It took me about 40 minutes to set up - needed a little help with the door as the glass was heavy but not difficult at all. I had one issue in that a speaker was not working. "I have suffered from chronic pain for over a decade now, and my husband and I had been thinking of getting an infrared sauna for several years. We had put off the purchase due to the expense, most saunas available at the time needed special wiring, and the fact that most of them were made out of cedar (severe allergy). I just happened to come across the Joyous 2 person sauna in hemlock one day on Amazon. Not only did it seem to be the solution to the cedar issue, but it could plug into a regular household outlet—and the low price was absolutely unbelievable!

I had a bit of a run-around with Amazon and ended up canceling my order with them and ordered straight from JNH. I cannot rave about the customer service enough! From the very first call (when I was still very upset with Amazon) to the call about what to do on delivery day, every person at JNH has been an absolute joy to work with!

Even with my back issues, my husband and I were able to get the boxes into the house (box #2 is the heaviest!), and had the sauna assembled and going in under 90 minutes. We loved how simple it was to just latch everything together!

We've now had the sauna for about 2 weeks and use it daily. It has already given significant relief for my daily pain levels, even if I don't use it at "therapeutic" temperatures every day. My husband uses it to relax in the evening and to reduce soreness from his running. My 12 year old son will go in for about 10-15 minutes before bed because it allows him to relax and fall asleep easily. We’ll even go in after being out in the cold, set it to 85, and just warm up. It doesn't heat up the room that it's in, which is a bonus--we'll be able to use it in the summer if needed without overheating the house.

Overall, it's a wonderful sauna. It's easy to use, quick to heat up (about 12 minutes to get to 104 in a 63 degree room), will be easy to move if needed, and the customer service was outstanding. I'd give the entire experience 10 stars if I could!

"I was driving 30 minutes 2-3 times a week to a medical center with a infrared sauna to detox from heavy metals and toxins. I can't afford to chelate so this was more affordable; they were charging $40/visit for sauna . We bought this a couple of months ago. I sweat just as much in this as I did in heir higher-end sauna. It heats up to 125 degrees (where I sweat the most) in about 15 minutes. My husbands likes it higher and that takes a little longer to heat up. He put it together (with my supervision; I read directions :-) ) in about an hour and a half. He had a little trouble getting the large sides/back/front square and had to use a rubber mallet.
Looks great, feels great and saving money in the long run. We ordered the lift gate service and were thankful for that. They put in our garage and we carried it inside. Shipping was quick. Thankful for this sauna so I can detox at home and save money in the long run."

"We purchased the Joyous 2 person sauna. If you're looking for a healthy sweat then this sauna does the trick. We really just use if for one adult at a time or an adult plus kid. The seven heaters envelope you on all sides. The unit was really easy to assemble. I did most of it alone except for the glass front due to the weight. Once on the sauna heats up quickly and will have you sweating in about 20 minutes. I definitely sweat as much if not more with the infrared sauna versus the standard sauna at the health club. Plus I avoid the nastiness of the health club sauna. All in all we're pleased with the product, value and new convenience of this sauna."

We have used about 4 times so far. We set the temperature to 130 and preheat for about 20mins before sitting in. It took about another 20 minutes to make us sweat. But when it did, it really made us sweat a lot! "
