"The order process for a Next Generation Anywhere Remote was straight forward and it arrived when promised. It was dead-on-arrival. I asked for a replacement on the customer service web page, and Amazon sent me return shipping label. A day or two later I got notification Email that NY Electronics was out of stock and did not expect more for 6+ weeks, so I asked for a refund. A follow up check 1-2 days later showed a different Amazon retailer currently offering them at the same price, but Amazon would/could not do the replacement that way. The refund got to my credit card in a reasonable time."
"Wanted the Aphid Chasers and Charley's seemed like a good bet. The price was higher than I had paid last year at a brick & mortar store, but when I found the Special Buy section the offer was terrific - packs of 6 for $2.25. The order process was straight forward, shipped 2 days later via FedEx Home and arrived 6 days after shipping.
Unfortunately, the surprise was that they delivered packs of 4 for $2.25. That's still a good deal, but if I'd known in advance I may have ordered a few more packs. And the 6 per pack at $2.25 is still on their web site.
Their response to my inquiry was acknowledgment that the web site was wrong an an offer for additional packs with zero shipping costs. These folks are good people and responsive. I got the quantity I wanted at a great price."
"I found more selection in ramps for my dog here than anywhere else. I selected a 7 ft. aluminum ramp with grit traction. I called customer service for a dimension that was not published and received the answer within a few minutes. The price was competitive and I received it faster than their shipping promise. It arrived in good condition and works well. The locking nuts on the hinge points were loose, but that took me 3 minutes to fix.
I also ordered a pet barrier for my station wagon. It was about as I expected, with the side extensions just a little flimsier than I hoped.
Email confirmation and notification of shipment were complete and timely."
"I've been a Magellan's customer for many years and ordered a couple of items on Sunday. The process was straight forward as always. Several months ago I notified them of a problem with an item I had purchased too long ago to expect any recourse, but it took me that long to determine what was keeping it from working. The customer service fellow thanked me for notifying them and then, to my surprise, I was told to return it and they would give me a credit. So I called the following Monday and asked about this credit. The customer service rep found the credit and applied it to my order. The "best way" shipping fee was $0.00 and my package arrived on Tuesday AM.
These are 1st class folks and I'll never hesitate to order from them."
"I found Christmas gifts for my wife at LL Bean and placed another order on-line. For items in stock they didn't ship for a week, but were send 2nd day air and did arrive before Christmas. There was a "free shipping" offer in place, so no extra charges. The items were as described (the jacket looks better in person than in catalog or web) and fit well."
"Allied had all the items I wanted at reasonable prices. Their on-line catalog looks good but lacks a "search by characteristics" feature. The shipping charge was not shown but established at the time of shipping. I chose standard shipping and the items all arrived 5-6 days later, which was very good so close to Christmas. I was not charged tax on the shipping fee of <$9 for about 2 lb."
"Web order process worked OK. They handled my next-business-day request for faster shipping well and the BidetSpa toilet seat arrived as promised and in good condition (even though the shipped didn't follow the "this side up" completely. Installation was per the instructions. HOWEVER, there were 3 significant surprises that were not documented on the web site:
1. The requirement to ventilate the bathroom while taking a shower to keep the humidity down requires leaving a door or window open or installing a vent fan. A subsequent Email response stated that this is a UL requirement, but the units have been tested under much more severe conditions with no problems seen.
2. A light weight and angled cover cannot be used as a seat.
3. The forward shift in the seat opening, about 4" on our older toilet, is awkward for men.
This can be a costly problem if any of the undocumented "features" makes it unacceptable, as once the box is opened it cannot be returned. The seat is not sealed in plastic inside the box, so opening the box to get the documentation must be assumed to break the sanitary seal and make it non-returnable.
If looking for a Bidet toilet seat, I would shop there again but would request more detailed dimensions before purchasing."
"I found the Victorinox vegetable peeler I wanted and ordered from KnifeZone in Canada. The price was reasonable and they called me to confirm the order before shipping it. Lowest cost shipping arrived in about 5 days. Everything was as I expected. The shipping cost was high, was stated up front so no surprise, and may be reasonable for international shipping."
"I placed the order on the assumption that the manufacturer's dimensional discrepancy was going to make things work. The phone order/customer service person was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, and gave me the manufacturer's web site. Later in the day I found the same discrepancy on the manufacturer's web site and the their customer service rep thanked me for identifying it. The dimension was resolved, but it wouldn't fit on my toilet. I called back to cancel the order, was treated well and my credit card statement shows the charge and credit the same day."
"They had the DLP TV projection lamp I needed and a printer I was interested in, both at attractive prices. I wasted some money with 2nd day UPS delivery as the weekend delayed delivery. The ordering was done by phone and the representative was accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient."
"A disaster! I really want the vegetable peelers and rose clippers as they are the easiest to use and well made. However, after fighting through the frustrating order process I hoped to get these items. My credit card was charged immediately. About 40 days later I tried to get the status of the order, but the Email address I was given rejected messages as no such account, and there was no telephone number published. I finally re-registered on the web site and filed a support ticket. So far, 30 days later, there has been no response.
The credit card challenge process resulted in the appropriate credit to my account. NOTE: the request for credit needs to be made 30 - 45 days after the order was placed. I have never received any communication from Brand Mates or the Victorinox Shop. I did get the vegetable peelers from www.KnifeZone.ca."
