"I purchased a .web.za domain and before coming to 101 domain i visited a couple of websites offering the same service but were all telling me registration will take 3 days to review then a week to complete and then pay a monthly fee . When i visited 101domain.com my .web.za domain was registered within 2 days and i think the delay was with my paypal account and then there are no monthly fees attached to the domain registered."

"I purchased a domain 16 days ago and it has still not been registered. Two other subsequent purchases are still 'pending.' I have been in contact with Customer Service once, but they failed to meet the service goals they promised me.

It's clear this registrar is not ready for mission-critical applications.

In response to the reply below - 101domain needs to set the proper expectation of service. If there is an issue with certain TLD's, then it is best to be up front about expectations and responsibilities. If there is a delay, you should at least reach-out to me and tell me rather than me having assume what is going on.

"every time I do an online chat I am told different information. Over a week has passed since I placed my domain order, its still showing as pending and 101 can not tell me when the application will be processed by the registrar ( since placing my order I have been told I would be advised by Saturday 17th Oct at 16.59, then I was told 3-5 days, and most recently was told that 101 cant advise how long it will take)

"This was only my second time to register a domain. Using another supplier the experience was positive, fast, easy and good communication.

With 101domain the experience was somewhat different.
The process stated the 28th of July when I paid the first invoice Finally the 23nd of October, I have access to webpage and made the mail operational after months of frustration.

Due to slow communication I get the feeling that the client has to be the expert and drive the process. In the very end it worked after finally asking 101 to follow your own instructions.... and ups there was a small error. "Please use port 2525 instead of 25)

Please consider a more informative communication about which step a new client should expect, expected time, and what the client is supposed to do in terms of presenting documents, change DNS and finally please check you description of mail set up and different server port.
