I have call several times to the total free phone that appears in their web site, in all opportunities I have to wait for 10 minutes for somebody to answer the phone. I write to their email and the lack of response is astounding. Furthermore, when they answer me, they didn’t know when my package is going to arrive, the tracking number that they give me is wrong, and all in just 3 words no more “We don’t know yet”, “a few days”, “you have to wait” and obviously, they already charge the total amount on my credit card. "Poor Repair Experience --
My very expensive David Yurman "Navigator" prescription sunglass titanium frames developed a crack in the temple pivot point. Based on Web information and assurances in an email they sent, I authorized a return shipping charge in order to obtain a service number and start the process. After a delay, I received notification that my frames had been examined and could be repaired for a charge of $59.99, which I authorized via return email. I was pleased that the frames could be salvaged and I could avoid the expense of new sunglasses and lenses. After another delay, my frames arrived. To my dismay, nothing had been done, but the $59.99 charge had been applied to my credit card. In a phone call to customer service I was told that I should have received notification that the repair could not be made and that I would not be charged. They assured me that the charge would be credited, which it eventually was. However, I wanted to understand why the Website stated (3 different places) that they do repair titanium frames using a technique called micro welding. Several emails to/from "Becky S" in customer resulted in only curt responses that I had received an explanation ("We could not solder titnium"). Requests to forward my request to someone in authority were ignored and requests that my shipping charge be refunded were ignored. I will be disputing the shipping charge with my credit company. In summary, I believe that their website is misleading, which may indicate that other claims by them are equally inaccurate. I was deeply disappointed with this whole experience. Please save yourself trouble by avoiding this firm."
"Terrible experience.... It has been 3 weeks now since I ordered my glass frames and still no sign of them. Ordered them 3 weeks ago and used the 2 day shipping. Recieved and email the next day with a statement that they would ship in 72 hours or less. When I spoke with customer service they assured me they had arrived and would pack up and ship ASAP so I would get them before heading off in holidays. Well, the day I was meant to leave for holidays I called to see what was up and they still had not shipped?!? Home now after a couple weeks without glasses and guess what? Still not here. Appearantly they shipped yesterday. Not so fast and not one person I emailed with or spoke to bothered to explain what was going on. All I can say is I will never order through this company again."
