Good products, good pricing, bad shipping

"Good products at a great price...but the shipping/tracking kinda ****. I've got an order that says it is out for delivery today...yet its location, as of last night, is about a thousand miles away. Probably won't actually arrive for a few more days. I realize Monoprice is just getting this information from FedEx, and this is what FedEx does for every single package every single time...but maybe Monoprice shouldn't contract with the slowest and least reliable of the three major carriers...maybe they should contract with someone who doesn't think lying to your customers on every single transaction is good business!"

Sent incorrectly described item and want me to pay for return shipping

"Although the order was shipped fast, I ordered two subwoofer CL2 in-wall rated cables for a new construction as CL2 is required by code here.
They sent me unmarked cables (ie no markings on the cable to say these are CL2 rated cables which the inspector won 't pass) and now they expect me to pay for return shipping. Just typical cheap Chinese made junk cables. I could have bought off Amazon fior cheaper if I wanted junk cables.
Beware of Monoprice markings (or lack of) on cables.
I was let to believe from AV forums that Monoprice was a quality place to shop - but I disagree.

flat out liars

"When I ordered it said it was in stock. It never shipped. Contacted cust service. Got a line "our goal is to ship it in 24-48 hours but that's not a guarantee." 3x I was told this line. Asked for an estimate. Same answer. Told the last person to cancel my order because I don't believe they actually have it. Finally something updated on my order and surprise surprise, out of stock and nobody would tell me that. They kept giving me that lie. You can tell it's a lie or what they call "creative truth" when they all give the same answer and refuse to help you. If you can't just give me an estimate or have the decency to admit that it's out of stock you can forget my business. "

Ordered in stock on 3-14 they canceled on 3-27 out of stock

"Ordered on 3-14 in stock confirmed, money taken from my credit card. On 3-22 sent a email to monoprice help desk. Was advised that my order should be processed in 24 to 48 hours. 3-27 I received notice that the item I wanted is out of stock till October. And my order was canceled and I should get a refund in 3-5 business days. They take the money right away but can't give it back right away so they will have had my money from 3-14 to about 4-3. 15 business days or little over three weeks.
I will never use this company again.

Poor service

"Promise to ship same day is BS. Ordered on March 17 and still not shipped on March 24. Called customer service to get update and the rep didn't speak clear english and the call audio was poor. Sure, you can outsource customer service overseas to save money and increase profits, forcing your customers to put up with inadequate service, but that's a flawed business model."

"A week after placing my order on an item that originally said "in stock", the item has yet to ship. In the past, Monoprice has always been efficient with quality products. Such no longer appears to be the case. "

Used to be great, service is now terrible.

"This is a company that used to be amazing. Great products, great prices, great service.
Now, nope. Orders take forever to ship, if they ship at all. I've had an order that even customer service directly claimed it had been shipped and was going to be delivered two days ago. The tracking still only says 'label created'.
When trying to contact them for support it takes days for them to respond as well.
Their prices are still ok, if you can find they actually have the item in stock. Been waiting on things to be restocked for weeks.

The delivered package mentioned in their reply is package 1 of 2. Package 2 of 2 still has a status of 'label created' and has not been shipped.
