"Other than an expected longer waiting period due to everyone wanting to upgrade to Windows 7 during the holiday season, I am delighted with my experience with AVA Direct. "Excellent service all around. The computer arrived packaged extremely well for UPS transit. The quality and construction blew me away - I was not expecting the attention to detail to be so high (the cable management is amazing). While waiting for my computer to arrive, I read the company's forum featuring all the praises, but this was nothing like I expected. The computer is a work of art and I was up and running out of the box in a matter of minutes. The customer service team responded to all my inquiries (and I had a lot) within 24 hours, if not sooner, every time."

"All in all the experience with AVADirect has been quite positive. I configured a desktop computer and submitted the order. Over the next week, I changed my mind about components 4 or 5 times. Each time AVA was able to quickly and nicely accommodate my changes. When the machine arrived, it was very well packed and sustained no damage at all in shipping. The build quality is quite good; all wiring neat and bundled. Best of all, everything works perfectly.
I had a technical support question which was answered within the hour by email from AVA. Turns out the fault was on my end.
A great job by AVADirect. I would order from them again."

I'm sure your technical support is great, too - I just didn't need to call upon it! It would have saved me a little time if your website had indicated how to use PayPal - thereby avoiding the dreaded fax on purchases over $1000. (I don't see that many fax machines around anymore.) Even better would be for PayPal to be just another one of your normal payment options."

Experience was excellent. Certainly lived up to the on line reviews I read. Not realy complaining aobut processing time. Was just off by about 4 days on quoted time to receive. I would have rather had it built right than rush the build. Would call processing time 4 (good), everything else 5(excellent). Subsequent tech support since receiving has been great as well."

"I just received my first AVA computer in the mail today. It is housed in a Cooler Master Cosmos S case, and it is a thing of beauty. Popping the case open and looking inside the plumbing was, as it seems to someone who's built several of his own computers, very well done also. I think I'm going to like this system. So here's my experience with AVA.
Pros:
-Best selection of components for the price I've seen on any custom rig site I could find.
-They spent someplace around two weeks testing and burning in the parts, as a result everything works perfectly so far.
-Prompt response to any communication through a simple message system on my account page on their website.
-System was shipped with probably 500% of the packing protection needed to get it here in one piece.. and it from that it looks like it was cleaned and polished ten minutes before it arrived on my door.
Cons:
-Every time I submitted a potential build to them for compatibility information I got a reply with a build $400 - $500 more, though I was able to build exactly what I wanted for what I wanted to pay with no real resistance, so this is a very minor con.
-For the money I spent, I'd have expected free shipping, but it wasn't that much for the weight, so this is also a minor gripe.
Overall, considering I've had the computer up and running for about 8 hours, I'm so far very satisfied and the buying process was very pleasant. Barring this thing blowing up in the next few days, I would quickly do business with AVA again in the future.

Some of the choices available during customization were not clear. It was
not clear if items would cause conflict or were exactly what was desired. It
would serve the AVA website well to have some guidance on components. I spent
the time and researched components to ensure my system would be set up as
desired, but I have an Electrical Engineering degree. Someone with less
technical prowess might not have taken the time and would have gone
elsewhere. The computer is fantastic. There were a few missing check marks
in the build book, but nothing important. The time it took to process the
financial part was also problematic. If I hadn't read a review that said it
was going to proceed in that fashion, I would have given up after the second
failure to process my card. What is the point in filling out the form when
ordering and then filling it out again, if in the end I have to call the
card company to make it all right. Jump to that step earlier. Overall, it was worth the effort and time to get this computer, as it totally rocks. My home laptop's performance puts my work desktops to shame."

"Recently received by I7 chipped 15 inch clevo laptop. Everything looks great and works well on this fine laptop. Initially there was an oversight with no wireless card but the company immediately addressed situation. . .They shipped me a card at no expense and provided the technical guidance for me to install it and provided all support necessary to ensure I was a satisfied customer. Hopefully the speed bumps with the delivery process are being addressed and my faith is restored at this point with AVA. Thanks Chris and Misha for your concern and action."

"I'm rating the quality of the sales/ordering process, since I decided not to place an order. The salesman, James, promised to call me back to discuss my email sales quote. He informed me that the prices on the website are not "in real time" and therefore change all the time; I can only place the order with a representative to get an actual price. He called 3 times to say that he still diidn't have time to review my order, even though I told him I needed to place the order today. I waited around for 3 hours, then he finally told me that they were closing for the day and he didn't have time to complete the order. This was a most frustrating and shady experience. What business quotes prices on their website that are not accurate at the time you place an order? BEWARE! I think that many of the negative reviews for this company may have been deleted because no order has actually been placed (per guidelines on site). I strongly advise you to avoid this company because of the "bait and switch" sales tactics."
