"If I had been smart and looked at the BBB (F rating), Yelp & ResellerRatings pages, I wouldn't have placed an order. I'm having the same issues with them that everyone is complaining about on these pages. You get horrible runaround answers... and products are unusable. :( I'm sorry this is long, but it shows what I'm presently going through since February with them.
****** First order on 2/22/18 $149 - Lightweight Cloth (says 7-10 days online)
Called to check on the status after 10 days. First was told it would ship in a few days. Called back the next week and was told they were having printer issues and they were backed up – she said she would call me when the issues are fixed… no one ever called. Received 03/16/18 – damaged with large vertical black streaks all over it (unusable). Sent back 3/17/18 after they asked for pictures of it. Received again 3/26/18 – Still unusable.. and I gave up. Horizontal black lines this time that shows every few inches from the printer. Ended up using and putting a texture on top of it during editing to get the photos done. Won’t be using it again…. Waste of money.
*******Second order (2 items) 02/25/18 $168
(1) Painted Muslin – to date, never received (says 6-8 weeks online)
Called after 8 weeks to ask about the status (4/24/18) and was told the manufacturer sent in backdrops that were damaged and it’d be another 8+ weeks. I asked them to cancel and give me a refund since it wouldn’t make it for my deadline. Said it would be 7-10 days for my refund after a manager approves it. Called 5/3/18 to ask about my refund status. Was told the manager hasn’t approved it yet and that was the hold-up. I asked her to get the manager so I could get more answers. I was put on hold and after a few minutes she said: “it looks like the manager has stepped away”. I asked the manager’s name and she said she didn’t know because she wasn’t in that department and wasn’t privy to that information. Then I asked her what her manager’s name was, and she said well my name is Bre. And I asked again who her manager was and she kept avoiding it and after a long silence, she finally told me “Heidi”. Bre said she would put a note on her desk. I asked her if she had looked online at the negative reviews and she said no. It does NOT take 10+ days to get a refund submitted for approval, and it does NOT take 7-10 days after someone approves it to get one......
(2) Matte Vinyl Backdrop – received 03-05-18
The “Matte” vinyl was VERY shiny. I ended up using it as a floor drop due to it being so reflective which gave me a “plexiglass” type of look, there are also black horizontal lines going through it from the printer. I have many vinyl backdrops (dark and light) and none reflect the light (nor have lines through them - not even the cheap eBay backdrops are like this LOL). Another waste of money and BIG lessons learned.
I want my money refunded. Now I'll have to start the process of a dispute with my credit card. Such an annoying company. How are they in business ?!?!?! I wish I could post photos on here of what I received ........"
"Ordered one blind on 11/27. Ship date said Dec 8. It is now Dec 22 and the blind is still in production. I would have ordered somewhere else if I had known it would take a month or longer to receive. When I do ask about my order I get different answers regarding shipping dates. It will ship Thursday... it will ship Monday... etc. But no tracking number has ever been given to me. Considering disputing charge on my credit card due to this - I'm only giving it a few more days.
Update: Jan 11. Blind was finally received after over a month - almost all my money (except $6 ???) was refunded with the agreement that I would change my rating from a 1 to a higher score. So I just updated the score due to that request. However, blind arrived in a crushed box on one side that seemed to have been opened and re-taped back up. The box containing the screws was also crushed inside and some screws were missing (which means it's still just laying in the box until I can find/buy screws). Sadly, just a bad experience all around. The box came from Sunland Shutters, maybe Select Blinds should find a new wholesaler to order their products from ........ I still would like to have the rest of my money back that wasn't refunded.... then I could go buy the screws I need......"
