"I called to inquire about replacing our existing original claw foot tub from the early 1900’s. My question was pertaining to the hot and cold water lines that are just a few inches from the base of the floor where the old claw foot tub was connected. I noticed that the tub I was interested in came as a kit with the faucet, shower head, etc and the connections for the hot and cold water are for floor mounted hot/cold water lines. I just wanted to be sure this company’s beautiful tubs would accommodate our plumbing situation.
The customer service rep wasn’t clear on what I was asking and then stated we have to have the water lines plumbed through the floor. This didn’t seem accurate so I then did some research on the website and found they sell flexible stainless steel water lines that will accommodate our plumbing.
I was surprised by the difficulty the customer service rep had in understanding my question and then provided me with inaccurate information.
This interaction didn’t stop me from doing some quick research and proceeding with a purchase. We are greatly looking forward to receiving our new claw foot tub."
"Two days after I placed my order I received an invoice which indicated all of the items in my order are on back order for over 2 weeks. Very disappointed."
"First order wrong item sent. Second order part was damaged and unusable. I paid plumber $200 plus for initial install that needed to be cancelled due to wrong item sent. Second install paid plumber $65. to replace damaged part. Never a reply from Vintage despite several emails and phone call and texts. Their mistakes cost me nearly $300. No way to do business. A big headache."
"After placing an order and it was processed, found out the sink we ordered was discontinued. The website still has it up as available. Customer service was excellent in helping me cancel the entire order."
"What a difference it makes to reach a human being right away when you call a company! And both sales people I spoke with at Vintage Tub & Bath were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are very reasonable, but I would have been happy to pay more just for the positive customer service!"
"I ordered two wall faucets and two regular bathroom faucets. Only after I placed my order was I told that the wall faucets were backordered. Then I was told that they were being discontinued. I needed to cancel my entire order at that point because all of the faucets were intended to match however was then told that the in stock faucets were already shipped and I would need to make a return. Unacceptable, terrible customer service."
"Most appliances take a week or less to deliver. The ads and descriptions did not indicate a delivery time. I learned after I had placed my order, it would take several months to back order it. Had to cancel the order.
This could have been avoided if the delivery/back order information had been placed in the product description.
Costs me several days in delayed installation."
"Nice guy named Chris arrived and got right to work.
He sanded down and did a couple of coats to the claw foot club and was grateful we had created a dust free zone for him. It was a quick process and good to be able to share the company with friends. Thanks for your part in making a beautiful bath."
"My item was backordered and the ETA has come and gone. I've emailed and called regarding the order and was told warehouse would get back to me on what to expect; but they have not, although my credit card has been charged. I'm on the verge of asking for a refund."
Good Customer Service but Ridiculously Poor Shipping with Damage
"I ordered the DreamLine Neo Shower. I received the first base damaged. The problem is that the base is not being packed well. Called and customer service was great and said they would send a new base. I was supposed to be contacted when the order went to the warehouse. Never heard until I got an email ready to ship. Ok so I waited 8 days from start to finish and got the replacement. Again it was damaged but now I have no choice because they need to get going to finish the job. I was very disappointed because whoever is packing these bases are not inspecting them because I assume they are made somewhere else. If not then whoever is packing them needs to make a better more well cushioned and protected box."
"I originally purchased this vintage style downspout in 2016; however, both the hot and cold cartridges had failed by 2022 and were continuously dripping. This would not have been a problem except for the fact that I could not replace the ceramic cartridges. The locking nut on the hot cartridge would not budge; there was no way to loosen it in order to remove the cartridge even after treating it with WD-40. (I even had a local handyman try to no avail.) I had better luck on the cold side; however, none of my local hardware stores (Ace, Lowe's, etc.) carried the right size cartridges for this tap. At a dead end, I turned to the internet. Because there is no manufacturer's name anywhere on this hardware, I had no idea what brand I was looking for but came upon the Mason-Hill Wall Mount Downspout, which looked like a dead ringer for the one on my tub. Since faucets for claw foot tubs are few and far between, I took the gamble and ordered. Luckily for me, they appear to be identical; the shank and nut from the old faucet (already installed on the tub) fit the new faucet body, so it was easy to swap out the fixture. Hopefully this new fixture will stand the test of time!"
