" My recent experience with zZounds is not very good. The Taylor guitar I purchased from them arrived in very poor conditon. It had all the characteristics of an acoustic guitar with very dried-out wood. The bow in the neck was so extreme as to render this brand new guitar as unplayable. The wood had shrunk to the point of exposing the edges of the frets up & down the neck. Knowing their propensity for consistant high-quality, I contacted Taylor Guitars. They responded within 3 hours. Though not oblicated to do so, Taylor arranged to have the guitar repaired at a local dealer and agreed to pay for it. zZounds...on the other hand...only responded after sending an email to their CEO, Mark Schoennels. A representative of his office called. He stated that zZounds had addressed my problem by sending an email elucidating my options for a return or refund. This company rep went on to infer that the damge to my new guitar could have "occured in transit". He seemed more interested in covering for zZounds and placting his CEO than providing customer support. Furthermore, his postulation that the damage to my guitar "could have occured in transit" defies the laws of physics. Both Taylor Guitar and their local dealer, Motor City Music offered a more viable explanation, theorizing that zZounds probably does not humidify their New Jersy warehouse. Unlike zZounds, they stepped up to the plate and have offered a solution. The zZounds rep I spoke with did not. A careful & thorough hunt through my email account did not turn up any email they claim sending to this customer. Bottom Line? I was ready to let this whole thing drop until zZounds had the gall to send me 2 emails asking this customer to post a review. They asked...they got."

"The product arrived after 8 days. Two smaller packages floating around inside of a massive box. One end of the larger box had been crushed a bit but the contents were not damaged. Seemed like overkill for the outer box. The delivery from the NV area is extremely slow!!! I have items out of CA come much more quickly 2-3 days UPS, this took over a week."
