I found the website a little bit cumbersome when applying for the insurance. As it turned out, I needed the insurance as my trip was canceled due to inclement weather. The process of making a claim was fairly straightforward and I received full payment without any difficulties."

"Yes, It is an unprecedented pandemic. Understood. It took them months to return a little over $100 out of a $184 refund request on a $1400 round trip ticket in which the airline returned all but the $184. We had to submit the same documentation multiple times. We know it seems trivial but their response was awful. So at the end the keep the $85 fee which included pre pandemic payment for any reason up charge and then only return 75% of the remaining amount. In other words we barely got back the fee we paid much less the remaining cost of the cancelled ticket. Insurance like this is a scam."

Anytime I submitted documentation they told me I’d have to wait another 8 weeks for a reply. Never got a final notice about disposition of my claim filed in March!! "I understand that Covid caused some delays but 13 weeks to respond to a claim is pretty bad. On top of that, they didn’t even process my claim, they simply said that my claim is invalid because of the dates I selected for the policy when I initially purchased it. Their policy is extremely misleading and the fact that they would even allow you to purchase a policy if the dates don’t fit in a particular window (which was almost impossible to understand from their policy description) is fraud. Why allow a customer to purchase an invalid policy? That would be like selling car insurance and saying in the fine print you don’t cover Toyotas from the year 2004, and then selling someone a policy for a 2004 Toyota. I will be taking them to small claims court."

At this rate I assume my claim processing would take 1-2 years."
