"I traded in my G4 tower following the excellent instructions provided by Gary Mead. The credit came through as promised and the process was painless. I told Gary I was interested in using the credit toward a new iPad. PowerMax did not have them available as yet, but Gary said he would let me know. On June 3 I received the email and placed the order on the 4th. A week later I had the iPad. I'm a happy customer and have been passing along my recommendations to others in our Mac User Group. My thanks to Gary and all at PowerMax."

"I have purchased from many online and brick and mortar stores, PowerMax is heads and shoulders above the rest. Their attention to personal support for their customers is rare, refreshing, and simply the best. I recently ordered a new laptop as well as several other items from PowerMax. My orders were all immediately acknowledged, tracking info was given to me, and they all arrived on time. Questions regarding hardware and software were answered by the folks at PowerMax and they honestly understood and were able to answer detailed questions other sellers could not. Gary was my sales person and he followed up with me and was very professional and down right friendly. In an age when companies server their customers with automated systems it is refreshing to deal with real people who know what they are doing and who care about every sale. "I have done 3 different trade-in/purchases with Powermax. Each has gone beautifully and that's due to the extraordinary level of customer service. Gary Mead is the individual I have always dealt with. And that's what's most striking. He has been there each and every time, offering prompt and courteous and completely personalized assistance. "Out of all the available places I could have chosen to order my iMac, I chose PowerMax because of the way the whole experience went from my questions, to verifications, follow-ups, decisions, and the final purchase (and shipping).
I may have been able to get what I ordered for slightly less through another vendor (discounts, etc., adding up), but decided to go with PowerMax. The total deal (before, after, sale) was the best, and I am sure I made the best decision. Thank you, all, and thank you, Heidi, in particular for working with me patiently, through my questions. "Heidia(at PowerMax)--
Over the years I have purchased a G3 tower, a 19" color monitor, an old 8100 tower and maybe a couple other items as well. I have been pleased with all my purchases and I WILL continue to return to PowerMax when I need anything MAC. What people forget when they get anything off eBay is that no one stands behind the product like a company that has been doing it for 25 years(like YOU). I HAVE purchased a couple G3 Powerbooks via eBay and had (knock wood) good luck. (But it also could have gone the other way, too!)

"I purchase a BTO(Built To Order)15" MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Due 3GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM from PowerMax on 9/20/2006. I was charged $26.00 shipping despite their claim of free shipping. I traded in another Powerbook the quoted me wholesale for the trade in then "found" things wrong and deducted retail for fixing them. They did the same on another trade in with them. On one of the trade in's they claimed they fixed an item that the trade didn't even have on it.

I am still using the MacBook Pro and I have no complaints about the MacBook Pro.

My big complaint is about their bookkeeping. I was issued a credit for my trade in. I placed my order and paid them the balance they said was owing. Then I started receiving statements each month showing I had a credit. This went on for several months. Then the credit disappeared and then I had a balance. Heidi Wheeler handled the whole transaction. PowerMax then claimed I owed them for an eyeTV which I had purchased. I had always paid them whatever they said I owed when I placed my orders. They then continued to send me a statement with a balance due for at least 18 months, which I never paid.

"This was my first Macbook Pro purchase, and powermax.com made the whole experience great. I received exception customer service from Heidi Wheeler, and halfway through the day I called to make a change to the order and it was no problem, then 5 minutes later I called to change it back and still not a problem and the item still shipped on time, I should have it in a couple days. NO sales tax and Free shipping can't be beat. later in the day I was at microcenter and the guy there was too busy to help somone and since she was trying to decide between a MBP and a MB I helped and I told her where to get a better price, whether it was for the newley announced MBP or the older one. I decided it would be better ti go with the older one so I ordered before the site was updated, and they didn't put anything through until they first changed the prices. totally great experience."
