"I have ordered several items from Tiger Direct over the years - but this time was the first I had to contact Customer Service - and what an oxymoron that turned out to be - they should rename themselves Order Bafoons or Customer Disservice. The order was for a Toshiba A3 HD-DVD player and was a birthday gift for a friend - I called Customer Service to MAKE SURE that they were in stock - which I was assured they were - placed my order and was given a confirmation/order number - this was Sunday. On the following Friday - after not getting the usual shipping notification email - I called CS and was told that they were out of stock and the order had been cancelled. (I promptly reordered from another source - and the order shipped the next day - and the price was LESS than Tigar Directs) Two weeks later - I get an email from Tiger Direct - that one of the "free" DVD's "Appolo Thirteen" had shipped and I was being billed $18!!! I promptly called Customer Disservice and was told that the UPS shipment would be diverted and that my credit card would be credited for the full amount. On 6/10/2008 my credit card was only credited for $7.99 and I am out the other $10. This has been a Customer Service nightmare and the TRUE nature of Tiger Directs real stripes shows that it's ok to order - but pray that nothing happens to your order - because they will invent ways to screw it up."

We sincerely apologize for your dissatisfaction. When you placed that order 2 months ago, that was the last batch of HD-DVD's that we were ever going to have, so many customers purchased them. We apologize you were not made away of the backorder sooner. The charge was for one of the movies (the movie's cost is built into the price of the bundle, making them "free") and the shipping of your total order. My records indicate that you have been refunded the full amount in 2 seperate refunds: the shipping-7.99 on 6/9, and the movie-9.97 on 7/15 (please allow 3-5 days to see those funds). "Very good customer service advice pre-purchase - prompt shipment (ordered Friday evening - shipped Monday) arrived 5 days later via FedEx - double boxed and in very good condition - low price with free shipping made it best deal on the net for an Onkyo TX-SR805 receiver-eh!!"

"Ordered a LiteOn SHW16P6S and they sent a LiteOn LH18A1P instead!! I have been trying for the last 5 months + to either get them to replace the burner with the correct one or give me an RMA with full refund- I have sent them six emails of which they have responded to one - which said that they substituted the one unit for the other - which I told them all along - bottom line - STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE - unless you don't want any semblance of customer service-eh!!"

"Excellent service, prices and shipping- This purchase is for a 27 inch LCD HDTV for my wifes work room- Actually ordered it on Dec 22 after 5pm so that it wouldn't ship until after Christmas and have to go through the UPS's temporary help gorillas - as my driver had said that the week after Christmas is the lightest week of the year for UPS - anyway - left Tuesday - here Thursday afternoon - right on schedule as always and I saved $200 in the deal!!"
