"Well Monoprice has just lost a large Canadian account and accounts with partners due to overpricing Shipping to Canada. Charging a fee of 35.00 usd for shipping and then expecting customers to pay waybills and customs into Canada is far fetched and using a company like DHL to boot. for a 28.00 USD charge it cost 55.00 USD to ship to Canada. To all Canadian companies, please refuse to do business with this company for any computer or electronics they may have a good price point but their shipping costs out weigh the product pricing. Use Linhawstore.com instead pricing is in CAD but shipping is 1/10th the cost."

I ordered several items (including hover board) which were supposed to be a holiday present for my kids. I placed the order, paid with Paypal; made sure that the payment went through. The next day Paypal emailed me that the payment was reversed. Zero notice from Monoprice. Email Monoprice. Fast forward through weekend I called Paypal, they confirmed that the payment was in fact reversed by Monoprice. Two days later I got email from Monoprice with the header "Issue resolved", which stated that they had nothing to do with payment cancellation. Called them, hoped to reorder with expedited shipment - zero cooperation. In a nutshell it sounded like "you got your money back, now go @please yourself" (not the actual words).
Bottom line: holidays are gone, no presents thanks to Monoprice. "

I Purchased a 5 watt single ended 6v6 Tube Guitar Amplifier for a hundred bucks!
This is a Tube guitar amp for $100!!! Ok I got a special deal off the regular price of $112 but still a tube guitar amp for that amount just doesnt happen..... or does it? It does at Monoprice.

I like to build my own amps as a hobby and for most all musician amp builder hobbyists this is the basic amp you build first. Well, if you gutted this amp for parts and put in your own turret board you would still be WAYyyyyy Ahead of the game as this amp gives ya the iron, the chassis, the cab, even the speaker and tubes for less than ya can get the components anywhere else. I was gonna part out this amp but decided why bother because it works good and is nice and ultra quiet to boot! I removed the NFB loop to make the amp much more touch sensitive and it sounds great with nice loose bright jangle but no icepick .
Now I am wondering about those $89 guitars now??? No way? Maybe?"

Had to open up a case with Paypal since Monoprice wasn't refunding my money despite them having received the item back (the second time) two weeks prior. Monoprice never responded to emails through Paypal. Had to escalate for Paypal to review. Monoprice was given 10 days to respond. They did not. Luckily, Paypal is returning my funds. I just hope Paypal is indeed getting the funds back from Monoprice as the only fault of Paypal is not choosing their vendor partnerships better.

Used to be a long time Monoprice customer but they'll never get my business again. Ordered the wrong speaker kit and attempted to cancel the order moments later. Monoprice doesn't allow cancelling orders despite the item having not shipped yet. I refused the package so I would not have to pay for return shipping. I contacted Monoprice giving them a heads up. Was assured a refund would be issued once the item was received. Tracking showed received and I emailed CSR to obtain confirmation. They confirmed and noted a refund would be seen in 3-5 business days. A few days later the package is back at my doorstep. Called Monoprice and CSR tried to tell me I ordered it a second time and would not take blame after I explained all that had happened. All she could say was to bring it to UPS and they will process a return once received, Drove it to the UPS facility and refused it again. They've now had it back in their possession for two weeks and still no refund. Opened a Paypal dispute last week and no response from Monoprice so far. They should have owned up to their mistake and started processing my return once the tracking number showed as being refused the second time. The customer shouldn't be paying for their mistake. Their customer service is truly lacking. I will no longer be giving them my business, and will no longer refer others to them."

"I ordered a B-Stock Guitar from them which according to the description states.
Our B-Stock guitars are guaranteed to perform as well as our new guitars, including the same full set-up process. The only difference is that our B-Stock guitars have cosmetic blemishes, which may include dents, scratches, chips.
I received and returned 3 guitars, that's 3 trips to UPS because of guitars that had buzzing on several frets, intonation problem causing tuning problems, tremolo bar not working, string actin triple the normal height, pick ups no set properly.
The blemishes is what they call it, what I got was guitars with large areas of missing paint and a clear coat over that area. Large cracks, the last one was 3 inches long an a mm wide."
"I used to be a hardcore Monoprice Supporter. Now I need to tell everyone to stay away. Their RMA process is impossible to navigate, and is horribly slow. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a product that is in stock and very common (iPhone charging cable).
I also had a small connector that I took out of the packaging and it fell apart. There is no option to get a replacement.
They used to be amazing. Their prices are great. Their service is terrible. The products now are no longer reliable.
It's a shame that Monoprice used to be a hidden gem that I told everyone about. Now everyone needs to stay away.
Oh, and their website is awful."
