"Why does their Web site state that certain items are in stock and after you place an order, you get a partial shipment notice with an item on back order. This is followed by an email with suggested alternatives at higher prices..... ever hear of "Bait and switch"?????"
"Purchased AX800 4x tv ($3500) direct from panasonic - took two weeks to get. Then sound went out after 2 hrs of operation. Spent 3 hours on the phone the next morning arguing with them. Their answer (finally): I will be contacted in 5 to 7 days to arrange a pick up date (3-5 days from call) for the TV. It will ship back (3-5 days) and be processed (3-5 days). Then I will receive a second call from the carrier within 5-7 days for the replacement to be delivered in 3-5 days. That's 34 business days! My answer: give me my money back, to which they VERY reluctantly agreed, but I'll have to wait 24 business days for a refund. Thank God for Capital One who upon hearing my story, moved the charge to dispute and credited my account. I went to Best Buy the next day and I am now a very happy Samsung 4X TV owner!"
"Terrible customer service. You'd better hope everything goes just right with your order or you're going to be in for a real adventure! 20% cancellation fee, %15 restocking fee, must use UPS or Fedex for returns. No phone help to speak of and if you do talk to someone, it is almost certain that they won't help you. I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for my money back!"
"This is a sad story of a good company slipping into a bad company. I have used Winkflash for about two years and they used to be very reliable. However, over the last 8 months, their attention to commitment has force me to overlook their prices (lowest of anywhere) and move to more expensive print suppliers. Winkflash become lazy with their delivery commitments and have cost me more than one customer as a result. Many times the order arrives 3 to 5 days late and sometimes partially fulfilled. Recently, the owner decided to close over Labor day weekend - which wouldn't be a big deal- except he made the decision on Friday before the weekend. As a result I missed my deadline to my customer based upon my phone conversation a week and half prior in which I was ensured that the long weekend wouldn't be an issue and they would be printing. On another occasion, they couldn't print an 8x10 order due to computer issue and never informed me. I finally called them and they had no problem looking up the order to tell me there was an issue over a week ago and they still hadn't resolved it. When were you planning on calling me? and the response was momentary silence followed by - well we can issue you a refund. Great - can you call my customer and apologize as well or perhaps you could reimburse me for my lost revenue. Bottom line, for the amateur home photographer that isn't worried about delivery - they are cheapest. For the professional or semi-pro, I recommend sacrificing a little profit margin for a more reliable print house."
"I live only five miles from Norman Camera and feel some alliance and security dealing with them, but when it came time to purchase my Canon 50D body, Beach beat out Norman by $100 plus a spare battery ($50) and an 8GB memory card ($70) and free shipping! I offered Norman a chance to match, but they wouldn't. The concern with Beach was all the bad press with New Jersey/New York camera rip-off stores. After much research, I decided to buy - Great decision for a change!!! Order received 2 days earlier than expected and all is well. BTW - The 50D rocks! I have since purchased a Nikon cool pix for my daughter and she is snapping away. Thanks Beach - Norman Camera, watch out - your lunch is getting eaten!"
"Same story - I order through Amazon thinking that there would be no risk using them. Wow - did I learn a lesson about these people as well as Amazon.
The listing said 2 days to process and 5 days to ship. The next day I received an email from supperbookdeals via amazon stating that delivery would be 21 business days which is about a month. Supperbookdeals will no respond and Amazon (India) says this it is not their responsibility - they are only responsible to ensure that my money gets to them. LOL - couldn't believe, in fact I don't believe, the amazon Indian rep understood what she was saying. So beware of both companies - I know I'm done with Amazon and certainly this crap store call superbookdeals!"
"I was concerned because Profeel's price was very good - almost too good. I have had some bad experiences with New York/New Jersey camera "dealers" (actually scam artists)and checked them out as best as I could. In the end, it comes down to trust. After speaking with Sharon on phone and quizzing her over and over (sorry Sharon) and checking with Canon, NY Better Business Bureau and several Google searches, I decided to purchase my lens from them. It came two days later in perfect condition with all documentation. I very happy with my purchase and I will certainly be a return customer for my next lens or camera purchase."
