"I searched high and low - all over the place for ANY store carrying a Behringer DDX3216 Digital Mixer. I finally ofund 2 in stock at zzsounds music online. I called and gave them my credit card information. I received a letter stating that they couldn't "verify" my bank info so I went down to my bank. Everything was A-OK just perfect so I called zzsounds back. They said it was taken care of and that they would call back if there was another issue (which they never did). SO, when I called them I was treated rudely by a customer service person and then transferred to a manager who told me that they would only keep on running my credit card. Then, he paused and said, "Oh, now I see that there are no more mixers in stick." So, because of their bumbling I can't find this mixer ANYWHERE now and simply won't get one. Thanks, zzsounds...for NOTHING. YOU SUCK! I will make it a point to go out of my way to tell EVERYONE in my musical circle (which spans all over the globe, thank you very much) just how crappy of an experience I had with your inept company. "I recently had a bad experience with ZZounds and will NEVER do business with them. I do not recommend this company.
I recently ordered a laptop cardbus interface by phone. In order to finish an important project in time, I needed the part overnight, and paid for the express shipping. The site said there were two parts left in stock, and after my repeated inquiries, the salesperson assured me that the part was in stock.
The part NEVER came. Only three days later did I receive an impersonal email stating that the part was backordered. When I called the supervisor, he was rude and not apologetic. He basically said: "It happens". Well, in my world (a professional one) it "can't happen". I have taken my business (permanently) elsewhere. AVOID THIS COMPANY. They only make promises!"
"I was unhappy with the software. I understand that Zzounds.com has a policy of not accepting software returns, but I received an RMA from the software manufacturer. They authorized Zzounds.com to accept this return and receive a 100% credit. Zzounds refused to accept this return. I have purchased many items from Zzounds.com, but will not again and I advise that everyone use caution in dealing with this company."

Even though I asked for the standard shipping, I received the order by FedEx two days later even though I'm in Illinois and they are in New Jersey.
All merchandise was wellpacked, unopened, and in good shape. Had questions via email both before and after the order and received a prompt reply (once within 10 minutes) in both cases.
Would definitely buy at ZZounds again."
"I have been looking for a Behringer digital mixer DDX3216 for a while. It had been out of stock everywhere for 3 months.
I noticed it was available again on the zzounds site and a few other companies. Their site said there are 3 in stock and will ship same day, so I decided to place my order.
They took my order, and placed a hard hold on my debit card for the amount of $650. 2 hours after getting the credit card approval they determine that they don't actually have any in stock and list my order as back ordered. I call them to verify since their site (now 6 hours later) still list 3 in stock. They appologize and tell me they will ship as soon as they receive more. Since their last backorder for this product was more than 3 months, I tell them no thanks and tell them to cancel and they do. The item remained listed in stock on their site for 30 more hours.
I then hurry to two of their competitors as they still have a few in stock. I decide I should check my debit card account before buying. This is when I find out that zzounds had approved the purchase against my debit card and now had a 4 day hard hold for the cancelled purchase against my checking account. They should never have approved the purchase until they checked stock.
I called my bank to find out how to remove the hold since no purchase had occurred. My bank tells me the only way they can remove the hold is to get a cancellation faxed from zzounds, since they had created the hold.
I call zzounds and am told that they don't fax over a cancellation, they just wait for the hold to expire. After escalating to a manager and insisting they fax a cancellation, they agree to do it since they had screwed up in the first place.
I call my bank the next day and they tell me that they were never faxed a cancellation. I call zzounds back and they tell me the phone number (which they read back to me) is not a fax number, that it was a personal line. I hang up and call the number and it is a fax number. I call zzounds back, tell them it is a fax and they agree to fax it again. It is now 3.5 days since my order and they still have not faxed a cancellation to my bank. While I've been waiting for zzounds to fulfill their promise and fax a cancellation, their competitors have run out of stock on the mixer.
So thanks to the poor stock system and unfulfilled promises of zzounds, I have been out $650 for 2.5 days and can no longer purchase the product I intended to buy.
I cannot imagine ever shopping with this company again."

Once I had an issue that was a really a manufacturer issue. They apologized and told me how to reach the manufacturer."
"I ordered a part from zzounds main competitor and was shocked to find they sent me a opened box, previously return item. It was nowhere on their site that I would receive a previously owned item. I returned immediately to the site in question and called zzounds to ask their policy on open items. The representative assured me that all open box items are clearly marked on their website. With that piece of mind I placed the order and was pleasantly surprised to find the item arrived next day via ground shipping (I am in NYC) and the item was indeed brand spanking new.
It is needless to say that I am 100% satisfied with zzounds from pricing to customer relations to their products. I am dumping the other site (which I have bought from for years) and switching over."
"I've placed orders with them a half dozen times, and the transactions have always gone smoothly. The site is easy to navigate, they have a terrific selection, and the online status seems accurate -- I've never placed an order that was "in stock" only to find it was actually on backorder.
They pack well, and ship quickly -- often the same day; never more than the next business day, unless the site clearly says that the item is backordered.
I've returned one item, a MIDI interface that didn't play well with my system. They took it back without hassle, and credited my card in a reasonable amount of time (less than 1 week from the day I shipped it, as I remember).
I live in MA, and ground shipping usually takes only one day, so it's often faster to order the product from zZounds than to drive to a local dealer.
My only comnplaint? Their price matching system is slow: it can take up to 36 hours to receive a reply sometimes, and might even require a second request. If you really want an item and have a better price in hand, call them rather than using email."
"I recieved a guitar that had the neck cracked, and have been waiting for some time for a refund. Everytime I call, I am told the package cannot be located, (not my problem), and it will be 3 MORE days for the credit to be issued. UPS shows when the package was delivered, so I don't see what the problem is.
So far this is a nightmare, and I will NEVER shop there again!

Finally got my refund. Customer service does not what the warehouse is doing, and vice versa. I still will not shop here again."
