"Found the globe for my 11 year old ceiling fan without having to buy the whole light kit. It was the only place I could find it without a lot of of hassle and markup.
It was $16, free shipping, no tax, added to cart, used the SIMPLE10 coupon code for 10% off, used PayPal and was done.

I ordered on May 20th around 2pm PT. It was delivered UPS to my door around 3pm the next day. Wow!! again Wow!!!

I read the ratings here before I ordered. I thought I would give it a go anyways. Glad I did.

I know my order was dropped shipped from the manufacturer and 1StopLighting is just the middle man. Well, so are the retail lighting stores, buutt... without the huge markup.

My advise to the negatives here, or anyone else, knowing that your order may/will be drop shipped, call the manufacturer 1st to see if they have it in stock, then order. It's just that simple.

"I first ordered 7 lights through Amazon but sold through 1Stoplighting. I had to return that order because the finish was not what I needed. However, I was so impressed with the fast shipping and customer service I received, I found other lights to replace them. Again, shipping was super fast and customer service was great. I would definitely shop here again."

"This "company" really functions more like a broker for other fulfillment services. Because of that, they have NO CLUE as to the inventory that is available, nor ANY CONTROL over exactly what gets filled and what doesn't. You can ignore their guarantees on shipment times. Some stuff shown as "in stock" may be, and you'll get it when you expect. But it's a gamble. Email and call to cancel when, after ordering, you learn there will be a delay? useless. If you're on a schedule, shop elsewhere. I had to, in order to maintain my construction+inspection schedule. Now I have extra items because they didn't cancel the shipment. "

"I ordered 3 items in a fan kit totaling $466 ONLY because I was told that had all parts were in stock in their warehouse. I needed all parts in two weeks for an electrician to install.
- NOTHING was in stock.
- Company policy (!) is to charge your card card IMMEDIATELY even though items are back-ordered.
- 1STOPlighting did not answer emails regarding delays.
- Phone calls yielded broken promise after broken promise.
- Company took no action until I filed complaint with VISA.
Even then, it took weeks and follow-up contacts to obtain full credit.

Their website promises quick service, but the company seems to exist only as an order taking firm that processes drop shipments from other suppliers. Delays, broken promises, and delays in issuing credit card refunds truly deserve zero stars.

BOTTOM LINE: Look elsewhere. I wish I had read merchant reviews before giving them my credit card number.

"I found a lot of bad commentary about this company (and all of it's many other rebranded websites that it runs) but my personal experience using them twice now - once for a ceiling fan and once for about $1000 worth of lighting fixtures - has been excellent. Their customer service is fairly responsive and has always been helpful.

I love that they treat Canadian customers with the same value as their domestic customers. Their to-your-door pricing for Canadians is extremely fair. It does sometimes take quite a long time to receive your order due to the way they handle international shipping but at the end of the day the savings are worth the wait.

"I placed an order for 7 vanity lights on 5/20/12. Six were delivered on 5/24/12. The seventh was entered into FedEx's tracking system but was not ever turned over to FedEx. I called and spoke to customer service on 5/25/12. They were helpful and told me that a replacement FedEx tracking number would be forthcoming.

Overall, I am pleased with the experience. The prices were very competitive. The delivery time for 6 of the 7 items I purchased exceeded my expectations. The products arrived well-packed and intact.

I was slightly concerned with the ratings on this website but the experience I had was not consistent with those that left ratings before I did. I think that most people are more inclined to leave a bad review than a good one. I would not overlook this site if the price is right.

UPDATE: The 7th item has been a hassle. It took 3 chat sessions and two phone calls to sort it out. The item finally shipped on 6/13/12 and delivered on 6/18/12. I would have given them 5 stars but I took a star off since this issue should have been handled with an updated tracking number the first time. 1StopLighting blamed the vendor. A 1Stop agent (Ryan) did call me on my mobile number to give me an update the day after the last inquiry and with tracking info once it was obtained from the vendor. That was a nice touch.

"I purchased a light on Feb 13/2012. By early March, I had heard nothing, not that the item had been shipped, delayed, whatever. I called and emailed and was finally told that the item was back ordered to March 14. They said they would send me the tracking info as soon as they received it. I was informed that the item was shipped on March 19, and I got a tracking number. I periodically tried to follow the tracking but could not. After several unanswered emails and phone calls to find out why or where my item was, I was finally told on April 5 that I was given incorrect tracking info (including the wrong courier company). They were to contact the manufacturer and give me correct tracking info. Of course they did not. I called PayPal but they couldn't do much because it was over 45 days. I had to go to my credit card company and get it from them. Hopefully I will be credited on my next bill.
These people are very friendly when you talk to them and promise to look into whatever issue you are having, but never do. I have no idea where my item is, and after more than 2 months waiting for nothing, I have to start over, with another company.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

"This is a bogus company with misleading offers and tricky business practices -- save yourself some pain & suffering & buy from someone else. For the product I ordered, they boldly claimed that the item would be delivered "in 3 days or we give you $60", but when it didn't arrive after a full week, they tell you it was actually coming by truck and the offer isn't good on truck deliveries. (I wouldn't be surprised if all their products are delivered via truck, and they just lure you to make your credit card payment & find out 3 days later that you're screwed.) Meanwhile, I've rented scaffolding to have the chandelier installed & my 2-year old son is constantly trying to off himself by climbing it. Another perturbing detail: the order cutoff for the 3-day countdown is 10am Pacific time, but when I placed my order, the time on the receipt was actually marked an hour later. (I too am on Pacific time, and since the receipt came quickly, I was not fooled.) Don't let this company take your money and disappoint you the way they've disappointed so many others. I wish I'd read the reviews first and gone with a reputable business. These guys are frauds. "

"Never again!
I chose 1stoplighting for the price + the fact they ship to Canada. First off, they lie when they say they don't charge for shipping to Canada - they charge a $20 "paperwork" fee. Then they take 3 weeks to ship. That's a long time to fill out one customs declaration.
Anyway, a month later, my order arrives as promised, but there was no care taken in packing, and glass is broken. So begins my adventure with their customer service.
I called the customer service line to request replacement parts and was on hold for over an hour before speaking to a rep. By that time I'd already gone thru the online chat process and filled out the online replacement request form, but I was curious just how long it would take.
The replacement order doesn't show up in the online order history, so now I have to contact customer service if I want an update on my order. 2 weeks later, it's finally scheduled to ship at the end of the week, when presumably I'll get a tracking number emailed. It took 30 minutes to get this information from the online chat rep.
They sent the right product, in the time promised, at a reasonable price. But the timeframe was unreasonably slow, they made no attempt to expedite my replacement pieces, and customer service is just unacceptable and unprofessional. It's week 6, and I'm still waiting to receive a fully functional light. I will never order from 1stoplighting again.

"If you are reading reviews that means you are either thinking of making a purchase from 1STOPLIGHTING or trying to find out if you are the only unfortunate one who is having a bad experience. I read reviews before I ordered and you know you just can’t please everyone; the overall appeared to be all right. The price was right and after all if you don’t get your order in 3 days they will give you $60.00. Sounds like a good deal.
On March 30, 2011 I ordered, over the Internet, one wall and one ceiling light charged on my credit card the day of the order. The wall light arrived April 5, 2011 with no mention of the matching ceiling light. Only after checking the status of the order did I discover the second light was on back order. I sent email April 11, 2011 and was informed that back ordered items do not qualify for the $60.00 delivery credit but was offered a $25.00 credit if I would wait for the back order. (still waiting) Every time I checked the delivery status the date had been extended. Save your time calling the toll free number to see if the item you want is in stock before you order. On July 18, 2011 I called to inquire if this particular light was in stock, it was still being advertised with the same $60.00 delivery credit and even went on sale in May for less then I paid. Not only did the lady say it was in stock, she repeated the item number and told me they had 20 of them. I had this conversation recorded and emailed the recording to 1STOPLIGHTING requesting to know why I didn’t get my light when they had 20 of them in stock. Eleven days later I received a call from Stacy informing me that the lady that told me they had 20 of the lights made a mistake. She apologized and said she would send me a check for $60.00 and call me back the following Monday to give me the status of my back ordered light. That was 3 months ago. I have yet to receive a call back from Stacy nor a check for $60.00. I did finally receive the light on September 7, 2011. I see now that they offer $100.00 delivery credit within 3 days. How can a company advertise for sale an item that they know they don’t have, tell you they have several, offer you money back if you don’t get your order within 3 days, and not back up anything they say? Is this legal?

"DO NOT USE THEM!!!!Geoff Dawe Manager ***-***-**** x205 office was willing to take my order for over $586 on 1 order-- out of stock half of it, tell me he would credit my Visa account for over $250 and then NEVER did. Repeated emails have not resulted in a response...In addition I placed another order, where the product was not what was on the internet. I was told I would receive a return authorization 2 days later-- it is now 2 weeks later!! Again for over $200 in charges to my card....
They are FRAUDULENT...go to Lowe's they have beautiful lights for half the price, and stand behind what they sell...

"I ordered a pair of bathroom wall sconces with an estimated ship date of 1-2 weeks. My credit card was charged immediately. After 2 weeks, I contacted them and was told the sconces would ship in a few days, and that the warehouse had been closed for a week for the holidays. The projected ship date slipped again and again, so in frustration I canceled the order. To my surprise their CSR said I would not be credited immediately, but that they would have to contact the sconce manufacturer first. (Apparently 1STOPlighting did not stock the sconces and would have-drop shipped them from the maker.) After yet another contact demanding the credit, and threatening to dispute the charge, I did get a refund."
