VONS LIES ABOUT THEIR ONLINE ORDERING/DELIVERY PROGRAM!!!
"Von's presents the appearance of providing an online ordering experience that is similar to outer online outlets; warehouses, allocation of product to orders, once you order something and they confirm the order, they deliver it. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
vons.com actually simply hires uber drivers, door dash, etc. to go to the closest Vons and pick up your items. So if you order something (say, toilet paper...) with delivery scheduled for 2 weeks from the order date, they will accept the order, charge your credit card, and confirm the order. BUT... on the date of delivery, if they are out of stock in the local store, YOU GET NOTHING.
They don't even allocate product to an order. I know for a fact that they had toilet paper in-store at least 3 separate times before my delivery date; but on the date of delivery, they were out of stock and I got nothing. They could easily have set aside product for orders THEY HAD CONFIRMED, but they did NOT and will not.
BE WARNED: Vons.com (and Safeway.com and Albertsons.com) do NOT guarantee delivery. If it's important, get it yourself!"
"I ordered on their website and never received any tracking info. There's a way to 'email' them online, but no email address. They don't answer email queries. No other contact info. They never shipped product. They never provided any updates. You cannot get hold of them. They BILLED THE WRONG AMOUNT to my credit card - it didn't match the order. They USED A DIFFERENT NAME when they billed my credit card: "Alloyiun Trade". In short, it's a SCAM. BEWARE.
I disputed the credit card charge (for non-delivery) and immediately they ruled in my favor - these guys are known to the credit card companies."
"Typical Frys. They delivered and their price was good. But GOD FORBID I want to return in after their 15-day return period. Returns in store take an average of an hour, and after that wait about half the time they fail to accept the return. And trying to return items purchased from Frys.com in-store is incredibly difficult. If you don't want to keep it you're truly screwed. For a few dollars more you can deal with places that actually have customer service, like Newegg and even Amazon. But sometimes Fry's is either cheaper, or the only place to locate a particular product."
"Newegg beat Fry's pricing by $30 on an XFX graphics card. About 3 days after I received it, Newegg lowered the price by another $10. I contacted them; they refunded the $10. The card shipped FedX 2nd day at no charge. Great Value, Great Customer Service!!!"
