"I have used Travelex in the past, and I have asked for reimbursements for problems in different trips. For the most part they have been quite good, and they reimbursed me expenses with little hassle. The only time I had problems was when both my partner and I were insured under the same policy: We had different claims (mine for a delayed flight, his for a need to return to work earlier than expected) but I had to wait until he submitted all the documents for his refund before I could get my refund. Since then, we contract separate policies so that the problem will not happen again. But all together, I trust this company. "
"Tony, a Travelex representative, helped me reschedule coverage due to trip postponement because of Covid-19. He reflected flexibility and understanding in handling my request. I was so impressed that I immediately purchased insurance for a different upcoming trip even though the tour operator for that trip uses/recommends a different company. We have also used Travelex to obtain foreign currency before leaving the US. We also found this very convenient because we did not have to immediately find a currency exchange bureau immediately upon landing in the foreign country."

"I've have used Travelex in the past many times with no problem. When my wife and I travel by air, we take a policy and make the breeder of our two dogs the beneficiary. The new website does not permit that. I called the Help line and was told to get the policy and contact Customer Solutions and they would modify the policy and send me a policy showing the breeder as the beneficiary. I sent an email requesting this change on April 16th. To date, I have received nothing."
"We have used Travelex multiple times in the past because it has good coverage for the cost. We've never needed to file a claim so I cannot comment on their process. Unfortunately, after purchasing this insurance for this trip, I did find a better deal elsewhere so I will be shopping around again the next time we need travel insurance. Hope they are still competitive then!"

"Bought your insurance on two flights scheduled for the Christmas Holidays.. I am 79 years old and when the Government Health Officials recommend you not fly, I thought that was reason enough to cancel. I went through the process, including scanning 11 pages. I was denied due to exclusions that meant that I canceled for no acceptable reason. I was unaware of another policy that could have been purchased that says for ANY reason.. I am extremely disappointed and was planning on meeting my newest great grandchild and now when I do get the vaccine and feel safe, not sure I will have the money to do the trip,
Berkshire Hathaway has been less than caring in my opinion and I would never deal with them in the future.
I see where another customer said that they canceled for the same reason and had no problem.
