Delays in delivery, didn't make the product that was ordered, and HORRIBLE customer service

"I ordered a set of bar stools on November 20 online from Restaurant Furniture Supply. They sent a confirmation several days later with the correct finish that I ordered and the correct style. The order confirmation they sent back had slightly different wording on the description, but looked correct. (Mahogony chairs, x-back, etc.) Then there was a delay in shipping, and they said they'd be done by 12/20. Then there was ANOTHER delay and said they'd be shipped by 1/20. I received them on 1/27 - TWO MONTHS after the order. And, much to my dismay, they are COMPLETELY the wrong product. They miskeyed what I ordered online (which I have an email receipt of). Customer service REFUSED to acknowledge that this was their issue, refusing to pay for shipment for a return. I offered to buy MORE chairs since I could use the short ones in my establishment as well, but needed more to fill the tables. They refused to offer a discount on future-purchased chairs or shipping. The customer service manager was rude, defensive, and - in short - is absolutely in the wrong profession. Do not do business with this company, unless you are willing to accept delays in product receipt, potentially the wrong product altogether, and hostile "customer service.""

"Their bar stools are really tough. As a venue that gets a lot of traffic, I needed durable bar stools that would be able to stand up to heavy use. These bar stools are very tough and seem like they will last a long time."

"They had a great deal on some patio furniture. The chairs and matching table were made with a synthetic rattan. Couldn't tell the difference between the synthetic and the real thing except this stuff seems much more durable and easy to clean. "

"I was impressed with the excellent customer service I received. I ordered some bar stools & chairs and one of them arrived broken. Instead of giving me the run-around like some other retailers do they picked up the broken chair and sent out a new one right away. It's so nice to find an online retailer you can trust. "

"GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. KEEP ALL EMAILS. Ordered 32 chairs for new restaurant. Was told 2-4 weeks. Product showed up in 7 weeks and the vinyl seats were the wrong color. We called to refuse shipment and they told us to keep the chairs and they would look into it and fix the problem. No solution 1-Year later, still wrong color and they said it I don't like it, to return the chairs in the original packaging, which is no longer available after 11 months.. These people are rude and deceitful, they will do everything they can not to fix a problem if they are in error. "

"BUYER BEWARE. I ordered outside dining furniture, 64 chairs and 11 tables. They arrived about 2 weeks late and just 2 days prior to our opening of the outside dining area. Two of the tables were broken (mounting bolts were broken off that hold the legs in place. However the bigger issue was the 64 chairs. They were only 16 inches wide versus the normal 20+ inches and clearly not "suitable for outside restaurant dining" as described on the web site. No dimensions were provided and now I know why.
I contacted Customer Service and was asked to email a picture of the chairs with a ruler so they could see how small they were. I did so, and was then told the return was authorized and I would not be charged any restocking fee. I then spent $1,000 on return freight and have been waiting for my refund. To date, my account does not show any refund and today, about 1 month since the return, I was told they did issue me a 65% credit but kept 35% as a restocking fee. Needless to say, I will never buy from this outfit again.

"DON'T DO IT!

I ordered FIVE tables from them. They said the order would take 7-14 days. It took 32! I called numerous times and emailed and never got a response from them, nor an apology for the long wait or lack of communication.

If you have all the time in the world, go ahead and order from them. You'll be happy with their product. But if you run a business like I do and actually rely on the time length given, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

"We ordered some bar furniture on 11/15/2012. The page says the usual ship time is 7-14 days. The first week of December, we called to find out the status (after 2 weeks) and was told they would ship that week. They did not. Another 10 days went by and we called again, and was told they had not shipped but would ship the following business day. They did not. We then sent an email asking to cancel the order which they did not. They finally shipped the order 7 weeks later despite us canceling, and would not do anything about it.

We don't want the order anymore, and we just want our money back for goods we have not received. $1100. Shouldn't be a big deal. We understand backorders and delays, but we were flat out lied to --TWICE-- by their customer service reps.

"This is my 3rd order with this company. Before I ordered from Restaurant Furniture Supply I had a few bad experiences with other companies - I ordered 50 chairs from a company in Brooklyn and it took them 5 months to deliver.

With Restaurant Furniture Supply everything flows. The order process is easy, customer service is great and the merchandise is excellent. Great value for the money.

"PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING FROM THIS MERCHANT! I placed an order for 58 chairs on 8/27/12 with an estimated shipment date of 14 days. However, my package was not sent to me. I called looking for a manager but was told none was available and that one would call me the next day. No phone call, just an email saying sorry someone would call you back. Then, I finally received my package but 5 chairs were missing. I called back to discuss the issue and finally called enough to speak with the owner of the company. Instead of helping me get my furniture, I got called a "pinche bendejo", a spanish profanity, as he yelled that I would get a refund on 4 chairs, although I was missing 5, and that I had to pay for the shipping. Please DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR if you value good service and just simple human courtesy."
