending the one I received back to you guys?
I am a Biomedical Engineer and really need my phone.
Please contact me as soon as possible. "
"Great tools, high-quality tools. expensive but well worth it, we just need to keep an eye on them."
"The Gerstner Toolbox is beautiful. It really looks nice on my desk. It’s too small for most of my tools so I use it with my Raspberry Pi gadgets and wires. Perfect for that. I have one like it in my garage, for the machinist items, except it is about 3 times bigger. Shipping was fast. I was amazed. The packaging was intense. Took me 20 minutes just to get it out of the box with all the styrofoam and packing. The only thing I added was felt feet so it wouldn’t scratch the new finish on my desk. Gorgeous addition to my collection."
"It looks like the dry erase marker arrived without a cap. So the marker was useless!
I need to go find another one that is small enough to fit in the case to carry.
I really wish the quality assurance team had tested this shipment but I guess mistakes can happen."
"Ifixit's website is great, with clear and concise directions for repairing your phone. I had to repair my Pixel 3 rear camera and I probably couldn't have done it without the instructions here.
The parts that I ordered arrived in a timely manner, however the rear panel sticker that I ordered was oversized and not for my model phone even though it was labeled for the Pixel 3. That's the only reason for me giving a 4 star here.
Besides the small error, I would definitely buy from ifixit again for anything related to fixing phones!"
