"I just bought a new set of Taylormade M2 irons which were delivered today. This is my 2nd time using RBG, although its been a number of years since my last purchase. This iron set was the cheapest I could find across the net, and trust me, I looked long and hard. Clubs shipped same day, only took 2 days for the free economy shipping to be delivered (shipped from Virginia to Indiana). Im surprised to see RBG have such a low average rating here, but it does seem that it mostly centers around returning items and having to deal with customer service. I personally would not hesitate to use them again."
"Bought a Canon printer from Sams Club for $90 a while ago and the original ink just ran out last week. I had a gift card for Sams that had about $30 on it, so thought Id go back and get ink. The replacement ink for it was $80!! I left and decided to look online for something cheaper. Came across inkcartridges.com and their prices were incredible. A DOUBLE set pack of XL cartridges was $53. Before I order online from a store Ive not used I come here to see if there are reviews. Inkcartridges.com had 8.75/10 with tons of reviews, good enough for me. I decided to order just 1 set of XL cartridges ($26.95 after coupon code) to try them out first before ordering the double set. Ink arrived within 2 days of shipping. The 1st cartridges gave me a little trouble getting it snapped in, it looked like the retention spring on the front was a little bent. I matched it up to the original cartridge, bent it to the same angle, then it snapped in fine. The other 4 cartridges snapped in without issue. Printer is back in business at a SIGNIFICANT savings. Next order will be a double set of the XLs for me. Im still dumbfounded that a set of replacement Ink often costs the same as the whole printer. Thankfully there are alternative like inkcartridges.com"
"I was pretty skeptical about ordering from CCS since the reviews here only gave it 2.25 out of 10. However, in reading some of them I think that score might be a bit unfair. One person gave a 1 star rating for not getting a free koozie (seriously?) and someone else gave it 1 star for "selling junk batteries." Um...I didnt see any batteries during my search on the site for skate shoes so this this review is obviously from the wrong company.
Anyway, I decided to go ahead and take a chance. Considering CCS is the #1 search result on Google for skate shoes, I assume they had to be a reputable company.
I ordered a pair of shoes on Sunday, Nov 17. I received my confirmation email within minutes. My shoes shipped the next day and were delivered on Wednesday the 20th.
Overall I am very happy with my shopping experience with CSS. It seems a number of the legit bad reviews were based around bad customer service, and in particular issues with trying to return things. Hopefully I wont have to find out if these are legitimate gripes as I dont plan on returning the shoes as they fit fine."
"Bought a bed in a bag set on Jan 21, 2013. Received it in a reasonable time (cant remember how long it took to take delivery). I did not use the set for at least a month, it just sat in the bag in the closet.
I finally put in on the bed in late February 2013. By mid-late March I noticed several rips in some of the seams of the comforter. I contacted their customer service department and was told they cannot do anything after 30 days.
So now Im stuck with a comforter thats literally falling apart at the seams. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The price was good, which was a big reason why I ordered from there. Buyer beware."
"I was looking for some inline hockey skates on the (relative) cheap. I found a pair on one site Id decided to get that were fairly inexpensive as they were an older model that had been replaced with something else. I didnt order right away, came back later that night to order and my size was sold out. So I searched around for the same skate and came across greatskate.com.
I *think* this site is advertised on the NHL channel, as it sounded familiar, so I felt it was fairly reputable. I rarely order anything from a site that doesnt have some good customer feedback, but greatskate didnt have any ratings here. I decided to give them a try anyway.
The skates Id wanted at the other site (Mission Axiom A2) were going to be about $85 shipped. I found the next model up (Mission Axiom A3) on greatskate for about $5 less, with free shipping. My order was placed on Sunday night, I got shipping notice on Monday afternoon, skates delivered Wednesday afternoon.
Overall very pleased with greatskate.com and will buy from again."
"I highly recommend IceWarehouse. My son is just getting into hockey and I was looking at a few local places at gear. Or course before I bought I came home and searched online. I came across IW and their prices were 1/3, sometimes 1/2 the price of the local B&M stores. I compared prices at several of the big sites (h-monkey, h-giant, totalhockey, etc) and IW was always cheapest, not to mention 10% off every order plus free shipping over $50. I placed 2 orders, one on a Saturday, one the next day. Both orders shipped Monday, gear arrived in time for weekend play :)
Before I ordered, or order from any site online, I always check resellerRatings. I saw IW had excellent reviews so I did not hesitate.
edit March 9, 2013 - since my initial review I have placed 2 more orders with Icewarehouse. All orders processed quickly, in 1 case it was same day as I ordered early. And all orders shipped same day as they were processed. Prices cant be beat, free shipping beats any other hockey site. This is the only site I will buy hockey gear from. 5 stars across the board."
"Id heard of Zzounds but had never purchased anything from them. Id checked reviews and saw that overall most people has good shopping experiences with them. Recently I was in the market for a new guitar. Every site I checked listed it at the same price, $1149. I opted to try Zzounds and use their 4 pay as you play plan. That in itself is worth a positive review, that a company will allow you to break your payments into installments.
After I purchased my guitar I was looking around online and came across another site (a site Id never heard of at that) that listed the same guitar at $150 off, $999. I was pretty upset with myself and assumed I was stuck paying the higher price. The order Id placed had already processed and was sent to shipment. So short of refusing delivery when it got here I just made a $150 mistake.
Figuring I had nothing to lose by calling and seeing about a price adjustment, I called Zzounds to see if they would price match. It was a nice surprise to hear a CSR that actually spoke English and that I could understand. Kudos to Zzounds for keeping their order/call center in the USA. The gentleman I spoke with went to the other site where I told him I saw the same guitar for $150 less. He said Zzounds would absolutely price match, even though Id already placed the order, and with a 5 minute phone call I just saved myself $150.
Zzounds is definitely doing it right. Ill shop Zzounds for all my music needs in the future."
