"Mailbox is great for our rural application. The only problem was there were no bolts included to secure the mail box to the post. Bolts should have been included with the post purchase.

"I purchased a Rural Mailbox with single mount Deluxe Post kit knowing I would be modifying it to mount in-line like the no longer available Decorative Post kit. The process is straightforward but I don't recommend doing this unless you have metal working skills and equipment. My reason for doing this is I live in snow country and here you want your post as far from the curb as possible. The box, post, hinge and flag assembly are indeed aluminum or stainless steel. However mounting bolts are zinc plated steel and will eventually rust. Also, the mailbox finish has a heavy pebbled finish (orange peel) so it is unlikely you will find peel and stick numbers that will adhere for the long haul. The post is a bit smoother. In spite of these issues, the mailbox and post are very good products and I expect them to look good for a long time. A few tweaks and they could be truly great products. "
